Decimation is ok, but what about the Upgraded Bone Blowpipe? It is also a T87, and costs less than 2m ! (T90 accuracy with T85 damage) (please don't waste the extra 10m just for the decimation's special attack or the 2 tiers of damage 😨 it's **really** not worth it. save the money for a T90 / T92 )
What? I have a couple banked just for fun, Decimation is dirt cheap and they're potentially reducing the specials adrenaline cost from 50% to 30 or 35%
@@alvindejager2684 If money isn't a problem, absolutely, go with decimation. I had a lot of fun with it in the past. Specially if they do change the special cost it to 30% adrenaline. And if the plan is to do a lot of slayer tasks that make use of the AOE, then it's really nice. That would definitely be worth the 10m difference. But if someone is starting pvm and want to save for T90/92/95, between the two, having to pay 10m extra just for a niche special... I personally would buy the cheap cheap Upgraded Bone Blowpipe & skip Decimation to get a T90. Personal preference, really~ imo: +slayer = decimation/blowpipe/(chinchompas??) +fun = decimation +bossing = blowpipe (remember, it has T90 accuracy) +savings = blowpipe
blowpipe has a range of 6, decimation's range is 9. You can use special arrows with decimation, blowpipe is classified as thrown weapon so you can't get ammo bonus. Even if decimation had no special whatsoever, it would still be many times better. I would suggest investing in decimation+wyvern crossbow then save up for the 92s.
If you're able to do the Nomad's Elegy quest (tough bossfight), you can make an urn enhancer for 25% more xp when urns gets filled/teleported which could make a massive difference in XP Also worth mentioning Restoration Portents don't use up adrenaline and you can make Attuned versions which heal even more. About 600hp more for the attuned X version could add up in a fight
I kinda wish portents of restoration were toggleable so you could take exactly 1 but not have it proc until a specific part of a fight. Right now the closest thing I can come up with would be to store a tradeable one in a bob. But what if you want to use a hellhound or dps familiar? Also you can't store the untradable ones in s bob.
magic notepaper is definitely more versatile, but a good alternative is the Death Note archaeology relic power. I use them at the lava strykewyrms to collect ashes for 10-17m gp per hour fairly afk ( I also use legendary pets looting so i dont have to worry about picking up the ashes most of the time)
Just a heads up, If/when you have completed your Wilderness Tasks, just keeping the Wildy Sword 4 in your inventory does the same thing (note your searing ashes) for free/extra relic slot
One of my tips is using unicorns for their ability for anyone who wants longer slayer/PvM sessions (and obv along side notepaper). Their pouch is dirt cheap, sits anywhere from 1.9k - 3k, last an hour, and their scroll is dirt cheap at normally under 200gp, and the unicorn last an hour. You'll save a ton of inventory space bringing 4 or 8 pouches and 1 or 2 super restores, and you'll have 4 - 8 hours of being able to spam a decent heal for very cheap (10% max hp per heal), letting you not worry about bringing food and being able to fill your inv. with items you cant really note (like rare drops that you get 1 of). Obviously this is aimed more towards newer players who dont have pak yak yet
I been on OSRS for awhile now but miss my RS3 ironman and keeping up on your vids helps as it's been a few years since I played actively and hopefully I won't feel as lost if I ever hop back on. Happy new year and thanks for the vids B)
Sadly, most of the decorated urns may seem cheap as 1 item alone, but the amount you will need to level up to 99/120 adds up and can become really very expensive. Especially for those urns that don't give as much xp (e.g. Runecrafting urn gives 1.4k versus Mining urn giving you 625 xp). Correct me if I'm wrong.
Once again, it all comes down to how much your time is worth. I'd say, the fact that you get free xp (free of time) at the cost of 2-4gp/xp is worth it for pretty much all cases. After all, it's not like you are using that many urns, since the bulk of the xp comes from the training method itself. Let's say you use 20 urns an hour which I assume is a normal average for most skills. That would, at worst, be 200k gp/h on urns which in turn will increase your xp/h by roughly 25%. Pretty much anyone, regardless of level, can make 200k gp/h in 2024. A new account can just kill chickens, pick up bones and feathers and make that amount of money.
You can only add runes to urns that you can craft yourself, so instead of buying them you can just make them for 2 clay. Also, the mining urn only gives 625 xp, but it only takes 3,125 xp to fill up. Conversely, while the rc urn grants 1,400 xp, it takes 7,000 xp to fill. Basically they always return 20% of the value put into them (25% with an enhancer)
You don’t have to use runes on skilling urns. You can as of late last year wield a staff with the required runes and they will activate. Saves a lot of money especially for hunting urns. Sadly from my testing the Nature staff from dung does work but consumes the runes from it and it doesn’t proc the chance of saving a rune. At least it hasn’t for me in over 1k farming urns.
The decimation and attuned crystal bows are my go to "running around" ranged wpns. I use them for things like slayer when I want to pinch pennies. I have scavenging/looting on the crystal bow so I can farm even more stuff.
I'm currently working on getting the bone crusher upgrade. Idgaf how long it takes, my character will grind waiko(whatever its called). I'm so tired of picking up those bones lol
15 year vet here, and the amount of mistakes that ive done in this game due to lack of knowledge is insurmountable. i did smoking kills after 99 slayer. im 113 invention without using invention machines. i got 120 summoning without using the 300+ onyx spirit gems that i had cause i had no idea what to do.. i spent 10 years in f2p collecting eggs and cowhides to sell, then i discovered rune smelting (pre-rework) and high alching rune2hs. i sepnt a year going from 200k gp to 1bil+ just clicking. i didnt invest in a bond, and i trained mage from 70 to 103 or something like that. my point is: ive made so many mistakes due to the lack of a main guides channel that covers everything. can you make a video that covers ALLLL the basics of rs3, like musthaves, when to buy things, pros and cons of things, the triangle combat, etc... im not talking about levelling guides, but one massive series going over every important aspect of runescape that i assure you many people overlook.
Pretty sure the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy would be shorter than the vid you are asking for xD This game has 20 years worth of content, some items are locked behind quests, some behind activities, and a lot of em are not worth grinding for a short-term goal. Depending on what your goal is- it's better to do specific research on rs wiki for your goals imho
Depends on your level. After being high level, most bosses drop tons of those. You can do 1 hour of bossing every day and gather like at least 200, then you can do random slayer etc that will also get you a lot. They just stack so quickly after a point, currently at 200m summ xp and I have 25k blues and have made 10k binding contracts.
Thanks.I just started playing again this was a nice refresh video. Maybe a good idea to make a "Returning players fresh video"? There are so much things to learn Like how do you pick that dragon bones without touching it?
we should be able to do something else with charms, after getting to summoning 99 are worthless, only invention spiritual parts but i feel they need another use.
It's not talked about at all, because it's extremely niche and almost useless to 99.99% of the playerbase. There is literally no boss in the game that requires you to use it, unless, again, some serious niche situations like hm vorkath speed kills or something where you cannot use defensive to save time.
I love that content like wood boxes are completely irrelevant to me even though it pretty cool, I just finished woodcutting and the gp isn’t good enough to ever go back
Does that mean it isn't okay to make videos with basic knowledge, for newer / less experienced players? If you have learned a ton, you have very likely learned stuff from videos where other people have commented this exact same thing! The longer you play the game, the less likely you are to learn stuff from my content :) I make videos for beginners and returning players too, not every video is aimed at every player.
