AMAZING RESULTS! We're an apparel manufacturer creating samples for stores like Forever21 and Maurices with our printers. We had an urgent meeting in 5 days and needed samples, but our white ink wasn't working, cyan was a mess, and we had suction errors. After trying 5 heavy cleaning cycles, tube cleaning, and contacting the DTG seller with no success, we reached out to Epson support, who quoted a flat fee of $2,479 for repairs, primarily nozzle replacement. As a last-resort attempt, I tried something I didn't think would work, but IT DID! Our printer now operates like new, saving us $3,000. Thank you!
OMG.....IT WORKED!!!!! My CMYK were perfect but given the cost of White ink I did not use the white ink for a couple of months and they were blocked even after I had replaced it with 2 brand new cartridges! As my F2100 was 1.5 years old, so out of warranty. I was quoted for a brand new printhead replacement plus travel time & labour at just under GBP£2,000 (USD$2,500). I built the contraption and left the printhead to soak for 4 hours, followed by a heavy head cleaning and 90% of the White came out on a nozzle check 2 more medium & 1 light and now have 99%!!! We do not get Windex on the UK but I had a DTG flushing solution which I ordered from the USA and it worked really well including a few cleaning swabs total cost $20. THANK YOU (from the UK) for putting this video up!!!
I can't thank you enough for this video! You just saved my business and some peoples jobs. It worked perfectly! I left the fluid for 12h, then made like 6 or 7 cleaning loops. Before the process, WH3 and WH4 wasnt printing nothing at all, but now my printer is back! Thank you soooooooooooo much!

I tried this method with my Epson DX5 F187000 printhead. Unclogged some individual nozzles, but miracle didn't happen. To be fair, I've bought refurbished printhead, it worked great until last month, when it stopped show some white nozzle check. Maybe I've made something wrong, but I mixed ~700 ml of Mr. Muscle (alternative to your Window cleaner), ~180 ml distilled water and ~45 ml of alcohol. Then left printhead for about 11 hours, with almost no result. After this l've put the printhead back into your cleaning solution and in addition flushed all nozzles. Only after this inks started draining like you show in the video. This time I waited >12 hours, as the result, pretty much the same nozzle check text as before. If anybody has any hints on this, please let me know! Anyway thank you very much for your video.
this helped me out SO MUCH!! I didnt even let it soak for 12hrs i did about an hour soak bc i didnt have time, i wasnt getting ANY ink from any nozzle and your solution helped so much, it could probably have sat longer, but i did a couple of heavy head cleanings after the hour soak and i have all my nozzles back! thank you so much

Excellent video..... Hello, I'm really thinking hard about buying the F2100, can you give me a little advise or words of wisdom. also....can you use the method you used in this video as preventative maintenance? Thanks for the video?
just make sure you do a nozzle check, light cleaning, always shake white ink, print and after do another light cleaning. my people skipped alot of cleaning. after 6000 prints it got clogged. But this guys simple cleaning saved us a ton of money.
when you do the cleaning what about the parts next to the head how do you clean them... We did this cleaning 3 days ago and today it looks bad again. It seems there is ink on the parts next to the left side of the print head. How do you clean that off.
How did you fix it not recognizing the ink level? This is my problem as well as doing what this video is saying… same situation, only I moved, machine sat for awhile. White is the only one I’m having issues with so hoping this works. Then I have that level issue… they are almost new cartridges showing 20% maybe. Thank you!
Hi! My f2000 no longer recognizes ink levels on the blue and yellow channels. He says they are practically exhausted but the ink in the cartridges is about half ... can you help me? 😔😔
you need to unclog the 2 tiny holes on the inside of the headcap , put a liitle but of solution to soak overnight inside so it can clear a bit more as well , also you can keep using the cartridge until it runs out even if its showing a lower level than it actually is , if for some reason it tells you to replace it with still alot left , take the cart out , put an older empty one and then put it back and it should let you squeeze out the rest , let me know if you need anymore help i can give you my email !

@Clixstorm I keep losing my White 12-34 channels, after I do a printhead cleaning, I can do maybe 3 shirts before I start losing my white again. Whats causing that? Its a F2000
Sounds like a suction issue. The white can't keep up with the demand being called for and gets behind like a skinny straw trying to suck up a milkshake. If that makes sense. Check your suction line cleaning area. That's the box it sits in when not being used. Ink can build up and weaken the wipe it does.

What does error code 14D5 mean?
when you do the cleaning what about the parts next to the head how do you clean them... We did this cleaning 3 days ago and today it looks bad again. It seems there is ink on the parts next to the left side of the print head. How do you clean that off.
DO you leave the printer switch on on IDLE for 12 hours?
Is there a reason to do this with the printer on?.I left mine doing this today but didnt start the printer
@@yousefsaleh3758 yes that is the problem it says I need to replace the ink cause it’s “empty” but it’s at least 80% full
Has anyone tried this as preventative maintenance? Maybe once a month before it clogs?
did anyone answer your question b/c I want to buy one, does this maintenance prevent clogging? What are your thoughts?
@@bigdap100 My thoughts are...I sold my printer and use Awkward Styles to print for me. I order as I need them. I know exactly what my cost and profit are, I'm about $15,000 ahead and I don't have to worry about maintenance or paying $2500 for a print head. I and my customers receive the printed shirt in 5 days including shipping. Guaranteed profit with no headaches or inverstment.
Hi I absolutely need help my DTG printer no longer prints according to serivce the print head is replaced but the materials you use in this video where to get the i live in Austria
I'm doing this tonight. I have 3 heads that are clogged.
Can I unlock the printhead from the docking station without Ink cartridges installed in the printer? If not can I unlock the print head with empty ink cartdridges? I don't have full or partially full ink cartridges and I also don't want to spend $1300 to gamble on this soaking process working in the first place. Please advise.
Nice thanks, saved for future problem if that happens lol
just got a f2000 and the owner printed a shirt and everything in front of me, its been sitting for 1wk as i was waiting on ink to arrive. just turned it on, had me do tube cleaning and it was easy to set up design and print, it looks like its printing but its not printing nothing on to the short. at 1st thought it was doing white layer 1st than the color but not said it was done. i raised the lever and it tells me there's an obstruction so need to lower. any idea what it can be???
Hi, the solution hasn’t turned cloudy. Do I need to do it again?
素晴らしい👍🏻
Thank you for the video. I'm going to try this method. But I have a problem. I'm from Russia and there are no Windex in here. Could anybode suggest what can I use instead of Windex? Or maybe anybody know composition of Windex that I can find analog here. Thanks!
It's glass cleaner that smells like chemicals. Here is what's in it.
2-Hexoxyethanol - a surfactant cleaning agent
Isopropanolamine - a solvent cleaning agent
Ammonium hydroxide - better known as ammonia-D
Lauryl dimethyl amine oxide - a surfactant wetting agent
Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate - also a surfactant wetting agent
@@clixstormdiy4352 Thanks for the information and for saving another $2500. This method worked good for me. I used Mr.Muscle for glass instead of Windex.
Good morning,
thank you for this incredible thing.... quick question, if I only have 99% isopropyl alcohol, can I only put 2.5% in the recipe? and is demineralized water made instead of distilled water?
thank you very much for your great advice... :)
Yes, that's fine. Just dilute according and add water to offset.
thank you, I will do the treatment on Wednesday and I will give you some news... thank you very much
thank you so much

After second time still no white :( I'm trying now third charm , keep me fingers crossed . I will try to keep longer then 12 hours
Had this problem with mine just this morning. Sat about a month! Currently 2 hours in on this method. How long did it take to start getting ink into container?
Please let me know how it goes
Will this work for ricoh Ri1000??
Great job!!!!!
does this work on pigment based inks?
So I did it the 1st time I feel like I didn’t let it sit for long I did it again one of my white printed out , I still need three more on the nozzle check to print . Any suggestions ? Should I do the process again ?
Do 4-5 nozzle cleanings after each cleaning to get a good idea of where it's at. That's what I did.
So i did this today. All my ink came back that wasnt printing… but its very fuzzy looking now. I can’t get the test or full prints to come out sharp. They maybe are wet/fuzzy looking?? What do i do?
Keep doing head cleaning. Still has solution in the head. Sometimes 5 medium cleanings
anyone has the amounts of each liquid is mixed? same amount of each or what? worked once. Happened again and Cant get full whites. maybe im submurging too much of the head.
Hello! I have WH3 WH4 does not print at all. What need to do?. already slelala this procedure all the same does not print.

Hay man, i had to change my printer head but i have the old one, can i inmerse the entire head printer to clean it? Thanks for the video.
Yes! Just avoid soaking electric components.
@@clixstormdiy4352 oh no, i think there´s no electrical components on the head printer, 2500 Euros for a piece of plastic man. I´ll try to clean it and tell you about. Thanks!

I wasn’t gonna spend the 2k for replacing the head thanks to the video will see what happens in 12 hours for now
Please update :)
@@owlfactory-cs update so before I did it I was showing little bit of white ink left in the cartridge so yesterday after soaking the head for about 22 hours I went ahead and did a heavy cleaning and then it showed that I was low in white ink so then I did I light cleaning but I wasn’t able to get any white on my platen I got all other color but no white. I’m assuming it’s unclogged since it’s now showing low ink in the screen I place an order of inks so will see what happens when I receive them also did a cap cleaning

It's the ammonia in original Windex that does the cleaning .Probably available from a local chemical supplier (but use very conservatively)...
Can I do this with the machine off. I know you said it would beep but can I just do it with it off
Absolutely
What’s the clear adhesive tape for ?

Hi I tried this method. All my nozzles are blocked, please help me out here.
How many heavy cleanings after did you do?
I tried taking my head out and purging it with a syringe but no luck. SoIm soaking mine right now. My Cyan is half clogged and looks like crap on a shirt. Going to soak now for 24 hours to see what happens
My Wh3 and wh4 were not working.. After following this, nothing works at all.Any help is appreciated
You need to do several cleanings. The ink is cleaned out of the head as intended.
@@clixstormdiy4352 I did about 3-4 heavy cleanings.. nothing from any of the nozzle. before following this procedure, i had all working except wh3 wh4.. now nothing.. how many should i do more

Nice 💯💪🏾
Ok I am now on day 5 of trying. I have made progress but my white channel 3 still no signs of ink coming thru but the others have. Should I keep trying or take the L? Any other recommendations?
Hi what did you try others way to unclogged the head please need advice thanks
Did you do a nozzle check before doing this process? If so what did it look like?
mine had tons of spaces, on all colors. no white. I did this and it WORKS!
I am debating whether to try this or not with my f2000. I have nothing coming out of all my whites. Colours are perfect though.
A week ago I had white on 3and 4 with no 1 and 2. But now none of them are working.
Have you tried yet? I'm doing it tomorrow, slightly concerned as my colours are perfect
@@jondrive8801 did it work ?
@@staytunedrob No, I let it soak for 12 agonizing hours....didn't make a difference to the nozzle check. But... I'll tell you what did work. I put the cleaning carts in (took out the white. Ran 5 heavy cleaning via the cleaning carts. CHanged back to the white..... ANd had a FULL PERFECT nozzle check :))))))))) Good luck with yours
@@jondrive8801 Hello, how do you change the white cartridges for the cleaning ones and that the printer does not give you a cartridge error?
@@nizestore427 it's in the menu, I'm bit at my printer so can't remember exactly. Something like, maintainance - swap cleanings carts
Can I turn the power off while I do this process?
Absolutely
Unplug it so it leaves it where it's at.
Oh and the answer is Nirvana!
I've done two rounds of this. I went from having no ink out of any of the nozzles to only the magenta not working. I am now soaking for a third time. All other print heads are now printing perfectly. Anyone have any advice on what else to do if I just have one color not printing?
Have you pulled your magenta cartridge out and made sure the ink is coming out of it.
I keep the printer ON for 12 hours? or can i just unplug it
You can unplug. Just put it in service mode with the platen slid back first to access the head

Trying on mine but using a respected online recipe for cleaning fluid which I'll share. Unknown period of sitting unused so not expecting a miracle, but wish me well! P.S. using the platen to raise a very shallow container + small cartridge underneath this to correct level (found it much easier & stable)!
1 % concentrated ammonia
3 % propylene glycol
20 % isopropyl alcohol
distilled water up to 100 %
To prepare 1 litre of the cleaning fluid:
In a one litre bottle put 10 ml of concentrated ammonia, 30 ml of propylene glycol, 200 ml of isopropyl alcohol, and add distilled/demineralized water to a total volume of one litre.
This video is like pulling teeth. You could have made it more straight forward. So much talking and bs but zero clarity. It's like you just want to hear your voice.
Hey, here is an idea, make your own video. You're welcome. It's easy to follow, you just cant follow directions and likely why you're here seeking a solution in the first place. I owe you jack shit.
