For those coming here for help to install a winch on your x3 (this was for some reason a recommended video). Do NOT use a roller fairlead with synthetic rope, and please do not mount a winch control button on a flat horizontal surface in between seats. Also, roof lights mounted below the roof is ridiculous, especially if you want to see at night.
Hahahaha roof light are ridiculous if you want to light up the entire cab or completely not see with a windshield. That is what I don’t like. I hardly ever use my lightbar But upper lights can extremely cut down on dust. Most of the time I am completely by myself on Wisconsin trails or leading the pack. So I like lower lights much better. I have recently put an amber film over my light bar and that really helped. Yes a roller fairlead can cause chafing and abrasion on a synthetic rope but a new fairlead was 50.00 and I only use it to plow snow and one other time when I was stuck. After 2 years the rope is still fine. People that use their winch all the time yes I would recommend a new Fairlead. Now the control button I totally agree with. it had already been moved in the first week I had it on. You can hit it with your arm accidentally and if you’re not running the windshield all kinds of dirt and Little Rocks will get stuck underneath the switch I don’t recommend putting any switch in that area. Hell I don’t recommend that shit bumper after having it. The same brand rear bumper my wife hit a tree at like 3 miles an hour and it was completely fucking ruined. They are very thin and cheap. I have since purchased a DMX performance bumper. Live and learn and thank you for the comment!!!,
Did you get the wiring diagram off of the brp instructions website? Im trying to put one on mine but for some reason it says the wire harness part number isnt a good one?
SXS Recon thanks most people don’t like videos that long. People just want to see it on the car and that’s it. I used the wiring diagram that come with the warn winch but all winch diagrams are about the same. You can goggle UTV winch wiring diagram. BRPs instructions on the internet suck and that’s if u can find them.
@@sxsmarine4075 it's easy to find the instructions, but to make sense of them is a whole nother issue. www.instructions.brp.com and then type in the 751xxxxxx number and wah-lah. Hell, I read the instructions for the poly roof and I was confused as hell. The way the diagram looked, 3 of the 4 washers went under the roof in the cage when in fact they all just stack on the top of the roof. And I thought Ikea was bad...

Machiavelli_ G by definition the hole front end of the x3 is already double sheared. A skateboard wheel is single Shear and a Bicycle wheel is double shear because it has Bracing on both sides.
Okay beacuse on that bulk head it seems as the radiator gets boltted onto it on each end wasnt sure if a new bumper comes with those seprate holes for it as well
Hey brotha hows it going I have a question for you I have th3 maverick x3 turbo max and I also bought this same pre-runner bumper ..... oookay so to install the top bolts on the top arms it says to remove the bolts completely then put a reinforcement plate on the back but on my 22 the passenger bolt hits the black plastic housing of that bolt so I bolt it up like it was stock and didn't use that backing plate did u do the same or did u remove that bolt and if u did how did u do it....??
Boy it kind of sounds like on the 22 they must’ve reinforced the front end on mine you simply took off the old bumper put on the new bumper and the four bolts went right into the frame. Sorry I can’t help more but it has been quite a long time since I put that bumper on it has held up pretty good although now I would probably go with something aftermarket that was alittle better. I also bought the rear bumper from Can-Am and The wife backed into a tree at like 2 miles an hour and bent it all to shit. I ended up going with DMX performance and it is much better quality.

josaiahjan1 hmmmm I never noticed that. The bumper has been on there 2500 miles and been used a lot. So I’ll have to look in to that. It’s been two year so can’t remember.

Give me a WARN winch any day. I just spent $40K Aussie dollars on a 2021 Can Am X3 Maverick XRC Turbo RR, it comes standard with a non repairable throw away Chinese no name winch.
@@sxsmarine4075 Yes, I would have thought for the money I paid I'd get a Chinese assembled WARN winch on it. Must have been a Friday or Monday car, the build quality is a bit off, washers & bolts missing on one side of the fascia panels, Jose must have had a big session on the bongs the night before.
So after watching your video it appears that the only thing holding the winch plus the bumper on the front of your X3 are the four nuts on your a arms , I sure hope you do not do no side pulls , and if those four nuts are the only thing holding that whole bumper and winch on , I would have a hard time believing it would pull itself out of a stuck situation, without ripping the whole front bumper and winch. I am sorry but that's just my opinion. Good luck

how did you install the stifner plate???
So do you have to replace the rivets? Happen to know what size drill bit you used to drill out?
There is no riveting to do on install

No radiator is not on bumper it’s the same place it is stock before putting bumper on
Okay cause i bent that blck thing you took off after u took off the front plastics not sure if i have to replace it in order to install a bumper
@@everrivero8467 no your good the black part you Bent is the bulkhead. Your new bumper will replace that.

Robert Goodwin we will see what happens. If it rips off you’ll be the first to know. I think the rope will break before it ripped the bumper off
