You’ve already proven yourself to be a man of integrity, but you really impressed me when you said it was okay that the Hot Wheels you were selling for $2 might possibly be resold for $15 or $20. May that generosity of spirit come back to you a hundred fold!❤️
even at $2.00 he will make a good profit I'm sure love that he isn't greedy as I've seen others I've seen with second hand stores buying in bulk and charging as much as they can for each item
I enjoy all these shows but to me, the BEST of the best is sitting back watching the auctions. I love seeing an item and what he says he'd like it to sell for and then see what it actually goes for. Sometimes his kids guess or just watch with him. "Remember kids, this stuff better sell or your allowance is going to take a beating!". Ahhh family moments to cherish forever.
My, your life, is so much fun, everyday you get to play with toys and cool stuff! I appreciate your channel. I broke my back and have to just lay here flat everyday for the last five weeks. You are helping me stay light hearted in the most difficult situation. I think Stevens draws is great and I love your dad jokes and your voice imitations. I would like to see your family do a video together of the song "happy". This song really embodies your whole family. Happy trail's to you thanks again.
When I was really sick and bed ridden at the end of September, I binge watched this channel and it made me feel better. Kept my mind off the fact I was stuck in bed. It drove me nuts. I was stuck in bed for 5 week's total. Hope you feel better soon! Back pain is no fun.
Congrats on your channel. I'm happy that you are a successful Canadian who has it all. A good business, a great family, and you are doing what you love!
Alex-thanks for sharing your days with us. It's fun to watch the in-store days and unboxing vids. What makes it so interesting is how much to seem to enjoy everything you are doing!
When you build the new addition to your store, you should add a bar and barstools for all your regulars that just want to hang out with you... and maybe serve milkshakes.🥛🥛🥛🥛🥛
I bet you could sort, unpack and shelve your new finds A lot faster with two hands. Thank you for taking the time to unpack with one hand so we could record this for us to enjoy.
I think my favorite parts of your store are the guitars and the paintings on the wall. And I love how you decorate the store. The penny counter, the boat light above the counter. It's such a welcoming place. You are trying to make room for the new stuff. Well I just spent the day boxing up a bunch of stuff out of my kitchen because I've run out of space. Last year my daughter got married and I had searched through all the Goodwills and other second hand stores for nice glass dishes for the wedding. I now need to give them back to the Goodwill! About five boxes worth of things. I'm not done, but I'm making progress.
Good to see you clearing things out, Alex! My grandmother had an antiques shop--but she was also a hoarder (a term which was not around back then) and certainly had thousands of times more pieces than customers. At some point, the whole house was piled to the rafters with antiques, even the bathtub! (As a child, I wondered how they managed to keep clean.) My grandfather eventually build a big extension onto the house, which was supposed to be for living space. But it too soon filled up.... So good for you for trying to keep things under control!
Thanks for the "in depth" tour today Alex. You have some very interesting item in your store! I am adding Curiosity Inc to my bucket list of places to visit!
$2 a pack of hotwheels is a steal! The antique store here has a few, but they are $5 EA everything else is just furniture....I wish there was a store like yours nearby!
@Joan Greenwood, I second what @Toni said. You can often chat a bit with Zinovia & Hans now too on Mondays. Josh's brother Jakota has "Madnezz Mondayz" on his channel, which is Madnezz Channel. Its a live feed, and lots of the Edmonton followers are there!
That first of the Microphones you pulled out is a D104. It is a power microphone. I still have mine from along time ago . It’s for my CB back in the day .🎤. Paid 40 bucks for it used ,back in the late 70’S
I have the same problem you showcase here, I buy tons of vintage toys and have more than enough to stock my inventory for years. Buying is the most fun part though. Finding pieces of my childhood and stuff I never knew existed. The way I see it is I can't buy vintage items from a distributor, I have to grab it when I find it to keep the shelves stocked. Keep up the vids, greats stuff.
05:36 Vintage Astatic D-104 Golden Eagle CB Radio Microphone. I remember when the first TV station came on in Cincinnati, OH. we had a 7" Crosley TV with an 11" magnifying glass in front of it. Al the neighbors used to come over and watch the Friday night fights, there were only a few shows on air at the time. You among other things sell memories, thanks Alex.
I noticed that you have a Johnny seven OMA toy gun...had that as a child...wish I could afford one noiw...great memories when I was 5 yrs old...really enjoy your videos...keep it up!
We had a used book store in town that was so filled you had to move a stack of books to go down any of the aisles- and 2 or 3 to get to the back room. She had some great things, and I know we missed a lot. We called her a storeder.
At a record store I used to frequent, they put the new arrivals from $3-12 in about three bins. But the owner would also salt the bins with some more valuable records priced at $8 or $10. This guaranteed that customers would brag about their finds to their buddies, and numerous customers would come in and look at every single record in the bins. Naturally, they bought a lot of the regular stock. So Alex is wise blow the cars out at $2, he will sell lots of them this way
Hi Alex, I really enjoyed looking around your shop. I happened to catch a glimpse of a dollhouse. I love dollhouses, I have mine that is about 45 yrs old. Could you maybe show a few more lady related items. Those lamps are fantastic! Great Scooby-Do voices. voices.
Love uranium glass, all colors. Sent you an email. Thrilled you sold some of the cars. Keep these videos coming. I am particularly fond of your trash to treasure rebuilds, so to speak. Whether a house or a car, whatever your latest "craze", they are great fun.
My Mom worked in a hospital in Hythe AB as a teenager. She shared how cleaning a spittoon made her gag until a Nun came and showed her what to do...carry it to the big sink, sit under the tap, turn on the cold water and then walk away. Return in half an hour.
Hi Alex,,, I just had a brilliant idea! Instead of you taking all of these items to an auction and paying a percentage to them for selling it... Have you ever considered creating your own auction house? That way you would be able to go out and purchase items (which you love to do) and then dispose of them for profit at an accelerated rate. Think about it! I really love your channel and watch all of your videos. Last night I binge-watched about six hours worth! YIKES! 💞💞👍😎👍💞💞
The new edituon will be great!! you can drive to the rear & unload your treasures! I hope I get to visit your store in the summer! I hear I need a Passport to travel to CANADA from the STATES!!
Everytime I see that anatomical model I have flashbacks the greatest job ever...when I taught at a now defunct private boarding school. My classroom had one of those models among other funky things. Great memories!
11:15 I’m like ooomph! As an American we wouldn’t store our flag in a knot. But, when my Canadian cousins came for a visit they asked why our flag was displayed everywhere. And I was so confused by the question when she told me they don’t normally fly their flag.
Once again you put a big smile on my face, great impression, could the old garage out back be converted inside as a holding center,I am sure Hans could put up 2x4 shelving in there and a work bench? Just a thought..🤔
Thanks for stopping to look at the guitars! I was hoping you could Email the price of that Hagstrom thinline (top row second from left) and also the price of what looks like an old Stella in the (top row far right). Thanks, Alex..
Good morning from Sydney Australia, great to wake to one of your video's. Loved the take us to work day 😊🥰 I want to come over just to visit the store lol. Love it. 🕊💜💙💚🇦🇺
I had the same lights and the white pot is a spittoon. I've had them before over the 60 years I've been in the antique business. More rare than the brass ones since they broke easily.
Hey Alex, I recently wrote that I had a Queens Highway Sign in your comments field. That should have read "Kings Highway" It has a crown on the top of the sign. I am catching up on your videos because I lost my mom this week. Keep doing the good Job. Craig.
There was a go devil folding motorcycle (1964/67) on American eBay site Brewster NY with a BIN price of $1600 think the bidding it at just over $600 just now , thanks for upload x
I was watching explorer in my country. The uk and the mansions that are abandoned. Alex you would have a field day some of them are not even secure the antiques were amazing
***The Hot Wheels cars most likely will be gone soon but from adults buying lots at a time. Then I see the guy buying a box of them...wish I lived closer. But on another topic I would love to hear you play the Geetar singing a Dwight Yoakam tune. Fast As You is my favorite song of his. Like always love this in store video.
Oh and there's a bunch of cool fold up motorbikes from the 80's/90's in Japan, some came as an accessory to cars you buy! i think it's a cool Idea, they should implement little electric ones in newer cars these days :P
Love all your ventures and all the building/rebuilding you’ve done! But have you ever wished you would have bought a larger building? The great finds seem to be unending😎
You’ve already proven yourself to be a man of integrity, but you really impressed me when you said it was okay that the Hot Wheels you were selling for $2 might possibly be resold for $15 or $20. May that generosity of spirit come back to you a hundred fold!❤️

I really like these "day in the shop" kind of videos!

Me three!😄
Me four 😁🤣
Awe me six?

@2:41 you know you''re an inveterate antiquer when you say something like "Mildly toxic - but really neat!"

Wish you a full recovery! Try not to laugh too hard at his dad jokes so you won't jostle your poor back.
I would buy those lamps in a heartbeat. They look absolutely fantastic!
So sad that churches are being dismantled. :(
When you build the new addition to your store, you should add a bar and barstools for all your regulars that just want to hang out with you... and maybe serve milkshakes.🥛🥛🥛🥛🥛
That was a pretty good impressions of Scooby and Shaggy!
Billy West and Frank Welker are proud of you.
Glad to see you are busy in your new/old store. It is a good thing.
I bet you could sort, unpack and shelve your new finds A lot faster with two hands. Thank you for taking the time to unpack with one hand so we could record this for us to enjoy.
I love watching your new inventory come into the store always interesting!!!
Very enjoyable videos!! As a die cast collector, I´d love to have a peek at the counter display at 2:15 - the one with the blimp on top.
That is a lot of hotwheels! Those bins are gigantic! That fact that they're all full is amazing! WOW!
Yeah, I'm always wondering where you are putting it all when the store seems full already!
Great Shaggy impression, had me laughing at Monster Jam. 😂
I loved that too! : ) Never apologise for humour.
Wow! Those art deco lamps are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!! I love them!
I think my favorite parts of your store are the guitars and the paintings on the wall. And I love how you decorate the store. The penny counter, the boat light above the counter. You are a genius at adding inventory without making anything look cluttered.

Cool TV. I remember the first TV my father bought. It had a metal cabinet, and when you touched it you got a shock. Wonder we survived the 50s.
I love these segments that you do, in-store. You get such unique items. Thank you so much for filming your shop.
You have a really cool shop, love the boats and love the Rush poster beneath the guitars!!! Very cool!!!
This day in the shop series is to dang cool keep it up!!!

Lights are awesome.
My grandpa has a go devil fold up mini bike!! He is missing a couple of parts and the bag but it’s a very rare unique bike. Really cool to see that!
Congrats on 300K subs! Store looks awesome. I could spend hours in there.
Wondering if we could have a visit with Hans. I expect a few others are wondering how he is doing. We miss him.
Hans and Zinovia are usually at Monday Madnezz. Stop in there Monday night 8:00 central time. live chat.

Love those Art Deco lamps!
That TV is very like the first one my family got, in 1963!

Had one of those TVs growing up, it lasted through the late '60s. It was on a matching table with a swivel top, with a shelf underneath.
Great post, love watching your channel. Take care.

the minni bick was originally built for the airforce in the 40s for the parchute fighters as a compact bike in europe
Wait....did Bob get to see the Ginger Ale bottle? I guess I have to just wait and see on his channel. Very cool motorbike and the lamps!!! God bless!
Once again you put a big smile on my face, great impression, could the old garage out back be converted inside as a holding center,I am sure Hans could put up 2x4 shelving in there and a work bench? Just a thought..🤔
It's kinda full now as it is, he's got two vehicles in there! The little green Austin truck thingy, and something else I forget....
karen lewis Thanks l didn’t know that!😉
Love the lamps!!
Loved this video to see what you’ve sold......😍
It's great when he posts lots of vids
The brown spittoon would make a great bubble water feature in a pond. It even has a hole in the side as an inlet for the water.
Thanks for stopping to look at the guitars! I was hoping you could Email the price of that Hagstrom thinline (top row second from left) and also the price of what looks like an old Stella in the (top row far right). Thanks, Alex..
The lamps are amazing! Also, I would have hated to have the job of emptying the spittoon at the pub.
Love the lighting idea for the addition
Good morning from Sydney Australia, great to wake to one of your video's.
Loved the take us to work day 😊🥰

That motorcycle was meant for an RV....to putt around the campgrounds
Another neat video I luv Scooby! 💜👍
Loved the Scooby and Shaggy impressions...with a hint of Canadian accent.😉 I'm a year older than you, so I grew up watching that.
Great episodes keep em coming!
Love all your ventures and all the building/rebuilding you’ve done! But have you ever wished you would have bought a larger building? The great finds seem to be unending😎
Your Shaggy Rogers is very impressive Alex👍
