These things have nothing to do with opinions or "freedom of speech", they just show antisociality, rudeness, putting themselves over others, discrimination, it's simply hate speech. I refuse to support these people as people and as artists. Even if I am a supporter of a band for 20 years... if one current member starts becoming whateverphobic or racist or youknowwhat, this is a reason for me to get rid of their albums effective immediately. No support for this kind of artists from me. Good bye, once-so-good albums. Sometimes it takes a while to realize. I needed to become 30 yo to cut ties with my racist and homophobic parental family and to be fully aware of what kind of people they are. . That was back in 2005. So I am pretty sure that there already was tension and this really was the last straw to break. TAIM obviously wanted to make their album without CJ professionally, without having someone like him in the band - so they worked on it in the background and then presented CJ with a fait accompli. TAIM put art in front of personal issues... what else should they have done? Keep him in the band as if nothing happened?

Well guess the rest of the band showed their true colours for kicking him out simply because they can't handle an a opposing point of view. They also replaced him at the very last minute before the album dropped because they were afraid the album wasn't going to sell as well if people know that he's still on it. It's pathetic, they've done way more harm to their reputation for kicking him out than what they ever would have done for keeping him in the band. A lot of their fans have turned on them now and that's their own fault, not CJ's. CJ was in the band for YEARS! He was like a brother to them and for them to just blatantly throw him under the bus like this is just disgraceful, they'll come to regret it.
Godlike was their first release on their own record label, which is heavily run by Andy. So you're right, this was a decision by the record label and a pure business move that is backfiring for sure

Half of me thinks it's bullshit though, at least the part about re recording the vocals, cause I've listened to the album and ive listened to the singles released months ago and I can't tell a difference, so I dunno, either way some fucking stupid shit is going on and they've lost a fan here

A good amount of people thought lorna shore was done too after CJ mcCreery left and they're fine, im sure TAIM will be too. At worst they'll fall into the same trap that Suicide Silence fell into and i still enjoy their music so to each their own. Really sucks though i feel like CJ really added that edge to TAIM and his vocals were insane, so hopefully he gets into another band and makes great music again. I've always found it important to separate the art from the artist because lets be honest if you knew everything about someone you really liked, you really wouldnt like them anymore.

What he said was maybe a bit too graphic but well it is his opinion and I like that he stated his opinion on the matter. The kid in that video that CJ commented on couldn’t have been anything older than the age of 2, clearly had no basic reading or comprehension skills yet for anything since he (or she idk) is still a toddler. The mom was just saying random stuff while the baby mumbled out noises that sounded like the word “yes”. She could’ve said literally anything to the baby and it still would’ve sounded like the baby said “yes”. It’s clear that the mom was just making the video for clout because a 2 year old is not even close to having any sort of comprehension skills to understand what it means to be trans. I don’t think CJ was being transphobic at all. It seemed more like he was just calling out the stupidity of the mother, which I think he had every right to do. I don’t agree with him saying she should be burned alive, but to make him out to be a transphobe because of that is just completely twisted. Sometimes it takes a while to realize. I needed to become 30 yo to cut ties with my racist and homophobic parental family and to be fully aware of what kind of people they are. . That was back in 2005.

TAIM obviously wanted to make their album without CJ professionally, without having someone like him in the band - so they worked on it in the background and then presented CJ with a fait accompli.

Well guess the rest of the band showed their true colours for kicking him out simply because they can't handle an a opposing point of view. They also replaced him at the very last minute before the album dropped because they were afraid the album wasn't going to sell as well if people know that he's still on it. It's pathetic, they've done way more harm to their reputation for kicking him out than what they ever would have done for keeping him in the band. A lot of their fans have turned on them now and that's their own fault, not CJ's. CJ was in the band for YEARS! He was like a brother to them and for them to just blatantly throw him under the bus like this is just disgraceful, they'll come to regret it.
Godlike was their first release on their own record label, which is heavily run by Andy. So you're right, this was a decision by the record label and a pure business move that is backfiring for sure

A good amount of people thought lorna shore was done too after CJ mcCreery left and they're fine, im sure TAIM will be too. At worst they'll fall into the same trap that Suicide Silence fell into and i still enjoy their music so to each their own. Really sucks though i feel like CJ really added that edge to TAIM and his vocals were insane, so hopefully he gets into another band and makes great music again. I've always found it important to separate the art from the artist because lets be honest if you knew everything about someone you really liked, you really wouldnt like them anymore.

The mom was just saying random stuff while the baby mumbled out noises that sounded like the word “yes”. She could’ve said literally anything to the baby and it still would’ve sounded like the baby said “yes”. It’s clear that the mom was just making the video for clout because a 2 year old is not even close to having any sort of comprehension skills to understand what it means to be trans.
I don’t think CJ was being transphobic at all. It seemed more like he was just calling out the stupidity of the mother, which I think he had every right to do. Also, I'm not sure what else you think people have ever fought over except opinions (e.g. 'This piece of land belongs to me', etc)
