My grandfather had a 1947 Hudson - sold it to my dad in the early 60s. That car had multiple quirks (including the rear "suicide" doors that almost pulled me out of the back seat)! It was the first car we had that had a radio - good times!
Very impressive when I first sat in one in the fifties; very impressive now. The sixes that garnered the stock car honors, though, were a bit stouter than the 212 - they were 308s.
These were sold in India as well in Right Hand Drive and four door version. After the war the car industry in Europe was in bad shape and American companies sold the most cars in India. Before the war Chevrolet and Studebaker brands sold well besides the European makes
Can you imagine how thrilled a family would be to have one of these right after the war!

Was already 5 yrs old when this car made the scene, so was a common sight as a child. Very nice quality cars back in the day.
I remember seeing those on the road when I was young. That grill made me they modeled it after a radio tuner.
Wow what a rare find and with all the documentation. That interior is in incredible shape too. Really cool car for the price, thanks for showing it!
