When I joined the US military, it was as if I had collected all of my belongings and myself and thrown all of it away. I thought I was a badass. Then I walked through this door where, on the other side, everything I needed was promised. By God, I swear it was all provided. The first three years I was a recruit. A moron. An idiot. A person who thought they knew more than the US military did. Then I re-enlisted. Then I was a career. Then I saw what an amazing machine and community the US military is. I stayed for 20 years. I've traveled to so many places in the military I swear I could live anywhere under any situation and not bitch about it. I received so much training I think I could survive in any place in any situation. When anybody says to me, "Thank you for your service," I am thankful to them. But I must also explain to them that the US military has done FAR more for me that I have ever done for it.

Thank You to all of you nice people, who have commented on here, I Love You all, I am a Viet Nam vet, old now age 72, waiting to die, my mind remains a f mess from Nam. Hope everyone out there is safe and be careful be aware of your surroundings when you leave your vehicle, keep your eyes open and be aware, our world has become so dam evil and dangerous .To all my war brothers and sisters I Love You all .
