The modern Henry Sy Library at DLSU is an architectural marvel by itself. The architectural design of the famous Velasco Hall of the engineering department is much to be desired, but the most cost-effective. The Amb. VSU in Baybay, Leyte has it all lush mountains and green forests said to be inhabited by some tarsiers, hydropower, wide green animal pastures, tall coconuts, serene sunsets at the beach, etc. There are more to do from sunbathing and swimming in the beach, hiking in the mountains, exploring the woods and forest and go up mountaineering on Mt. Pangasugan or enjoying at the hydropower pool station or simply watching sparkling Camotes Sea atop from the Administration Building. VSU is deem to be a Resort University where the Mountain meet the Sea.
coconuts aids in landslide if cultivated along mountain slopes because it add weight in the saturated topsoil during heavy rains compared to philippine native trees.
