- In this video, we'll roll back the clock a bit & check out a figure from America's 19th century - this beautiful Native American sharpshooter figure from Master Box Models. This figure makes a great addition to any collection & is a perfect base to practice some techniques painting with a different color palette than we're used to with our WWII-era figures.

Well done. Master Box does a series of woodland Indians from the 1700s that are nicely done as well. I am a plastic modeller but my main interest is figure painting. Going out of your comfort zone is a great way to improve skills.
agreed! I just finished the Tamiya German field kitchen not long ago- was fun to paint rear line support personnel, and being a military cook myself, i took interest in the subject matter! 's nice to get away from vehicles and armor now and them, and pain the little people who run them! :)

I have a large collection of figures, Dragon, tamiya, master box, miniart and icm. In the last year, I started buy these other figure kits by icm and master box. The native American ions or western series from master as well icm, Gurkha, morrocans, etc. I've been researching flesh tones for people other than Caucasian, recently African flesh tones. It's not easy painting flesh tones, even sunburned Caucasian is not easy.
So I really appreciate this video of painting native Americans, one of the few I've seen. Thank you Hank.

Currently I'm building a Tamiya Jagdpanther late variant and I'm wondering if you would have any tips on camouflages or maybe historical accuracies to help improve my build.
Awesome job, love all your not caucasian skin tutorials. Have you tried modulating varnishes to get better specularity on stuff like hair and skin?

wow- absolute fire! Nice subject matter, and soemthing to get you out of the rut so to speak, and spark up your creative juices a little! I see kits like this on Amazon from time to time, an wonder if I should give em a go, just as a change of pace. It's jaust fun to zone out and be creativem relax, and PAINT!
I'll often give the little figures Im working with names, or backgrounds to help be connect a bit better with them and the story I want to tell in the end...

Iam a beginner to airbrushing and iam having trouble with my storage tank on my airbrush my tank will not hold air for more than 5 mins I have checked all joints and conections with soapy water but still losing air some place any suggestions .
