Nikhil Banerjee is immortal. Son of Goddess Sarswati. He obliged Sir Amir khusro who invented this beautiful instrument and gifted this world and real Gandharves like Sir Nikhil Banerjee played it . I am so lucky. My age is so lucky. Rag Yaman is so lucky.
you dont have to die in this life to reborn in India and and learn music. Iit can be hard, or not, to learn, but music is inside every one of living beings. Go for it! :D

After a few minutes since I started listening this rendition I couldn't sense anything I started feeling myself in a deep trance !! This rendition of Yaman is so very beautiful and definetly words aren't enough to describe it.
yes it is swapan on the tabla. This was broadcast on AIR on the sturday National Program of music. He played this for an invited audience as was the practise in those days. I have the same recording
While this is a resplendent Yaman, it is very difficult not to be completely swept away by Vilayat Khan's three part recording for HMV. If Vilayat Khan is scintillating like Viv Richards, Nikhil Banerjee is profound like Sunil Gavaskar. Entirely my views. And I respect yours. :)

You should edit the name and rectify it at the earliest. Please show respect to all artistes with equality. They are legends….hope you understood my point…
