Watching this video brought so many memories from when I used to live in Lima. The Sunday afternoons we would go out after church. The restaurants we ate Comida Criolla and Pollo a la Brasa! And in summer Ceviche Real! The Malecon of Miraflores and Pucusana Beach where we spent 3 months of the year vacationing. My now-married daughter has promised me she will take her husband to Peru and visit the places where I grew up. Soy Peruano y morire Peruano!
Thank you for your video, and recommendation of this place my Peruvian girlfriend and her family have just visited here was a very nice meal with free complimentary salad and bread! Very nice building and surrounding too
Great video. Peru’s national dish might be cebiche however pollo a la brasa or rotisserie chicken is by far the most consumed dish among Peruvians. It all started at La Granja Azul in the 1950s which was the first and still the oldest restaurant that offers basically rotisserie chicken. Nowadays these restaurants called pollerias are can be found all over Peru. In the United States pollerias or restaurants that mainly offer rotisserie chicken started back in the 1990s in working class neighborhoods in cities like New York, Los Angeles and Washington. There were mom and pop restaurants that offered basically rotisserie chicken, French fries and salad at affordable prices. But why did Peruvian chicken is becoming more and more popular here in the US? Like in Peru, it had to be because rotisserie chicken was delicious and affordable but in the US there was something else that started attracting customers and it was the green sauce that Peruvian chicken is served with, also known as aji sauce.
Omg that mayo.looked ceeamy. That salad. The chicken so succulent. Can you take me to peru please lol. ❤❤❤ love your outfit too amigo xx P.s that desert yummmmmmmmmm you had me at Lima, peru :) xxx

Without a doubt it is a very exquisite chicken, they are tender and the potatoes and their salad are very tasty.
In LA GRANJA AZUL, the recipe for POLLO A LA BRASA was created, as well as the ROTARY MACHINE that is unique for its preparation.

I’m Peruvian and I don’t like to eat every Sunday Pollo a la Brasa. I prefer jalea mixta honestly.
La granja azul es en Ate, mamita, no chosica
No es chili like in North América the name is " aji " or Peruvian hot prpper. It is not small chicken it is called young chicken.
