Chicken Health and Wellbeing

This presentation by Dr. Geoffrey Lossie, DVM from Purdue University will discuss how to keep your chicken flock healthy - and how to know when something goes wrong. Most chicken diseases can only be diagnosed by necropsy, but if a chicken is a family pet, this is not a possibility. How can you narrow down the disease possibilities based on flock history and chicken symptoms? Based on general disease-type identification, what can you do to treat the problem? How can you prevent and treat common health problems (egg bound; internal layer; prolapse in males and females; etc.)
