- I know what you're thinking and this is no Arctic Cat M8. It Looks like it, but this snowmobile is one beefed up mountain mod M7. What to build with sled? Soon we'll get into what this mountain sled will become! Or did I get ripped off?

They don’t make’em like they used too!

DUDE im am so pumped for this! abt 2 years ago i picked up a 05 M6 for 1000 bucks too and the only thing it did was run i mean it should have been a parts sled but i mean like even the hood was rattle caned it was green black white and orange😆 but put some money into her and got her going still having issues tho i think its the fuel pump but i picked up a 16 M8 HCR for my main sled now so my plan is to build the M6 into a skipper! everything will be on my channel once my computer stops throwing fits

thanks for making this video!! I bought Two 06 M7s in 2020 and am having trouble learning about them. Both are carbureted, which i guess is rare, one has the big bore kit and Y pipe delete but I'm having trouble getting it to run well. hope to see more content on this machine!!

Twin pipes don’t have a Y pipe.
But man definitely had some good stuff on it for back in the day. Never a fan of the boondocker box myself lol!!

I have an 06 m7 162.09 rear tunnel update.800 big bore and pretty much every popular upgrade and mod from the era.minus reverse.its a fricken animal and fun as hell to rip around on.i have 2 Speedwerx single pipes and a brand new set of slp twins that i want to sell..
I still drive my M1000. Works excellent. Mountains 2,3x year. Does whatever a $20k sled does.

Take head off and measure the bore. Lots of M7/M8 bigbore kits from RK Tek are out there. I have installed a few and they ripped. Work great with a turbo too. Those twin pipes were finicky to tune, ripped when they worked but weather conditions/altitude seemed to affect them. Installed and tuned a few sets of those too but most of the guys went back to singles. Worked on the big bore better.
I was actually thinking this exact thing on the way home: "I wonder if this is a bigbore..?"

Those twins definitely have their own sound.
I just picked one up recently but it is the 1000 version. I bought it for 850 bucks. It needed a brand new clutch so I had to coach for it. I put it on now I am water skipping the machine.
Got fuel management? Them 1000's love to blow up if not
Of the 1000s the cats were definitely the best. For the most part they heald up, but they liked to eat motor mounts. And that was probably the 4 tower clutch too.

@@Yz4Life yes they are ,I have 2 Suzuki engine cats , 700 and 800, both awesome, the 7 has over 10k kms, all original engine

Literally has an RK Tek sticker on the hood lol. Probably one of their heads. May even have extra displacement too!
Yeah this actually might be an 800, not a 700. I've yet to do any measurements!

If you need some parts for that m7 I got a few. I have drivers, track, skid, gas tank and I even got an ecm if you need
Also have full tunnel and bulkhead with snow eliminator cut out and braces. Big 2 wheel kit for skid as well

Yeah those M1000s would actually rattle themselves apart. This one is an M7 though. Though, I'm wondering if it's been big bored. Not sure yet 🤷♀️
@@syxxes ohhh , I got a 2004 f7, but I 153 " and 2 ", fuel pressure regulator, has been such a good sled, over 10k kms now, I ride it more than th 2012 I got
@@syxxes I had to cut 3/4 " of track off each side of the track to shove it in that tunnel, smaller extrovert drivers and it's good to go

What ecu is it a circle or square? I may have one here from a 08
So far I'm good on the ECU. But I will keep you in mind if things change 👌

I may still have majority of a turbo kit piping etc i will look for diamond drive may have that aswell.
nice m series! I've had 5 of them over the years and im still riding a m1000, even the new 850s don't have close to the same torque.
