Top notch review, as always! I'm with you, the fake specs are annoying, and I don't think it's ever going to change. The best we can do is call them out on the BS and let the buyer beware.
The entire fake 4K bit is wearing on my last nerve. Consumers are not stupid and for those that don’t know, it’s up to us to call it out, good or bad.

Your video helped me pick this camera once I'd figured out the cons didn't really affect my needs.
What you do get is a very compact lightweight, easy to take anywhere camera. The footage is fairly decent, so long as there's plenty of light available. The sensor is tiny and that is the real problem with capturing enough information to make 4k look decent. 2k/60 looks pretty cool, although only a slight bit better looking than 1080p. Works for me.

I really didn’t think the video quality was that bad. I don’t shoot in low light or at night so no problem there. I don’t understand why people want to shoot in the DARK anyway. As far as the mic most videos I make have music over them anyway so no problem there. My only concern is transferring the video to my phone or iPad. Is it a problem ? Obviously the video was transferred out to make the this presentation but is it a hassle ?
Sorry but I never transfer videos from camera to phone or Ipad's, I always take out the sd card and transfer to my computer for editing.

I am a user of dji pocket 2 and canon 700d.
I was interested in this camera 📷 due to its shape and 4k resolution.
But after seeing 👀 your video 📹 I changed my mind after listen that it's not 4k just fake .

I like the styling, I like the large battery, the battery life is supposed to be good but the picture quality is not good, I wish ins or gopro had a similar styling, then I would buy it.

It's a beginner's camera, an entry level camera for beginners only, it's pixels and price alone make it an entry level camera
It looks cool and is a perfect camera when it's not on
I used to love the sj, expect it to make a difference with the sj11, better quality and a higher price I can live with
I'm hoping to review the SJ11 and hope it works well and that they went back to the Ambarella H22 chipset

Thanks for the honest review! I really like the form factor, especially with the external battery and screen but the audio and fake 4k is a straight up deal breaker for me. Too bad, had they done it right, even if it cost $50 more, it would have made a great casual vlogging cam. And for God's sakes man, you're in Texas! Don't hit it with a hammer, put it on a clay pigeon thrower and blast it out of the sky with bird shot.

Man, those weird halos around the other vehicles and the trees in the park looks very strange! And it looks so over-sharpened. Along with the worst low-light I have seen for years! The 5000X kills the C300.
The SJ5000X Elite is 7 years old and still looks better than this camera for sure. Thanks for watching !
main cons is the mic placement.
For me the fact that you cant charge the batteries on an external charger is a killer because you can't keep filming with you are charging up your spare batteries.
After checking UA-cam for the 5000x, by your recommendation, it does seem like it was a gopro\dji killer(at the price) and for them to regress might mean foul play by market forces... Hate being a conspiracist, but it is fishy.

When I saw the comparison with the 5000X ELITE, the 5000 appeared to me as more natural. The C300 looks over sharpened (I am watching this from my 4K computer screen)...sometimes I detected slight out of focus moments, especially the grass scenes (but this might be me only). And yes, the shots taken by lowlight and evening takes me back to filming with VHS in the old days. My personal recommendation: I would not buy it...come on SJCAM check your competitors. You can do much better...!

With the GoPro Hero 11 being 249.99 and the DJI Action 2 right on its heels at 259.99 a camera like that for 150 bucks seems like throwing money out the window.

Too much ‘in camera’ sharpening! Such a pity that this company took the route that they did because I really liked their earlier offering.
Hey Ian, I guess by adding sharpening they "thought" they could make it look more like 4K. SJCAM has really dropped in innovation in the past few years, really a shame.
It's a very good product with obvious pros and cons: good looks, low price and poor image quality.
Unless it's a $300+ product, it looks like the pixels are flawed
Once again, SJCAM let's us down. I wanted and tried so hard to like this but it's just another piece of junk. SJ, if you're listening, we would forgive you tomorrow if you came up with a decent camera.
I don't know what's going on with SJCAM the past few years, I can only assume they have new engineers/designers. Really a shame.
That sound is utter shite! Still an SJ 6 Legend User (great value camera) also a C200 although only used for time-lapse's as there is no way it's an action cam. Also why, why, why do they insist on this fake 4K nonsense. Just go with 2K but make it REALLY good quality at a great price.

Very true about the ducks, the same 2 are always here in the Winter, then by Spring they're gone.
