Thanks for posting. Just plain fun. RE maintenance, I use a thick heavy duty clear plastic tape (2 layers) under bow and stern sections of my kayaks to prevent damage to the the glass and kevlar when sliding to stop on beaches.
We have a LeoC2X double in our club in Switzerland. It is very easy to row for beginners and experienced people. It became the most used boat in the club as it can be used also when the weather is not so good. However, you need a transport cart to move and store it.
A couple of tips. If you want to compete get a boat that is FISA compliant from the big international brands, like those you see being used at the World Coastals, also get a bow mount rigger if you want to compete in beach sprints, that rigger is going to get in your way. Get a quick release rigger. Finally get a trolley, that way not everyone needs to be a fit middle aged bloke to go for a row!!

Get some kayak roller wheels. Would make it way easier

Doesn't look like a LeoC1x to me. Looks far too short. Did you measure the length?
Have you measured your max cruising speed? Wonder how fast these can go during a "healthy" work out paddle.
