PM Narendra Modi inaugurates Pragati Maidan Integrated Transit Corridor project built at a cost of more than Rs 923 crores on 19th June 2022. The project aims to provide hassle-free and smooth access to the exhibition and convention centre being developed at Pragati Maidan.
The impact of the project will be much beyond Pragati Maidan as it will ensure hassle-free vehicular movement, helping save time and cost for commuters in a big way. It is part of the overarching vision of the government to ensure ease of living for people through transforming urban infrastructure.
“The main tunnel of the corridor connects Ring Road with India Gate via Purana Qila Road, passing through Pragati Maidan. The six-lane divided Tunnel has multiple purposes, including access to the huge basement parking of Pragati Maidan.

Ugly....very substandard infra projects..who told you to paint colors like this, making the city look ugly like graffiti? A clean and developed city should not be painted like a circus show. We indias always have a cheap mentality...cheap choices...please remove these paintings. These are going to fade out in 6 months and then the city will look ugly as hell....

As a citizen of India , non resident of Delhi ,from Jharkhand , I request to government to please look and take immediate initiatives on clearing the garbage hills which are very huge and depleting the seanic views of Delhi and nearby people has to face health problems because of it.

Today I drove through this tunnel. Very glad that daily 20 mins of traffic jam is over and so as the fuel wastage. But, Eastern freeway tunnel in Mumbai is also as wide as this so can't claim that this is the widest city tunnel.
The eastern freeway tunnel is 18 m wide while pragati maidan tunnel is 28 m wide
