Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffett, Michael Jackson's drummer since 1979, visited Republic Records studio in L.A. on September 13th, 2022 especially to meet Angelina. She performed "Billie Jean" and "I Have Nothing" for him. This video had appeared on Jonathan's TikTok , but unfortunately had been taken down soon.

I'm so impressed. Blown away, in fact. And doesn't this just prove that she did not need to win AGT Champions? you are very right about Angelina not needing to win AGT champions .. I do remember the furor in music industry websites and publications and from her legions of fans about her not winning the competition and they were not very complementary to AGT about their credibility . but regardless of that , Angelina is about to blow the roof off the music industry IMO .

This guy worked with Michael Jqckson and the Jqckson family for 30 years. He is a drummer, producer and songwriter. He has also worked with Madonna, George Michael, Elton John, Lionel Ritchie, Peter Cetera, Prince, Kenny G, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones to name a few….so its a legend sitting there….eh, excuse me, TWO legends 😉

We've seen a few short versions of both songs on their respective TikTok, but not the whole of "I Have Nothing". After hearing Angelina sing part of "Billie Jean", Jonathan said something special to her: “I can feel that it touched Michael’s spirit. You delivered, you delivered.” That touched Angelina's heart. It's posted on her TikTok.
If(when) she comes to the Costa Del Sol she will have fantastic audiences and I will be one of them....

@@rogercarriere4756 Well, I do count a contemporary musician as in the same league as Angelina… Alma Deutscher. They are in very different areas of music but both coming from that powerful inner connection and absolutely astounding the world.
Alma is a classical composer, just a year older than Angelina. (I really would love to see them meet and do something together from such different musical places!! I think they could be really good friends). Alma plays violin and piano masterfully with such subtle emotions evoked and even sings a lovely soprano… her first passion is composing, but when you have the most precious violins put in your hands to play them because your talent is so amazing at the youngest ages as Angelina has with her voice, you know you have a natural inborn star and master in from of you.
You can see why I count Alma and Angelina in the same league! Especially their hearts of compassion, their desire for both beauty in music and joy in the world, are in the same league!
Someone let me know if these two talented and beautiful young ladies ever get to meet please!

It is wonderful to see two legends, one young and the other a little older, living and breathing music. They are both loving it and fully pulled in.

I don't know how either of them survived that one. She got a bit exhausted doing that song of all songs sitting like that. But she only sounded better and used the tired voice at the end as just another believable flavor. Thanks so much for finding and sharing, hope it is ok by everyone. Another truly great performance, wonder where she's at where she can chill and serenade legends. Album is going to be nuts clearly. Wonder if these guys like Jimmy Z and Sugarfoot will be on it. Only thing better than her skills and voice is her love and effort given for it.
How do you see or why do you say she was exhausted?
@@louisegogel7973 The voice mostly, gets a bit more natural fry, and a bit higher tone and key. The colors, eyes, form, posture, all a bit. It would be impossible to sit cross legged in that way singing that hard and not tire quite a bit. We've seen how her body language changes when she gets a bit exhausted a couple times now, not so much recently, but it's there and similar to the times we've seen it. But I think it is a good thing, so don't get me wrong. She doesn't need it for emotion and storytelling, but it is nice to hear that in a different way sometimes. I think it suits the song as well, and like this better than her other covers of it, in which she stays on top of it a bit more and does just as well.
But, she actually performed 2 songs sitting there cross-legged and at least one more accompanying herself on a piano standing nearby.
@@borispalenovski6302 Indeed Boris. On piano during this same session? I caught the Billy Jean, even the long one where she laughed off a missed lyric and kept going crazy strong. Loved that as well. What was on piano? Wonder if I'm forgetting or never saw it.

As my first post with a direct link was deleted, I omit the link here, and try to add it with an extra comment. Otherwise you can find him via his mention in Angelina's Insta post doing Billy Jean for him.
UA-cam removes any comment containung an outside link. Yet, the link to Jonathan's Instagram post can be found in basically any Angelina's Facebook fan group. Also the short video with a part of this performance can be found on Jonathan's UA-cam channel.
@@borispalenovski6302, that might be due to the comment handling you have chosen -- in general I find the behaviour rather random, and sometimes it had worked to provide the link in a 2nd try. But yeah, many posts with links don't get through, even if the links point to within UA-cam. And at the same time spam posts, that use hidden links by ommiting the space behind what looks like a sentence full stop, stay for hours after reporting.It can be frustrating...

As if this song isnt hard enough to sing, she does it sitting with her feet in cross belting out those notes. Thats not easy, I tell ya! (I am not a singer, but I imagine its way easier to stand allowing full opening of the throat and airways).

If you speak about the backing track, yes it was. But Angelina was singing herself, just sitting there cross-legged, right into the microphone.
