It does look similar to Phoenix Dragon Girl but I think K&Co has a more red shimmer head on vs purple if you were curious! KBShimmer will also be bringing back a ton of her sugar scrubs to her shop!! My fav scents that I’ve tried: Bird of Paradise, Fruity Pebbles & Blueberry Muffin. I’m actually eyeing Mixed Up Mango & Farmer’s Market 🙈 Also THANK YOU to the lovely commenter who let me know Vapid is bringing back Seven Ravens in the PPU shop, I will DEFINITELY be grabbing that one!!! 😍 it looks like the pastel magnetic of my dreamssss 💖☁️
Okay so I have both Baja Blasted and Shake Your Shamrock and if I were to pick one, it would definitely be Shake Your Shamrock. It's a lot more opaque and bright, and the base color is much more bold. Baja Blasted is also beautiful, but it's more shimmer heavy and the green base leans more grassy than the Dreamland. That being said, I do agree that the formula on Shake Your Shamrock is a bit thick and gloopy, but I solved that with a little polish thinner and that did the trick. It also lasts on my nails for a while (haven't had a chance to test the PfD longevity yet) which is always a plus. So if you want something more focused on shimmer and more blue-leaning, PfD is the choice, but for the boldness and brightness with the more neon green, Shake Your Shamrock all the way. Ahh thank you so much for this breakdown!! 🫶🏼 yeah I figured there was a slight difference in their base colors too aside from the intensity/neon. I do like the shimmer in PfD but SYS seems more unique to my collection at least. And I’m with you too regarding the “bad” formula on SYS, I have thinner so it’s not a big deal lol. So I def will be grabbing that one! 😁💚

I went through my massive list and tried out polishes/combos with polishes I already own and was able to narrow mine down to 3. I also reminded myself that I live in a country that’s basically dark for 6+ months out of the year and I’m a pasty white lady, which eliminated several from my list.
While a few interest me, Sour Apple Rings is my main objective. I know that there are a few similar colors out there, but they generally lean green (or yellow). I love how Sour Apple Rings seems to be midway between yellow and green!
I have both Shake Your Shamrock and Baja Blasted! Shamrock is more opaque with a very green base and it does dry down slightly matte, it probably has some neon pigment in it. Baja Blasted is definitely teal and I found it was a little more sheer because it needed 3 coats. I got my Shamrock in last year's rewind and it's held up very well, (no fading) but Shamrock is slightly odd to apply because Dreamland's brush has a long stem. If you're looking for something that's more green I'd go with Shamrock!
I got sour apple rings the first time around and it is stunning. My sister ended up stealing the bottle at some point so I'm looking to buy a backup LOL. I picked up shake your shamrock that exact same month and it's also a favorite. I ended up buying my sister and myself a backup of that when it came back for rewind last year! The shimmer really pops with a glossy top coat

Barbie on the Boardwalk is sooo tempting, but since I'm getting a few on the PPU website I don't want to pay for more shipping. I got "Shake Your Shamrock" in last year's rewind actually. I was really on the fence about it because it didn't seem up my alley, but FOMO won me over and I ended up really loving it. It's so bright in any lighting. I didn't grab PfD's "Baja Blasted", but didn't think about how similar they are! From what I can tell for "Baja Blasted", the base looks slightly more blue leaning and the shimmer appears larger.
That totally makes sense! I do wish the second polishes were just listed on the PPU site too.. but ahh yeah i know there’s some fomo I’m feeling for shake your shamrock lol BUT I do generally like the color and would actually wear it and maybe even use it in nail art lol. I do like the slightly more teal color of Baja too though. Maybe if it’s around next year I’ll grab it then 🤣
The FOMO is SO REAL with the Ethereal! As for the some of the shades you talked yourself out of getting, I did the same-- like with Girl Dragon! My wishlist is Ethereal + some neons-- dreamland and one other one (totally forgot cus I'm currently painting my nails for an interview tomorrow)! Thank you for making these videos and for getting me to like some neons a bit more! 🥺🤍

I’m thrilled that I get a chance at PFD goblins & ghoulies!!! I wasn’t shopping PPU when it was originally released and I’ve been so sad that I missed out on it! I also just got Baja blasted in the mail and it’s really pretty! Definitely a color that just makes you happy when you see it. I like how the blue shimmer particles in it look a bit bigger than in shake your shamrock but I don’t have both so I don’t know for sure if that’s the case. I don’t think you can go wrong with either though and with how much SYS is talked up, I probably wouldn’t skip it if you’re on the fence.

I really think you should get Goblins and Ghoulies! I do not wear any of those super bold bright shades like the Lemming, etc. But G&G is SO GOOD and not too in your face. And its a totally different polish from 2 coats to 3 coats. 2 coats more of the purple base shows and its sheer and glowy! 💜
aghh but i already knowww i’m just not gonna wear it 🙈 I think if I didn’t have Tenta-cool already I would pick it up just to have that one super glowy blue/purple! apparently all I need is one for my collection to be satisfied lol.. but i can’t wait to see everyones swatches of G&G !!! 💜💙

I’m definitely grabbing Clionadh’s Rain-Bows! They were the brand that got me looking at indie nail polishes and I feel like I’ll regret it if I don’t. Drk nails’ pure Joy also caught my eye. Pinnacle Polish got me with the name first but the color is definitely my fall shade so I’ll also be getting I made a promise, Mr. Frodo. And Teen Spirit by sovereign beauty is a maybe. Not knowing what Moon Cat’s Pandemonium is has me nervous so I don’t want to spend too much and miss out on something there 😂
Rain-bows is soo pretty!! I do love the more flakie kinda finish it has too 🤩 and ooo the DRK & Pinnacle are so nice too, I do love a good fall green- one I wish would come back is Bluebird’s Ryan King from a few years ago 😩 and ahh definitely can’t wait to see if you end up getting Teen Spirit!! And omg yeah I’m anxious to see what they’re gonna do this month! 🙈 I’m never allowed to share anything but this time I literally have no idea what they have planned lol. Omg so much anxiety!! They are definitely playing up the fomo and acting like it’s going to be a life changing event. It came at the worst time too. I’m basically in a 3ish week waiting period with nothing to do so I’m on my phone way too often 🤦🏻♀️
I love how your potential dupes match mine in most cases. It gives me validation 😂. I have teen spirit, and the reflective glitter is barely there just in case that's the decisive factor. I also have shake your shamrock, and I am getting a backup bottle because that shade is beautiful. I have received compliments on zoom calls when wearing it. That's how beautiful it is.

I don’t think I’ve tried a reflective glitter that’s in more of a Crelly base vs a jelly, so I wasn’t sure how “lumpy” it might look but the photos def look smooth to me haha. Thank you for confirming it’s really not bad at all! And oh yay! Yeah I imagine a lot of people will be grabbing backups this month too 🙈 totally understandable!! Especially for a shade like that 😍

I got the Alchemy Lacquers Oddities when it dropped! It is very prugly and I love it. Iam very proud to say…I have only two I want, Atomic Polish Sour Apple Rings and Monarch Lacquer “Truth or Dare”. *whispers* I will be getting a back up for both so it’s really four 😅 Oh man…the Colored de Carol “The Lost Diadem” looks so pretty-especially matte. Okay! Looks like I am adding Graceful Nail “Walking in a Wonderland” to my wish list (I may drop it since it is reminding me of a Vanessa Molina polish I have). I was going to add Lyn B. Designs “Frosted Light” but it reminds me a lot of the Sassy Cat Lacquer “It’s Always Tea Time” which I have. I am excited to see what you end up getting!💙

Saved me a lot of time 😂🥳👏 Thanks for labeling the side by side comparisons - as a visual learner it's truly appreciated 🥰 I usually buy between 12-20 bottles during PPU Rewind month (including the secondary maker site shades) but this year my wishlist is tiny! I bought most of the ones I love during first release, so it's a funny feeling thinking how few I will pick up this year. My only definites are: PFD - Barbie on the boardwalk Phoenix - Girl Dragon (although I'm going back & forth because I know I'm being partly driven by the hype & I don't really enjoy Brown polish lol)

If I'm honest with myself I think I'm trying to force myself to order & be excited because that's what's always happened with previous rewinds. I know that sounds daft but I'm so used to being excited about Rewind that my brain is confused at the concept of not ordering anything 😂 I'm really taking notice of how much hype is influencing my wishlist & honestly - I may end up not making an order 🤷♀️ I'm overwhelmed by other releases this month - PPU, PPU maker sites, PBE, WFL, BKL, so I'm finding it hard to focus on just PPU. I need to take a breather, find my rational mind & remember this is meant to be fun 😂
I’m not getting much, Atomic - neon shimmers are my vibe this summer, plus I think it might look great w their Redrum for Christmas, Chameleon’s Mysterious Uranus & Kathleen & co Cherry Blossom. Also getting the heel stick & the possum catnip toy. I’m also getting Barbie on the Boardwalk from the PfD shop. I have PfD G&G, Phoenix Girl Dragom, PiPP One Foot In the Ground & Lyn B’s Frosted Light & adore all of them.
On the subject of thermals…since you mentioned you don’t really buy them due to feeling like they don’t last long…I got it. I don’t trust most brands. BUT I swear by Fancy Gloss thermals. I started purchasing Fancy Gloss in 2016. I still have 8 thermals I purchased in 2016. 3 no longer fully transition but do still transition some. 5 transition normally and one of the five I purchased from a destash so it was 2016 or older. I purchased 19 in 2017. 2 are empty. 4 no longer fully transition only somewhat. 1 of these was also from a destash so I’m not sure how old it really was. 13 still transition normally. As long as you take care of FG thermals/don’t store in heat/sun you are going to get YEARS out of them! I highly suggest giving Fancy Gloss a shot. Especially when they are in PPU 😉
i’ve heard Fancy Gloss are like THE best for thermals!! I never tried them myself but have read similar stories to yours on reddit before, about them being years old but still transitioning. it definitely makes sense that some will lose how strong the transition is (and of course for some to fully die) but its so good to know that the majority still work! I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future PPUs hehe thank you!!
I got my first PPU order (from June) exactly today! So your video came out at the perfect time as I’m looking at the July list. I kinda want to try the Ethereal / Lumen polishes due to their infamy and I am quite into glowy polishes right now. Though the rest I’m kinda on the fence on - nothing really grabbing me right now besides the potential FOMO. :p
How exciting!! I should be getting my June order this week and I can’t wait haha. Ethereal & Lumen are so nice for glowy polishes, I think the general consensus is how sheer they are compared to other brands where these could easily double as toppers lol. But I do think some of them are so worth it!! Definitely would love to know what you end up ordering on Friday 🙈
I don’t know if you want to pass up Shake Your Shamrock. I just received my order from last month with Dreamland’s The Sea Haunt. It’s stunning…in the bottle, at least. Has convinced me I need SYS.
I will pick up GLL from PPU for sure! I cannot believe I skipped it when it came out but I guess it was not the time then. It is definitely the time now though! Other than that I am not really sure. I don't like picking just one item so I may go with the Limitless top coat. I already used up a bottle in that scent so I think it's a good idea. I am comparing Dreamland SYS to Baja Blasted right now and I feel that it is OK to own both, they're different enough. Everything you said about Dreamland is true, it's a two coater, the shimmer is finer, and then base is more opaque than in BB. I do not love their brush because my nails are relatively narrow but I have several brushes from Cupcake and I changed all my Dreamlands now. With the new brush the application was a breeze and the formula is great.
haha i’m the same where picking up just ONE thing is almost silly to me 🤣 a bottle of Limitless sounds good though! I haven’t tried that topcoat yet but would like to in the future, i love her scented options!! thank you for comparing Baja & SYS! I did see another comment mentioning not loving the Dreamland brush, I don’t have any cupcake brush replacements, but do from other brands so hopefully one of them will fit lol!
@@PolishedYogi the Glisten&Glow, KBShimmer, or Polished for Days brushes are the same ones but different from the Cupcake ones. Those will not fit in the Dreamland bottle. I know you have some KBShimmer ones but dunno what others.
I try to keep my wishlist to 5 or less items. I currently have the following on my wishlist: Dany Vianna's Rosewater, Ether Dragon, Great Lakes Lacquer Come Again, Goblins and Ghoulies, and I wanna have Boobies. That being said, my sister wants me to get a backup of Glass Jellyfish. I'm not surprised to see it back for rewind. I'm also not surprised to see Sassy Cats Lacquer Sugarcoat Everything available for rewind. It is one of my favorite polishes and I think the owner had to increase the stock on its first PPU release in December. I'm glad that people have the opportunity to get it since it's such a pretty polish.

Ok, just throwing this out there... Victorian Varnish Lancaster's Luck is a near dupe for Dreamland SYS. Hey Mercedes has a short where she compared the 2 and the only real difference I can see is the VV one has a stronger blue shimmer. I own LL and I can tell you its GORGEOUS!! Also VV is $12 for 17ml. Js 😊 they also have a near dupe for Monarch Truth or Dare that just came out today called Intergalactic Planetarium. I just purchased it earlier this evening and I cant wait to get it 😁
@@ambitionroad I love SYS and TOD buuuut I also love Victorian Varnish ♥️ They are still a newish indie brand and the owner is an absolute doll!! She is very interactive in the Varnished Victorian's FB group and she sends the cutest stickers with your orders too!! And not just 1 sticker... SEVERAL stickers. I'm a sucker for a cute sticker 😂 but yeah the VV brush is very nice, massive bottles, and a fantastic formula!! I swear I don't work for them 😂 I just recently discovered, as in finally tried, them (in the past 8 months or so Id say) and I totally dig the brand and the vibe. I've made repeat purchases from them.
I picked up Oddities because I also thought it could be a dupe for Apple of My Eye and I can confirm that they are very different. Oddities is a more muted green and the shimmer leans more purple.

My wish list for this one is just full. It's me going "oh I wasn't in the community yet. I want this and this" lol on my definite list are greens: shake your shamrock, atomic polish, and Pinnacle polish 'I made a promise Mr frodo'. But then I also have I forgive you, Glass jellyfish, Baja blast and Rosewater that I'm debating. It's going to be a hard month to decide 😂

Shake You Shamrock is gorgeous! The color is straight fire! 🔥... but yep, the formula is super thick. Also, the Bluebird reminds me of an antique Cirque called Winter Bloom, which is flippin' gorgeous! Still one of my favorites after all this time and all this polish. Get it!😍

PFD's Goblins & Ghoulies and Dreamland's Shake Your Shamrock are 🔥Hype is real for them both. Shamrock, specifically is so beautiful and BRIGHT! It's a neon w/ character as the blue glow, crelly formula, and 'bleached' look are unique to me. With a top coat it looks real sleek. After thinner for me it was easy to apply, don't worry. Seriously. Get it! I have a thing for neon greens, but I passed on Sour Apple Rings last PPU Rewind in favor for Shamrock so I'm hyped to get that one too now. Ether Dragon is in my sights too, been pining for it since last Nov when I (stupidly) passed on it. I saw some comparisons to PFD's Lush on Reddit, not total dupes, but same vibe. (And I'm totally going to get both at some point as I have a 'type', lol) Also have my eye on Cadillacquer's Orchid, Cupcake's Funfetti, and MSM's Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls (Cinderella vibes!) too. Trying to keep my list short n' sweet as well, but ya know... 😊
I'm so bummed out BKL Queen of Rot didn't return. My wishlist consisted of that, Atomic Polish Sour Apple Rings, PFD Goblins And Ghoulies and Beaux Rêves Blooming Azalea. Wouldn't have minded if Ethereal also brought back Cloud Latte. 😅

I have both Ethereal Ether Dragon and Careful I Bite, and I think they're quite different! On me, Ether Dragon is a sheer, shifty, sparkly beauty, while Careful I Bite has a white-ish sheer base and the shimmer is softer, almost pearly. The color shifts are similar, but Ether Dragon also has a bit of purple at extreme angles.
yeah after showing the photo of Careful I Bite I was like wow these are not similar at alll 😆 I haven’t even properly worn CIB yet but based on your description i might like ED more 🙈
I have Krisable’s Don’t touch the calico bush and in my collection it looks like Bkl Doomicorn in color without the reflective glitter. But it is really the closest to Bkl Overgrown mosquito, which is slightly less opaque. Really looking forward to my first rewind. 😊

I'm excited that one of the stockists I order from is hosting the PPU Rewind! I'll be ordering from there because I have until July 21st to do that!! What I find wild is how different the selection is. The none of the polishes I want from the PPU website are on the stockist website. Oh well, from Gracie Jay & Co, I'm hoping to get Moonbeam by Nailed It and The Blair Witch by Red Eyed Lacquer.
I have Beaux Rêves, KBShimmer, and Monarch on my list. My goal is to not shop at all or to get just one. I think Blooming Azalea is the most unique from my list, so maybe that is the one to get.

@@PolishedYogi It’s probably the subtlety of the magnetic effect that has been the let down, although I think the swatches were accurate in showing that. I’m thinking it’ll look great when the horseshoe magnet does its thing, though, I don’t mind the subtle magnetic effect because the shifts and the base look to have a lot going on.
Thankfully I have quite a few of the polishes that are being brought back, but I still had to narrow it down significantly. I keep having to remind myself that if I skipped it before, there was a good reason. I currently have Phoenix, Beaux Reves, and Bluebird on my wishlist. I'm on the fence about GPL.

Considering Shake Your Shamrock even though it’s not something I’d normally wear just because I’ve heard so much about it and the FOMO is real. I’m thinking I’ll get Frosted Light as well🫶

KB Shimmer has 10+ scrubs on their web-site for Rewind and 1 nail polish. I have Alchemy Lacquers Oddities. I haven’t worn it, yet, but I didn’t see the dark artifacts I see in the pictures online.

How does the Lyn B Frosted Light compare to MC Sabertooth? I know the formulas are different in that one has flakes, and one is just shimmer; but I am curious about the color differences and "vibe".
Omg idk how I forgot to mention Sabertooth as a comparison lol! They’re both shimmers though so I would say they have a very similar icy/wintery vibe~ but slightly noticeable color differences: sabertooth is more of a pale/whitened blue base with aqua blue shimmer while Frosted is a bit more saturated base but with a green multichrome shimmer that shifts to aqua/blue/purple in more extreme lighting! I think there’s a hint of purple shimmer in Sabertooth in extreme lighting but it’s a lot more subtle. iirc Sabertooth is also more sheer if that matters! I can compare them on my insta stories tomorrow morning, just DM me if you miss it 🤗🩵✨
I'm also looking at picking up ether dragon to compare it to careful I bite! I'll probably end up loving both though since I already know my own tastes 😂 I love the swatches I've seen from other people too... almost picked up pfd lush for a similar reason

Question about Frosted Light: i have Zoya Rayne which i feel like is pretty similar...however zoya Rayne fades the blue color and yellows in a bad way after like day 2 of wear. At first i thought i was imagining it, but i applied fresh color next to it and its definitly different. Anyway, do you think this is an issue with Frosted Light?
@@PolishedYogi yes i figure that particular polish is sensitive to uv light. I read someone say holo taco box office bomb faded as well. I was using the zoya ultra glossy top coat, so shouldnt be a top coat issue. Anyway love that shade.

It doesn’t say when though, so I would check her shop on Friday or her instagram for an update. It does look similar to Phoenix Dragon Girl but I think K&Co has a more red shimmer head on vs purple if you were curious!

Okay so I have both Baja Blasted and Shake Your Shamrock and if I were to pick one, it would definitely be Shake Your Shamrock. It's a lot more opaque and bright, and the base color is much more bold. Baja Blasted is also beautiful, but it's more shimmer heavy and the green base leans more grassy than the Dreamland. That being said, I do agree that the formula on Shake Your Shamrock is a bit thick and gloopy, but I solved that with a little polish thinner and that did the trick. It also lasts on my nails for a while (haven't had a chance to test the PfD longevity yet) which is always a plus. So if you want something more focused on shimmer and more blue-leaning, PfD is the choice, but for the boldness and brightness with the more neon green, Shake Your Shamrock all the way. I hope this helps!!!
Ahh thank you so much for this breakdown!! 🫶🏼 yeah I figured there was a slight difference in their base colors too aside from the intensity/neon. I do like the shimmer in PfD but SYS seems more unique to my collection at least. And I’m with you too regarding the “bad” formula on SYS, I have thinner so it’s not a big deal lol. So I def will be grabbing that one! 😁💚

I went through my massive list and tried out polishes/combos with polishes I already own and was able to narrow mine down to 3. I also reminded myself that I live in a country that’s basically dark for 6+ months out of the year and I’m a pasty white lady, which eliminated several from my list.
Update: I bought them all.
While a few interest me, Sour Apple Rings is my main objective. I know that there are a few similar colors out there, but they generally lean green (or yellow). I love how Sour Apple Rings seems to be midway between yellow and green!

I have both Shake Your Shamrock and Baja Blasted! Shamrock is more opaque with a very green base and it does dry down slightly matte, it probably has some neon pigment in it. Baja Blasted is definitely teal and I found it was a little more sheer because it needed 3 coats. I got my Shamrock in last year's rewind and it's held up very well, (no fading) but Shamrock is slightly odd to apply because Dreamland's brush has a long stem. If you're looking for something that's more green I'd go with Shamrock!

I picked up shake your shamrock that exact same month and it's also a favorite. I ended up buying my sister and myself a backup of that when it came back for rewind last year! The shimmer really pops with a glossy top coat

Barbie on the Boardwalk is sooo tempting, but since I'm getting a few on the PPU website I don't want to pay for more shipping. I got "Shake Your Shamrock" in last year's rewind actually. I was really on the fence about it because it didn't seem up my alley, but FOMO won me over and I ended up really loving it. It's so bright in any lighting. I didn't grab PfD's "Baja Blasted", but didn't think about how similar they are! From what I can tell for "Baja Blasted", the base looks slightly more blue leaning and the shimmer appears larger.
That totally makes sense! I do wish the second polishes were just listed on the PPU site too.. but ahh yeah i know there’s some fomo I’m feeling for shake your shamrock lol BUT I do generally like the color and would actually wear it and maybe even use it in nail art lol. I do like the slightly more teal color of Baja too though. Maybe if it’s around next year I’ll grab it then 🤣
The FOMO is SO REAL with the Ethereal! As for the some of the shades you talked yourself out of getting, I did the same-- like with Girl Dragon! My wishlist is Ethereal + some neons-- dreamland and one other one (totally forgot cus I'm currently painting my nails for an interview tomorrow)!

I’m thrilled that I get a chance at PFD goblins & ghoulies!!! I wasn’t shopping PPU when it was originally released and I’ve been so sad that I missed out on it! I also just got Baja blasted in the mail and it’s really pretty! Definitely a color that just makes you happy when you see it. I like how the blue shimmer particles in it look a bit bigger than in shake your shamrock but I don’t have both so I don’t know for sure if that’s the case. I don’t think you can go wrong with either though and with how much SYS is talked up, I probably wouldn’t skip it if you’re on the fence.

i'm only getting one polish sadly because only one of the polishes i voted/wanted to vote on got in which is polished for days goblins and ghoulies which i sorely regret not getting last year after realizing how much i love glowy polishes. like it looks good it ALL lighting? i'm there! 😂 maybe this is a blessing in disguise though because i got covid last month and so i'm really supposed to be using my money to catch up on bills and not polishes after running out of sick days 😬

I really think you should get Goblins and Ghoulies! I do not wear any of those super bold bright shades like the Lemming, etc. But G&G is SO GOOD and not too in your face. And its a totally different polish from 2 coats to 3 coats. 2 coats more of the purple base shows and its sheer and glowy! 💜
aghh but i already knowww i’m just not gonna wear it 🙈 I think if I didn’t have Tenta-cool already I would pick it up just to have that one super glowy blue/purple! apparently all I need is one for my collection to be satisfied lol.. but i can’t wait to see everyones swatches of G&G !!! 💜💙

I love how your potential dupes match mine in most cases. It gives me validation 😂. I have teen spirit, and the reflective glitter is barely there just in case that's the decisive factor. I also have shake your shamrock, and I am getting a backup bottle because that shade is beautiful. I have received compliments on zoom calls when wearing it. That's how beautiful it is.

I usually buy between 12-20 bottles during PPU Rewind month (including the secondary maker site shades) but this year my wishlist is tiny!
I bought most of the ones I love during first release, so it's a funny feeling thinking how few I will pick up this year.
My only definites are:
PFD - Barbie on the boardwalk
Phoenix - Girl Dragon (although I'm going back & forth because I know I'm being partly driven by the hype & I don't really enjoy Brown polish lol)

On the subject of thermals…since you mentioned you don’t really buy them due to feeling like they don’t last long…I got it. I don’t trust most brands.
BUT I swear by Fancy Gloss thermals. I started purchasing Fancy Gloss in 2016.
I still have 8 thermals I purchased in 2016. 3 no longer fully transition but do still transition some. 5 transition normally and one of the five I purchased from a destash so it was 2016 or older.
I purchased 19 in 2017.
2 are empty.
4 no longer fully transition only somewhat. 1 of these was also from a destash so I’m not sure how old it really was.
13 still transition normally.
As long as you take care of FG thermals/don’t store in heat/sun you are going to get YEARS out of them! I highly suggest giving Fancy Gloss a shot.
Especially when they are in PPU 😉
i’ve heard Fancy Gloss are like THE best for thermals!! I never tried them myself but have read similar stories to yours on reddit before, about them being years old but still transitioning. it definitely makes sense that some will lose how strong the transition is (and of course for some to fully die) but its so good to know that the majority still work! I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future PPUs hehe thank you!!
I got my first PPU order (from June) exactly today! So your video came out at the perfect time as I’m looking at the July list. I kinda want to try the Ethereal / Lumen polishes due to their infamy and I am quite into glowy polishes right now. Though the rest I’m kinda on the fence on - nothing really grabbing me right now besides the potential FOMO. :p

I will pick up GLL from PPU for sure! I cannot believe I skipped it when it came out but I guess it was not the time then. It is definitely the time now though! Other than that I am not really sure. I don't like picking just one item so I may go with the Limitless top coat. I already used up a bottle in that scent so I think it's a good idea.
I am comparing Dreamland SYS to Baja Blasted right now and I feel that it is OK to own both, they're different enough. Everything you said about Dreamland is true, it's a two coater, the shimmer is finer, and then base is more opaque than in BB. I do not love their brush because my nails are relatively narrow but I have several brushes from Cupcake and I changed all my Dreamlands now. With the new brush the application was a breeze and the formula is great.
haha i’m the same where picking up just ONE thing is almost silly to me 🤣 a bottle of Limitless sounds good though! I haven’t tried that topcoat yet but would like to in the future, i love her scented options!!
thank you for comparing Baja & SYS! I did see another comment mentioning not loving the Dreamland brush, I don’t have any cupcake brush replacements, but do from other brands so hopefully one of them will fit lol!
@@PolishedYogi the Glisten&Glow, KBShimmer, or Polished for Days brushes are the same ones but different from the Cupcake ones. Those will not fit in the Dreamland bottle. I know you have some KBShimmer ones but dunno what others.

I try to keep my wishlist to 5 or less items. I currently have the following on my wishlist: Dany Vianna's Rosewater, Ether Dragon, Great Lakes Lacquer Come Again, Goblins and Ghoulies, and I wanna have Boobies. That being said, my sister wants me to get a backup of Glass Jellyfish. I'm not surprised to see it back for rewind. I'm also not surprised to see Sassy Cats Lacquer Sugarcoat Everything available for rewind. It is one of my favorite polishes and I think the owner had to increase the stock on its first PPU release in December. I'm glad that people have the opportunity to get it since it's such a pretty polish.

Ok, just throwing this out there... Victorian Varnish Lancaster's Luck is a near dupe for Dreamland SYS. Hey Mercedes has a short where she compared the 2 and the only real difference I can see is the VV one has a stronger blue shimmer. I own LL and I can tell you its GORGEOUS!! Also VV is $12 for 17ml. Js 😊 they also have a near dupe for Monarch Truth or Dare that just came out today called Intergalactic Planetarium. I just purchased it earlier this evening and I cant wait to get it 😁

She is very interactive in the Varnished Victorian's FB group and she sends the cutest stickers with your orders too!! And not just 1 sticker... SEVERAL stickers. I'm a sucker for a cute sticker 😂 but yeah the VV brush is very nice, massive bottles, and a fantastic formula!! I swear I don't work for them 😂 I just recently discovered, as in finally tried, them (in the past 8 months or so Id say) and I totally dig the brand and the vibe. I've made repeat purchases from them.

I picked up Oddities because I also thought it could be a dupe for Apple of My Eye and I can confirm that they are very different. Oddities is a more muted green and the shimmer leans more purple.
That definitely makes sense! I did realize after some of the photos did look a lot more muted, almost murky lol. But also good to know the shimmer is different too! Thank you for confirming 💚✨

Ether Dragon reminds me of EDM Lament. The base is slightly different and the shimmer is a bit more blue-magenta than aqua-purple, but close vibe imo.
oh yeah can definitely see those being cousins! lament reminds me a bit more of PFD’s Lush, maybe more sheer? absolutely love shades like that!!
Shake You Shamrock is gorgeous! The color is straight fire! 🔥... but yep, the formula is super thick. Also, the Bluebird reminds me of an antique Cirque called Winter Bloom, which is flippin' gorgeous! Still one of my favorites after all this time and all this polish. Get it!😍

PFD's Goblins & Ghoulies and Dreamland's Shake Your Shamrock are 🔥Hype is real for them both. Shamrock, specifically is so beautiful and BRIGHT! It's a neon w/ character as the blue glow, crelly formula, and 'bleached' look are unique to me. With a top coat it looks real sleek. After thinner for me it was easy to apply, don't worry. Seriously. Get it! I have a thing for neon greens, but I passed on Sour Apple Rings last PPU Rewind in favor for Shamrock so I'm hyped to get that one too now. Ether Dragon is in my sights too, been pining for it since last Nov when I (stupidly) passed on it. I saw some comparisons to PFD's Lush on Reddit, not total dupes, but same vibe. (And I'm totally going to get both at some point as I have a 'type', lol)
Also have my eye on Cadillacquer's Orchid, Cupcake's Funfetti, and MSM's Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls (Cinderella vibes!) too. Trying to keep my list short n' sweet as well, but ya know... 😊

I have both Ethereal Ether Dragon and Careful I Bite, and I think they're quite different! On me, Ether Dragon is a sheer, shifty, sparkly beauty, while Careful I Bite has a white-ish sheer base and the shimmer is softer, almost pearly. The color shifts are similar, but Ether Dragon also has a bit of purple at extreme angles.
yeah after showing the photo of Careful I Bite I was like wow these are not similar at alll 😆 I haven’t even properly worn CIB yet but based on your description i might like ED more 🙈
I have Krisable’s Don’t touch the calico bush and in my collection it looks like Bkl Doomicorn in color without the reflective glitter. But it is really the closest to Bkl Overgrown mosquito, which is slightly less opaque. Really looking forward to my first rewind. 😊

I'm excited that one of the stockists I order from is hosting the PPU Rewind! I'll be ordering from there because I have until July 21st to do that!! What I find wild is how different the selection is. The none of the polishes I want from the PPU website are on the stockist website. Oh well, from Gracie Jay & Co, I'm hoping to get Moonbeam by Nailed It and The Blair Witch by Red Eyed Lacquer.

I have Beaux Rêves, KBShimmer, and Monarch on my list. My goal is to not shop at all or to get just one. I think Blooming Azalea is the most unique from my list, so maybe that is the one to get.

@@PolishedYogi It’s probably the subtlety of the magnetic effect that has been the let down, although I think the swatches were accurate in showing that. I’m thinking it’ll look great when the horseshoe magnet does its thing, though, I don’t mind the subtle magnetic effect because the shifts and the base look to have a lot going on.
I’m with you on a few polishes, beautiful but I’m not likely to wear. But there are a few I have to take a close look at! 😁

How does the Lyn B Frosted Light compare to MC Sabertooth? I know the formulas are different in that one has flakes, and one is just shimmer; but I am curious about the color differences and "vibe".
Omg idk how I forgot to mention Sabertooth as a comparison lol! They’re both shimmers though so I would say they have a very similar icy/wintery vibe~ but slightly noticeable color differences: sabertooth is more of a pale/whitened blue base with aqua blue shimmer while Frosted is a bit more saturated base but with a green multichrome shimmer that shifts to aqua/blue/purple in more extreme lighting!
I think there’s a hint of purple shimmer in Sabertooth in extreme lighting but it’s a lot more subtle. iirc Sabertooth is also more sheer if that matters! I can compare them on my insta stories tomorrow morning, just DM me if you miss it 🤗🩵✨

Vapid is supposed to have Seven Ravens for rewind as well. It is one of those pastel magnetics, and it sold out so fast last November...So far it is not up at PPU though.

Question about Frosted Light: i have Zoya Rayne which i feel like is pretty similar...however zoya Rayne fades the blue color and yellows in a bad way after like day 2 of wear. At first i thought i was imagining it, but i applied fresh color next to it and its definitly different. Anyway, do you think this is an issue with Frosted Light?
definitely have not had that issue before! i’ve only heard of yellowing with topcoats, it’s weird you’ve experienced that with a polish! 😳
@@PolishedYogi yes i figure that particular polish is sensitive to uv light. I read someone say holo taco box office bomb faded as well. I was using the zoya ultra glossy top coat, so shouldnt be a top coat issue. Anyway love that shade.
