I visited Gary Forbes in Bruce County and toured his new We Cover cattle barn.

Very nice efficient barn. You have to wonder in future years if there will be as many calves coming from the west with all the downsizing with the drought this past year.

Interesting….the building increases efficiency…..took the same time to feed 300 cattle vs 800 now….that s a lot

What percent of the ration is silage

Small calves get mostly silage. Bigger calves get a silage haylage and pellet mixture
