I love this band! I am a big fan of Japanese rock music, and this group has a surprisingly unique sound, with a nice blend of progressive and pop elements. This song has a nice Lovebites drive to it, which is to be expected given the people involved, but the violin gives them real distinction. Their "First Utterance" ep is fantastic and I can't wait for the debut album next month.

Narumi's stint in Destrose was largely coterminous with Haruna's and Miho's. Guest violinist Ayasa is with Morfonica, one of the bands of the BanG Dream franchise. Singer Maiko Nomura and bassist Yuuki Hirose have been with Queen of Purple, one of the units of Tokyo 7th Sisters. Drummer Mizuki has backed various artists---PassCode and LoVendoЯ, among others. A further Lovebites connection is the involvement of Steve Jacobs and Mao Yamamoto, who has collaborated with Lovebites as keyboardist, composer, arranger.
BanG Dream and Tokyo 7th Sisters are yet more evidence of how closely intertwined the manga/anime/game and music industries are in Japan.

@@Nitlda I think Asami and Ayasa first performed together at the Metrock 2018 festival in Tokyo May 27 on the Seaside Park Stage---they were both in the band supporting idol Sayaka Yamamoto (former member of AKB48 and NMB48), Asami as backing vocalist. I missed them by one day---I saw Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas on May 26 on the same stage.

@@otobokegaijin6218 When I first read that Asami and Ayasa knew each other and performed together in the past I went to check their twitter and instagram (always verify what you read on the internet) and indeed found several pictures of them together from back in 2017, already as the support band for Sayaka Yamamoto.
Dang that's a tough one, but hope you enjoyed the show! Falilv are great. Though similarly to Passcode or Maximum The Hormone, it's a band I wouldn't listen to on a daily basis (bit too hectic for me) but if I ever had the opportunity to see them live I'd be the first to buy a ticket.

Even though it’s a new band there is a lot of potential even with the connections between LOVEBITES and Destrose, their debut EP is really good…aside from the others mentioning the other connections Lonesome Blue is singed to the same record label as LOVEBITES Victor Entertainment…now it’s just me but if and when LOVEBITES does tour again I would love to see Lonesome Blue open for them.

Thanks for reacting to this. They are a new band that has just been formed. This song is the 2nd single from their 1st EP released a month ago, the 1st one is my favourite from them so far it's called "Beginning of the End" it also has a MV would be nice if you plan on reacting to it too🤘
Narumi (Guitarist, ex Destrose) released a solo EP that is absolutely fantastic you should check it too it is available on her official YT channel

You are one of the first reviewers to check out this band. Great choice! Narumi Suzuki (known professionally as “Narumi”) is one of Japan's elite guitarists. She was Destrose’ co-lead during that band’s most successful phase, along with Destrose bandleader Minako Nakamura (“Captain Mina”); other bandmates included Miho and Haruna, who went on to found Lovebites, and Marina Hebishii, who founded Mardelas.
After leaving Destrose, Narumi co-founded Disqualia with Ibuki. Her co-lead in that band was a very young Hazuki, who is now one of the two lead guitarists in Nemophila. After Disqualia disbanded, Narumi focused on a solo career, which yielded a phenomenal solo EP, “The Seed”, featuring highly technical prog and fusion-style instrumentals. It is worthy of comparisons to some of the great fusion albums of the late 1970’s. Here is the lead track, “Red Rabbit”: ua-cam.com/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/v-deo.html
Narumi also filled in for Toki during Toki’s first maternity leave from Aldious, and was with them for their only North American live appearance to date, an exhibition at NAMM.
Narumi has long had a devoted fan following who wanted to see her lead her own band. Their wishes were answered in early 2022, with the debut of her new prog-metal band called Lonesome Blue. Drummer Mizuki (x Shinku-Horou), vocalist Maiko Nomura (a voice actress singing under her own name for the first time) and bassist Yuuki Hirose complete the lineup.
Lonesome_Blue's debut EP “First Utterance” contains five tracks co-composed by Light Bringer keyboardist Mao, with lyrics written by Lovebites frontwoman Asami (another instance of the close and symbiotic relationship among many of Japan’s female metal stars). As you just saw, the song “Parallel World” features a spectacular appearance by Morfonica violinist Ayasa. Others to check out:

Narumi was Miho's and Haruna's bandmate while in Destrose (2012-2015) and also Hazuki's (Nemophila) in the band Disqualia (2015-2017), with two other former Destrose members Ibuki (vocals) and Risa*Risa (drums).

In reality, Narumi isn't so underestimated. She had a fame that was a little inferior to Aldious's Toki. However, it is a fact that many Japanese rock and metal enthusiasts know that Narumi is superior to Toki in terms of skill.

Awesome 🤘 Thank you for checking this one out. When i first heard this song i was WOW and had to rewatch it about 10 times because there was alot to take in and its just that good. The violin is absolutely awesome and kind of a shame shes not a full time member but mabye well see her again in another song. I absolutely love Maiko's vocals. I believe i read that she grew up in NY from age 2-7 so that helped her learn english at a young age. If you loved this song your really really really going to love their song "Beginning Of The End" link ua-cam.com/video/7_maTWu7Ycw/v-deo.html its more zombie themed and has a total different feel from Parallel World. Just like Lovebites they play around with different genres. One song might be metal the next song might be some sort of rock. Yes their new 5 song EP is kinda pricey at $37+shipping but well worth it and im overjoyed to own it

A few years before Narumi, Saki made her debut in Destrose. Saki played there for a short time, under a year. There were 3 recordings of Destrose with Saki in the line-up on Yotube (I see Saki for the first time in her first band). Link to Rose Of Destruction. Two other recordings per channel. ua-cam.com/video/3kjNNGpw3J4/v-deo.html
    I recommend making a reaction.
I also highly recommend the reaction of the newest single by Nemophili - Style. Nemophila was surprised as always and it's great as always.
Ps. Narumi is one of my favorite guitarists. Plays with 7 strings like Saki and Hazuki.

I'm definitely interested in this band, and was even planning to pick up the album, but damn, $37 plus international shipping for a 5 song EP is a touch pricey. Guess I'll have to keep an eye on Mercari and Rakuten and see if any lower priced copies turn up.
