Some notes: the Strix G18 was in turbo mode for cyberpunk tests. This is quieter than max fans and made the temps a bit hotter. The other tests were done on max fans on both laptops I believe.

Hey Gizmo, I found the G18 on Amazon sold by HID. I almost got it but cancelled my order after reading some sketchy reviews. So I ordered the m16 instead.
Do you know anything about HID?

In my experience, maintaining lower GPU temperatures can help extend the lifespan of your machine. If you're considering the M16, you can manage the CPU's power limit to maintain similar clock speeds while keeping temperatures lower. However, it's important to note that running games with a hot GPU can be problematic, as many games use the GPU heavily and not all of the CPU's cores. These CPUs are powerful, and it's unlikely that any game will fully utilize all of their cores in the next 2 -5 years. If you're aiming for a longer-lasting high perfomance machine, it's a good idea to keep an eye on your GPU temperatures. In my case, I've had laptops that lasted up to 5 years with no issues, as long as I kept the vents and fans clean and applied new thermal paste every year. As a general rule of thumb, try to avoid letting your GPU temperature exceed 80 degrees Celsius to ensure your machine runs like a champ

I think m16 has a better cooling system when it comes to gaming because cpu doesn't get broken easily even if it keeps high temparature but gpu, on the other hand, tends to get broken when thermal's too high

More corect will be maching Strix G16 vs Alnw M16 or Strix G18 vs Alnw M18,because the smaller screen will be little more perfomance then bigest.

So I will say I ended up buying the razer blade 16 because micro center has an in store repair warranty and I wanted a mini led or OLED screen and unfortunately alienware didn't have any. So far I'm really liking the blade 16. The biggest issue for me is that the keyboard is so much smaller than my previous alienware m15. But hopefully I'll get used to that
