      I guess him not being in the house and not seeing his family really affected him. Comparing seasons 1 and 2, it seemed more like the writers didn't really have a plan for the character anymore, so they just threw him cheating on his wife last minute. What was in season 1 possessed by a kryptonian? Then season 2 cheating really a downfall for the character

    The writing is incredible. Relatable characters, realistic flaws (superhero/supervillain shenanigans notwithstanding), and where some shows might take it in a darker direction, the characters model healthy ways to deal with emotional and relational problems.
    This is a show about families that happens to have Superman in it.

    Parents must understand that their actions have consequences, not just for themselves, but for their children as well. And children of divorce are going to be especially volatile, which is to be expected when the normalcy they grew up with suddenly gets shattered in ways nobody prepared them for. That's why I'm glad to see Kyle did not try to excuse or downplay his own role in how all this came about; he took responsibility, like a GROWN-UP is supposed to do. And in his own taking responsibility, he's helping his ex-wife and daughter to take responsibility for their own negatives as well.

    I got to say Kyle is definitely dad of the year. And this is the most messed up harsh reality I’ve ever seen when it comes to marriage or just relationships period.
    It doesn’t matter how good of a father you are, even how good of a husband you are. For whatever reason she doesn’t want you anymore your wife or your significant other. The title doesn’t matter the actions do. You’re forever an outsider. Spending weekends with your children instead of every single day with them. That’s not fair. I find Kyle‘s story very interesting. He started off really as a pathetic loser not gonna lie. Wallowing in self-pity. He lost his wife he lost certain connection with his children. And in doing so, he became the best version of himself ever. This show is amazing. Cuz a lot of the themes behind it are real.

      I don't know if it was ever explained why Kyle cheated on Lana. In this case, it was his fault that the marriage ended. Some men are victims of divorce after they did everything right. Unfortunately, love isn't always enough to survive for a marriage to survive after an affair.

      And you say it's "not fair" that the dude who cheats on his wife and has a job that requires at the LEAST the majority of an entire day away from his home doesn't get custody for 5 days a week of two minor children?

    Sarah shouldn’t have said what she said to Lana, but Lana shouldn’t have slapped her. Teenagers normally get into arguments with their parents, it’s 100% normal, but parents shouldn’t act out and hurt their children like that either. And when they do, it can cut deeper than any words said, because it’s a physical reaction and because the kid can be very hurt, not physically but emotionally and mentally, from that. Sure, some parents spank their kids as punishment for their actions, but a slap to the face is very different, especially if it’s made in anger. Lana knows this because of her abusive upbringing, which is why she felt horrible about it because she felt like it was the first step toward becoming the mom she had, which she NEVER wants either of her daughters to experience

      It is not okay. You aren’t disciplining anything. You are just assaulting someone which could normally have you charged and arrested. Beating children because they bruised your precious ego is bad parenting. Act like the adult you claim to be. You aren’t going to teach kids how to deal with conflict, which will happen in life, by beating them when they are in conflict with you.

      @ryantony7743 День тому

      @birdiewolf3497 she blamed her own mother for her father's adultery. The trauma of that sort of betrayal is already really severe, then to hear your own child blame you for it?? @@ryantony7743 It was an ugly thing for Sarah to do, but again using violence as a way deal with hurt feelings is not the answer. Nor does it even teach your child what they did was wrong and disgusting. I mean Lana hit her and what happened after the fact? It all became about how sarah was slapped. All hitting people does is satisfy your bruised ego. I’m not saying that to trivialize the bruised ego, because some people can really dig into where it hurts. But is hitting people going to make it go away? Is it going to make it hurt less? No. You are just using violence as a means to establish power and control over another person because you feel weak and vulnerable. It hurts Lana’s feelings and the only thing Lana could do to hurt her kid back was to slap her. That’s not how to resolve your issues or deal with pain. It’s not about if Sarah ‘deserves’ the slap. It is about effective parenting. Hitting children doesn’t teach them what you want them to know. You are not teaching them what is appropriate things to say when in conflict or recognizing when they’ve crossed the line and hit below the belt and what to do when they have done that. You just beat them.
