Any community that practice the deen more or hold fast to the deen are the Somalis community. My good friend growing up in college was Somali and he got me praying and observing the deen.

I'm Somali, married to Bengali. My husband and I discussed this topic at great length. He admires that divorce and remarrying is not difficult for Somali women, but I also think divorce is a bit too common, and I like that his culture avoids it as much as possible. We need a middle ground.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. It has become far too common. There are a lot of issues we are facing & unfortunately here in the west we have adopted an attitude towards marriage that is quite alien to the way our parents viewed marriage historically. We need the patience & resilence that our parents demonstrated. If there's children involved- this can have a negative impact . Not always but it can - some of our sisters raising children on their own are doing an amazing job Alhamdulilah. Divorce in my opinion really should be the last resort.

@@n.m.9121 I think it's unfortunate that some Somalis especially those living in the diaspora make it a priority to still focus on tribal rivalry. There is a time & place for those conversations. Our children should be the focus & Allah knows we have a mammoth task on our hands. We are losing our boys especially to knife crime, prison, etc. We need to be more focused & face the challenges ahead of us. I believe we can do it Insh'Allah but it has to be a collective effort.

@@lancer4709 no Muslim community can set another community within it straight, when it's tribal culture is prevailing in its attitude in addition to the external adopted attitudes they have in the west that are inspired by external Hollywood behaviour we witness from some. The other community or any other community would distance themselves from needing to deal with a culture they don't understand their language or thinking. It's a nice thought though.
@@lancer4709 in my city most of the population of Somalis don't reside where most of the Muslim population is they have their own areas alongside the Sudanese, with higher crime rates, home invasions, and just generally unacceptable behaviour for any middle eastern majority area, they'd get weeded out pretty quick by the Lebanese gangs real fast. It's very sad subhanallah all the conditions of the communities as a whole tbh
