My wife and I just found your you tube site. We wanted to see what you thought of the different restaurants. Your thoughts of fine dinning and ours is different. But, you bring the good and least favorable of each. We like fine dinning and as world travelers we have enjoyed each country that we have lived in. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Yeah we definitely say that these are our opinions and others will have different opinions but we aren’t too familiar/big on fine dining as much as regular dining. However, it is so cool that you have been all over the world and tried other places! Thanks for watching us!
Whoohooo!! Glad you love Eden Abbey as much as I do! And glad you mentioned my Trivia night, thanks so much. Have binge watched your content over the last month. Keep up the great work!
Here would be our summary: the one in Sanford will be all about the experience. It’s such a fun experience with great theming. The one in Mount Dora is more traditional and relaxed. Both are great spots!
@ Thanks! I live in the historic district of Sanford, and before I was assigned here as the pastor of historic All Souls, we would come once or twice a year for Hollerbach’s. We have recently discovered Mount Dora and have eaten at Pisces Rising and Jeremiah’s. But the German and Italian places are definitely on our list for keto cheat days!
Oh fun! Sorry for the delay. Parking is very tricky, depending on what festivals are happening. Two places you can look at are the parking spots by Evans Park/lawn bowling area, or if you drive on farther down, there is parking by the boardwalk! Hope you have fun!
We visited Mt Dora on Tuesday. Took Rusty Anchor to Dora Canal ate at Back Porch Pizza then ice cream at Scoops. No problem finding parking. Mt Dora is a gem. Never expected to find quaint little town and rolling hills in Florida!
Thanks for the info! Very informative. My wife and I are going to Mt. Dora for the first time in a week or two. We’re planning on lunch at Goblin Market. I have a feeling we will be visiting there often, based on all the great restaurants!
Thank you for your content, exactly what we needed when we moved to Eustis a year ago. I'm sure it is a lot of effort and money, it is appreciated. We've tried several of your places and have enjoyed them. Not sure if you've ever tried 5th Avenue Streatery in Mount Dora, it is very good, only outdoor seating, old gas station, but food is home cooked, and excellent. They don't have a freezer, so it's always fresh.
Thank you for the kind comment! We appreciate it! It’s a lot of work and money but if we can be helpful to others, then that’s a win! We sure have tried it and enjoyed it! Such a cool atmosphere! We did a review video on it. Would recommend checking it out! Thank you!
Frog and Monkey! We dropped by there the other night. That Black and Bleu burger was perfect! Thanks for all the great local recommendations. We live in Eustis and love to use your videos as suggestions for places we haven't tried.
We do like the Frog and Monkey because they do have amazing burgers! It is definitely hard to just pick 5 spots. We appreciate the views and all the support!
I can agree with virtually everything you say, but you left out a few that my wife and I hit at least once a month or more.... Copacabana for Cuban; Asian Wave for Sushi; Mavis Jerk Shack for Island food; Tony's Chowder House for excellent seafood & Highland Cafe for the best breakfast in town (albeit on Highland near Eden Abbey)
We have been to many of those and they are good! With the top five list, we were trying to keep it as short as possible. We have been wanting to try the Tony’s but haven’t been able to make it out there yet. Thanks for adding some more restaurants!
Like your vlogs and appreciation y’all’s opinions, but it’s odd how you ranked your restaurants in this particular vlog.. you’re ranking by price? Not sure that’s a fair critique. You should let your viewers/listeners decide on that. They already saw all the contenders. Also are you basing your pricing on just dinner? Some of these restaurants serve lunch and breakfast. So your audience can try these great restaurants during another timeframe. Sooo I feel you’re doing a dis-service to a TRUE top 5 list of your picks basing it off of price only. (IMO)
Thanks for the opinion! The good news about it being our top 5 is we can rank them however we want to and that’s what we did. We didn’t do it just on price. We had other factors as well. But again, we said that it was our top 5 and that is how we feel. And for the most part, it was a list of the top restaurants we have been to in Mount Dora. Everyone will have a different top five and will like different restaurants and that is totally fine with us! We have these videos as helpful videos for those that are looking at eating somewhere in Mount Dora. Thanks for watching!
I agree. I may have mis-heard, but it sounded to me that they both agreed that Goblin was the best in town but did not make the top 5 because of the cost. Fair enough. The Goblin is pricy. My sense is that they prefer mid-priced meals with entertainment.
You might want to consider assigning each restaurant to a category in the future. Example: Best restaurants for a special meal. Obviously Globin Market and 1921 would be there. I was sad to hear you say how great the Goblin was but it did not make your list simply because of the cost. Or maybe I misunderstood the criteria you are using. To get into the top 5 was there a maximum cost limit? Everyone wants to eat where the food is awesome, the service is great and the ambiance inviting. But everyone, well, almost everyone, has a budget. Some restaurants are more expensive than others. The real issue is whether or not the extra cost garners extra value. Final comment. It sounded like you liked Fiesta Grande but preferred El Mezcal because Fiesta Grande had multiple locations. Surely you know that the Baker Street location was the first for the family-owned restaurant? And that thier success there encouraged them to open 3 other restaurants in Central Florida? Should FG be penalized for success?
All we are going to say is we clarified multiple times that this is our top 5 and others will and can have other opinions. We do appreciate you watching!

Thank you guys, for sharing this, God bless
You are welcome!
If you were to compare the German restaurant in Mount Dora to Hollerbach’s in Sanford, which would you recommend more?
Here would be our summary: the one in Sanford will be all about the experience. It’s such a fun experience with great theming. The one in Mount Dora is more traditional and relaxed. Both are great spots!

Planning on coming to Mt Dora at end of February to take grandkids on boat ride to Dora Canal.
Any suggestions on where to park?
Thanks !

Great Video. Thank you for the suggestions. Our daughter loves going to Mt. Dora when she visit from Delaware.
Thanks! Oh cool! We hope you enjoy going and that you find some good spots to eat!
Good suggestions! Love to see you guys in person.
Thanks so much!

Another good restaurant is Whiskey Kitchen! You guys went there and really liked it! 😊
You are right! It was great and we want to try the breakfast!
Goblin Market is my all time favorite. Lunch is a bit more cost effective for many people.
Need to try lunch sometime so we can go at a little more cheaper rate!
