A photon finish, brilliant 😂
It is more interesting than F1 in 2023
@@ZERDOR404and number 5 having technical DNF. Poor Vettel
love it, about to comment the same… would’ve had the top comment had i seen this 2 weeks ago 😂😉
“No fair! You changed the outcome by measuring it!”
Futurama?
@@elPiCOdeBry0I wouldn’t know if it’s a futurama reference but it’s how thermodynamics work I’m pretty sure. If not that specific it’s a part of physics regardless
@@elPiCOdeBry0it's actually a reference to quantum physics, by measuring a photon you technically move it and so it changes positions
@wizzotizzo it's a Futurama reference
@@bowiemtlit is a Futurama reference
I'm impressed how unphased they were by the spherical aberrations!
Hey sir can you explain to me what you just said 😊
@@The-Diplomats_Desk he makes a pretty good (imo) pun of "phase", a core atribute of waves, with the word "unfazed" (meaning _not surprised or worried_ ). Spherical aberation are stuff light reflects on or refracts in that have spherical spaces, in this case the lenses. When a wave, like a light wave, interacts with an aberation the time phase (the most commonly used type of phase in electro-dynamics (the field of science all about electro-magnetic fields and waves, the latter including visible light)) will generally shift
loved this comment 😂
Good one 😂
@@jezusbloodienot only your opinion, that is some physics joke gold right there
What an incredible animation!
Thats humor for a special kind of people. The sort if people I like.
This was more entertaining than most shorts people make to be honest.
It is actually the first short video I have seen that is interesting ever. It''s bs tiktoklike dance videos and stupidity that people are making .
@@franksemi_modular unless you're newly into shorts, that says more about you and how the Algorithm sees you interact with that than it says about the content 😂
(but if you are new some tips:
- don't comment on stuff you don't want to see,
- don't give that stuff more than a 100% view time, the less the better
- if you leave the app when watching something, that counts as a heavy negative, the algo wants to keep you in the app,
- seethe, like me, that youtube recently removed the "don't recommend this channel" from the shorts' three dots menu. That was by far the best solution to get rid of stuff in the feed that one didn't minx to never see again
)
@@jezusbloodie Thanks for the info :-) I do have a pretty good idea about those things, but when it comes to Shorts I found that it is not the same as with normal videos. But perhaps cuz I havnt watched many shorts it is exectly like that :-) And trust me, I always leave thumbs down on useless stuff 😀
@@franksemi_modular exactly, the more you watch the more it will be shaped for your interests. Shaping and taking care of ones algorithms has become an important aspect of digital hygiene on many services. The true ways by what metrics your interest is weighted by this youtube algorithm remains mysterious and ever changing. View time and interaction seems to be the best guess. I wonder how much the thumbdown does, on one hand one may or may not get less of it in algo, who knows?, on the other hand youtube definitely counts that as engagement and that will probably somehow only help the video do better in general
But if I may give some advice, maybe best to forget the "shorts" tab exists before it does, because once one's Algo starts aligning it may become highly addictive. 😅
Nice beard, btw
if your expectations are high, it also means your a huge consumer of shorts.. it also means you don't have a job, life or wife and kids. there are more I can learn only by reading one comment. So be honest about it, am I rite?
I like to draw attention to the track designer who used bi convex transformers, this gives an unfair disadvantage to the high aperture photons.
Amazing
I like optics very much, your are only one on UA-cam uploading optics content thankyou very much.
Properly the only short video I have seen so far on TY that is interesting 👍👍
such a smart way to demonstrate phenomenons
my congratulations on reaching a new level
I need more of this in my life
Thank you
This is wonderful!
Amazing. I love it.
That's why I#m into physics and technical UA-cam
I love racing and Motorsport . I love physics. This is my most favourite thing
Love it! Great visials!
Request: A simulation showing that even if the light's phase speed is faster than C in the medium, morse code pulses through the medium couldn't be transmitted faster than C (which would violate causality).
Depends on observation. If you observe light in terms of phase, this is equivalent to comparing the peak of the wave with another wave that does not pass through the lens, or you are watching it over time.
If you observe it from a spatial perspective such as velocity and wavelength, you will see that its wavelength decreases and the speed of light decreases. This does not cause the energy of the wave to change because E = h.Co/lambda. (Co is the speed of light in the lens).
How would a metamaterial with a negative velocity appear?
c in medium does not matter for causality only lorentz transform c matters
Top tier content. This is real youtube
I love this😭😭😭♥️
Light speed sports and I'm down with this!!!🎉🎉🎉
bright future of the photon 5 was sealed forever
Went to your other shorts to find more😢😢😢😢pleeeeease make more haha
This is the new idooser? Holy crap I was hypnotised for a second 😂
I have a feeling this is gonna be huge someday
Love it.
This is hilarious AND brilliant
Love this
Lights out and there they go! With golf commentary
Okay... that was strangely satisfying.
I tried this with my boss. He asked me to work on the weekend, so I told him I am travelling to Australia. He told me that doesn't make sense because we live in Australia and he needs the work done by Monday.
Why was this the most pleasing and funny commenting I ever saw?😂
Never thought I'd laugh that hard at the end🤣🤣
This is, in my opinion, one of the most brilliant and entertaining shorts on youtube. 😂😂😂😂
You do the voice well
this is definitely asmr
What the f*** did I watch ?!?
I LOVE it ! ROFL
Nice. Video and wonder
This is TOO awesome!! 🤣👏👍👊
I love that
This qualifies as a quantum finish. Gonna have to review the electron microscope for this one...
Mom: Stop bullying your light.
Me: Mooom... It's just photography.
Love it
The 5th one left the lobby out of shame.
I would have thought they would quickly form a single coherent field from 6 in phase emitters
Great 👍
Wonderful!! Now I wonder how this race would work with a Bessel beam? That would be excellent to be seen.
This is great
Are there any programs which you can define the curves of a lens and them it tells you what the maximum viewing distance is?
You could use the layout drawings of any optical design software and copy that to Photoshop.
@@HuygensOptics photoshop? I mean, if you had a specific order of lenses, what the result should be, rather than me sit there and stick them in one after the other and hope for the best 😂
@@HuygensOptics thanks though!
Well you could use Zemax or Oslo, but Zemax is very expensive. Oslo maybe has a free version. But in the current simulation, l just used Photoshop with spherical surfaces and changed the refractive index to match the desired focal length.
@@HuygensOptics I didn't know that was possible using photoshop🙈 I'll have to look into it further, thanks
I love it
Very interesting ! Could you do this with white light and a diffraction grid as well ?
I have no idea what I just watched. But it was entertaining
Omg this is hilarious!!
Nice
Nice one :D
What software is this?! This is great
Dammit, i put my money into Pi...it was irracional
Brilliant 😂
we fight this when aligning our lasers 😎🙏🏽
What software did you use for that? Great animation!
See the video description for links.
"Gonna watch the ray racing today?"
"Did you mean ray tra-"
"No"
What program did you use for this? Is there a program where I can make lenses and simulate stuff like that?
Fun ...!!
can you simulate 6 microwave magnetrons doing the same also what is the lens based on sapphire lens?
Why is the information speed in the lenses less than c?
That is not the case for nr. 5..😃
When does Ray Ray start singing?
Reminds me of light.
Are these phtond interfering with eachother before hitting any lens? Please do the same with lasers.
This is with coherent radiation similar to laser light.
Software?
Hate it when the hole clogs up.
No fair! You changed the outcome by measuring it!
Funny!
Particulate and waveform mater am i right?
Horse race analogies, the winner is most stable.
Hilarious adventure
But... The fifth was lit at the start... So.. When... How... HOW
"Brilliant"
What software is this?!
It's fantastic that you shut down one source and the figure stays the same except for one beam. That's really really weird. I would have expected all beams to be mixed together.
The process of wave interference is actually linear. So if you were to subtract the wave pattern of 5 apertures from the one with 6, what you get is the wave pattern of just a single aperture.
@@HuygensOptics Yes I get that but I would have expected all "beams" to be mixed together given the distance from the source. The amplitude of other regions does not seem to be influenced by turning off one source. There might be a way to encode information through interference ( I'm sure it already exists)
Wait I thought I was watching finding nemo?
my mind vaguely remembers something called fermats principle of least time, and am wondering if this is something about that?
In reality, it is impossible to have a continuous and regular series of sine waves like this.
Definitely sucks when your hole gets blocked up...
I dont know what this was but it was cool as heck and I want to mess around with whatever this software is but get the feeling it costs more than a new car.
It's free, check out the video description.
David Attenborough … is that you?👍
A championship at 299 792 458 m / s.
I cannot talk that fast.
how do i get people like you in my life ❤
Channeling your inner Ze Frank?
Imagine doing math on this simulation by hand 😅
What software is this?
See video description.
And now say it in Project Farms voice!
Come on, you're messing them up by observing them.
10/10, or 5/6 rather
wow
Nerds!
Software plzz???????
See description.
What just happened?
I'm colour blind...
The hail?
😊sweet and lol
I really don't get the point. I'm glad some people found it entertaining, but I wasn't one of them.
Wtf did I just watch
😊😂😂👍 🐈 🎉
