You are overthinking the whole Frank seeds thing. Charlie is having genuine heartwarming moments with his actual dad while Frank is obnoxious, vile and even has blood gushing out of his mouth. It contrasts what his life could have been versus what it actually became, living with Frank.

@@Matty80822 I don't think so, he didn't even pay attention to Charlie and didn't know what was happening. He only realized it at the very end of the episode.

There is a fan theory, that Charlie isn't actually dyslexic, but wrote and read gaelic early because of the correspondence with Shelly and thus couldn't make sense of written english.

it ruined the show for me well the mac finds his pride episode was t he start of this shows downfall they should of stopped at season 12 plus this guy was way better in Stargate Atlantis.
Nothing to make sense of with Dennis, he has Covid, and tried to murder Dee. Perfectly Dennis thing to do!
Charlie's dad is Colm Meaney, best know for his role as Miles O'Brian in Star Trek The Next Generation, and Deep Space Nine.

Not a fan of getting a definitive answer to Charlies parentage. We get some good stuff from it but I don't think spoiling the ambiguity was worth it.
I don’t think there’s anything significant about the seed itself. I think liked all the weird quirkiness of Frank when he thought he was his dad; but now that he knows he’s not his dad, he just finds all of it annoying.
I’m Irish. We don’t call it the boonies that’s American. Some city people call living in the country side “living in the sticks” in Ireland
As an American, I think I have heard that phrase, but not very often.

I remember the promos to season 1 as a kid, watched from day 1 as a kid to now, all the irish episodes make me so happy, for the most part. But out of the last handful of seasons i love this episode the best! Dennis coughing is one of the most hilarious things ive ever seen, charlie finding his dad was actually amazing, frank is just frank, simply amazing but u can see him losing his way without charlie, mac is one of my fav characters but he slowed the episode down bad on this one
Surprised Dennis could sleep next to Dee that long without calling her a bird.
Watching frank be frank and Charlie realizing he’s not franks biological child and breaking from him is heartbreaking. Frank saying good night is one of the saddest scenes…. Until the next episode

Anybody can get away with killing any of these people. All of Philadelphia probably hates them. Also nobody to notice when they arent around anymore. If Dee suddenly disappeared, nobody would notice, even the gang wouldnt care and they are the closest people to here.
I hate this episode for one reason. Charlie being ashamed of what he has been living with for 15 years (Lets not forget he fought to keep Frank in his life multiple times.) Its just seemed weird choice to have the weirdest character in the show start looking down on things that have been making the show work all these years. They really wanted that emmy because it was all baiting for that in the Ireland episodes.
Every time he refers to Ireland as “Europe” 💔🤐
