She looked disappointed and asked me again to fetch her. I didn’t. Mid-semester, she said she had a job interview and asked me what she should wear. I told her to dress “business formal,” which she made me explain from top to bottom. She was absent the next class, but came in after the other students had left, dressed to the nines and impeccably made up. She asked what I thought; I said her choice was excellent. I thought that was it, but she came over to my desk and sat on it, about 18” from me and asked me to ask her some questions she might get during her job interview. I did the best I could, then told her I had somewhere I needed to be and excused myself. Thought I could make my exit, but she asked me to walk her to her car as it was getting dark. I couldn’t say no, and of course her car was parked on the other side of the campus. Finally she got into her car and I turned and started walking back to my car, breathing a sigh of relief. Too soon. She drove up beside me, said she felt bad that I had to walk all the way back and offered to drive me back. So, I hopped in hoping she didn’t make any detours. Happily she didn’t because by now the tension was nearly unbearable. Made it to my car, thanked her, got into my car and locked the door. Just to be safe. Typical semester. Nothing improper ever happened. I am an oak.

I'm older now, and looking back I feel these clues are mostly pointless. None of them ever happened to me except for one time. I went to Merrill Lynch (NYC) to do a few days of freelance graphics work. A thin brunette was assigned to work with me. I don't recall how she was dressed, but on the second day she was somewhat overdressed in some sort of spanish flamenco style dress and with a huge number of jangling silver bracelets. I later surmised that maybe she was trying to dress up for me (although I would have never guessed this at the time) because her boss walked by and jokingly commented to her on suddenly changing her appearance. Then at the end of the day she made an odd comment about having to walk in the dark to the subway, seemingly implying that she would feel safer to be escorted. I didn't take the hint. Anyway, like all my other stories, "nothing happened". She wasn't my type, and if anything the fancy dress and jewelry seemed out of place and actually I found them slightly annoying. Had I found her more attractive, perhaps I would have taken the hints. Anyway, my point is that in this case the signs were rather evident, but I never experienced any other overt signs like this from women.

Hey Joy. This happened to me once and I got the impression this girl wasn’t just hitting on me, she wanted me. I was on vacation with my wife on a cruise. We are in our late 50s early 60s. I’m retired firefighter paramedic. The couple we ran into was a young Asian couple in their 30s. The woman was a doctor. They sat with us at our table every meal the entire cruise. Even if we switched tables they would find us. The woman would always sit next to me and talk up a storm. One night she offered me a taste of her dessert on her fork. I politely turned her down knowing it was completely inappropriate especially in front of her husband and my wife to be sharing a utensil. We may as well be tongue wrestling. My wife was so upset she wanted me to not sit next to the woman anymore, so I obliged and sat across from her the last couple of nights. It was weird to me because, again, it was the first time a woman was staring at me in a deep and almost loving way. I'm older now, and looking back I feel these clues are mostly pointless. None of them ever happened to me except for one time. I went to Merrill Lynch (NYC) to do a few days of freelance graphics work. A thin brunette was assigned to work with me. I don't recall how she was dressed, but on the second day she was somewhat overdressed in some sort of spanish flamenco style dress and with a huge number of jangling silver bracelets. I later surmised that maybe she was trying to dress up for me (although I would have never guessed this at the time) because her boss walked by and jokingly commented to her on suddenly changing her appearance. Then at the end of the day she made an odd comment about having to walk in the dark to the subway, seemingly implying that she would feel safer to be escorted. I didn't take the hint. Anyway, like all my other stories, "nothing happened". She wasn't my type, and if anything the fancy dress and jewelry seemed out of place and actually I found them slightly annoying. Had I found her more attractive, perhaps I would have taken the hints. Anyway, my point is that in this case the signs were rather evident, but I never experienced any other overt signs like this from women.
Lots of signs women give are just friendly, it’s still up to the guy to ask her out. If you want to be sure and approach to ask the woman out then obviously find out if she’s single first!, look for obvious signs like rings on her finger, and maybe find out through someone who knows her if she’s single, that might give a guy a bit more comfortable and confident to ask a woman out. There’s lots of signs that a woman is just friendly. It’s mostly about confidence and being comfortable and just getting to know her a bit more then ask her out after a few chats. I’ve tried to ask one woman out before because she was being super flirty with a lot of guys in a office environment including me but she was like no I’m busy kind of thing one day or the next day so….. it’s not that easy to tell if a woman likes you and just wants to be friends or friendly and wants to go out a few times to see if you both are good for each as bf, gf. So now I generally won’t approach a woman who is being super flirty with every guy. Good tips tho, like your content

Hey Joy. This happened to me once and I got the impression this girl wasn’t just hitting on me, she wanted me. I was on vacation with my wife on a cruise. We are in our late 50s early 60s. I’m retired firefighter paramedic. The couple we ran into was a young Asian couple in their 30s. The woman was a doctor. They sat with us at our table every meal the entire cruise. Even if we switched tables they would find us. The woman would always sit next to me and talk up a storm. One night she offered me a taste of her dessert on her fork. I politely turned her down knowing it was completely inappropriate especially in front of her husband and my wife to be sharing a utensil. We may as well be tongue wrestling. My wife was so upset she wanted me to not sit next to the woman anymore, so I obliged and sat across from her the last couple of nights. I don’t think she was just trying to make her husband jealous, or my wife jealous, because she said derogatory things about him and ignored her. Am I correct in believing she wasn’t just being friendly, not just being flirtatious, but was acting seductively?

per my boss.....when the pno worker is leaving to go home, she childishly stands up and waves at him. Then one day, instead of parking her car a few cars away from his, she parked her car next to his...this happened often. while on her lunch break, HE would hang out in the lobby as to wait for someone. Then, he would go into the kitchen where she is and hang out ( a males version is he KNOWS he got her as his temp-gf) Also he often hangs out after work....waiting nearby her car (stalking??) Now....she does not talk to me much or emails me back......reason, he may have told her that I dont talk to him ever (harassment rule in the co notebook) and I know for a legit fact that he IS a "womanizer" or playboy (I have saved txt messages from him). So SHE is taking his side and now hates the sight of me :(((. Thats ok though because when the husband arrives in town to "settle in"......all of this will STOP.
What do you do when a woman brings up their boyfriend but also puts out all these signals? Just today a woman I work with and am interested in worked overtime. Our times coincided where it was just the two of us. She looked extra good. Different style of dress and very pretty. We're close and have shared a lot. I know there is something there but every so often she'll mention her boyfriend. I keep distant because I'm not sure how she really feels.
Keep the distance if there's another guy in the picture. You don't want to be involved in that drama.
I'm in a similar situation. She teases me a lot, casually touches me in the arm/ shoulders, and laughs at my comments even when I'm not really trying to sound funny or witty... I've never had this experience with women before, it's almost surreal. They usually ignore, reject or treat me as a friend.
Oh, and the other day as we were having a conversation she was looking at my face in a kind of hypnotic way. I swear, it was like she was under a magic spell or something... I had to break the moment by asking her if my hair or forehead had something wrong. She snapped out of it (like when you are daydreaming and all of the sudden you wake up in the real world). It was weird to me because, again, it was the first time a woman was staring at me in a deep and almost loving way.
But it is not possible to have something with her because she also talks a lot about her boyfriend. This is the worst thing: she doesn't speak in a possitive way about him. It's like she's annoyed by the reminder that she's already in a relationship. That's messed up.
I love the attention and this new feeling of getting these looks, but at the same time I am aware of the existence of the other guy and I don't want to be the second option and ruin the things between them.
It's hard to ignore her advances but I must deflect them if I want to be at peace. As much as she gets me hard I must force my will and mind my own business.

Now, there is another sign that a woman is attracted to you that is not discussed on this list. It's kinda weird and strange but this is my personal experience. Sometimes there are women that I will be introduced to or meet either at work or a party and she won't pay me any heed and will totally ignore me. She won't even look at me for that matter. I usually will act like I don't care also, like I don't give an "F" and not pay her attention. But over the course of time she will go all Jekyll and Hyde on me and start to give me lingering glances and looks and smiles and start talking to me and before I know it, I have her number and a date. This even works in my workplace, where a new female employ will not give me the time of day for a few days and then, whamo! We're going our for lunch together in our lunch break. I wish to stress that whenever this happens, I know in my gut that she really is attracted to me. This has happened several times in my life.
For the most part, none of these things ever happen.
