I have done everything you show me, it doesn't work at all, it says only select copy, nothing else not working for me

Now that is pretty slick. I know there are a lot of great plugins you can buy for Blender, but I'm struggling with wanting to buy all of these awesome plugins even if I don't necessarily have something I want to immediately apply it to. I'm about to buy some of your assets so I can start creating more detailed renders. I've been slowly building up my role play "warehouse garage with racecars" and I add new vehicles when I create them, add lifts, tools, etc. I struggle with lighting and camera settings, so I'm going to buy some of your assets and practice that way. I've been using Blender for about a month now and I've watched your videos along with others this whole time. I love the excitement you bring to your videos. I can't believe how I've gone from almost giving up Blender because I couldn't figure out how to efficiently move my camera to modding cars for video games, and slowly turning different visions in my head into a render I can share. I'm obviously not perfect and it takes me a lot longer than it should to do some things (clicking each edge versus using alt click), and I still struggle with a lot of things... but I invite everyone to get into 3d modeling if they've ever had the urge to.

Have bought this and it seems great - One major issue is that it creates copies not instances so if you realize the original needs tweaking the copies won't update - you'll have to (somehow) delete the copies rejig the original and redo it. As long as you're not too far down the line Ctrl Z will work I guess.. there needs to be an instants option so everything is updated maybe?

seem a little like the tissue addon that come with blender, but you can do it per face with more control. Also you should do a video on the Tissue addon that comes with blender, it's a pretty amazing tool.

I like it. Even though it has limitations, I would use it a lot to save time.

Is there a way to do this in Blender without the addon??

There are various ways to achieve this; Tissue modifier, instances on faces and geometry nodes to name but a few. However none are as simple and convenient as this.

@@3enny3oy ... Well those things won't work like it. I used tissue and even though you can use it similarly. You can't just apply tissue to a few selected faces. It does the whole object. I know you can duplicate the faces, snap them into the desired location. Then "Merge by Distance"... this will remove the face and get rid of duplicate vertex. Its still more tedious to do 4 or 5 duplications.

This guy's addons are very cool, well thinking and done, and that also makes some works a easier.
I like an his addon...which retopologizes live the mesh, fast, I dont remember the name... which is still in development, but is promising.
But now I would like him (and other programmers in their creatures) focus his efforts on his main addon (Grid Modeler) with adding ''sub addon '' to make the meshes soft, to create more curved, smooth, shaded surfaces, such as car fuselages and its panels and details.
I know it's difficult and usually an addon only does one specific thing. But a programmer/artist is the only one can have skill and genius for realize this.
The 3D shapes that you can create with Grid Modeler (+now Mesh Copier subaddon) are pretty crude, even if detailed. Perhaps he will find a way to add bevel and smooth to where and how much it is needed. Anyway, is very easy pleasant and funny to use.
The world out there is full of addons and programs to model hardsurface objects that are inscribed in parallelepipeds and cylinders...photocopiers, science fiction boxes, mech parts, freezer, ecc. ALL planar objects, basically, to which is added bevel. ...But hardsurface is also the sheet metal of a helicopter, and the hull of a ship. I think in this moment the offer it is very poor in addons and software to control curved surfaces in an NEW original innovative and FASTER way. Almost all addons focus on one type of work...neglecting curved shapes.
