    Also one of my Furchs is maple body, stellar, clear ringing, spruce top GA. Maple's not in the current line (it would make it to this video if it was, trust me) unless you order it custom made.. Everybody NEEDS at least one maple instrument! It's been the go to wood for many centuries. It's sustainable, traditional, gorgeous looking, clean sounding thru PA. Bring maple back! Maple forever!

    Glad to see Furch getting the attention they deserve! I have a G22CR-C (Yellow equivalent) I bought in 2013 that I will never sell. One of the best guitars I've ever owned or heard- Tony is right about the cedar/rosewood combo. I also bought a G22ASM-C (adirondack/mahogany) a few years ago that I ended up giving to my daughter- also a lovely guitar. I just purchased a Vintage 3 D-SR that blows me away- it really is an absolute cannon and the finish and workmanship is perfect. Huge Furch fan here!

    Furch knows tone! I have a dread with sitka and walnut that rings on, and on.... Their 2 7/32" saddle spacing is my favorite! Along with the their rounder than Martin fretboard radius with nice frets taboot! The 25.6" longer scale is a welcome treat for fingering voicing and variable genres.

    Got a Green OMc-SR back in May and have been playing this beauty almost every day since. Hard to put down once you strum a chord, magnificent. I did compare it to a few Martins and Taylors they had in the shop which were in way higher price classes and honestly, they couldn't come close to the Furch one. Hey Tony, thanks again for another entertaining and informative Acoustic Tuesday. I really enjoyed the segment on Furch guitars I was impressed with how good the less expensive guitars sound. When I was in the market for a new guitar I almost bought a Furch but the dealer was a big turn off they were less than friendly so I went another direction (J-45). On another happier note, pun intended if you haven't already you should check out an acoustic group out of Italy called 40 fingers. I think you and your audience would enjoy listening to them. I own a Little Jane. Sounds amazing! 12" wide - what!? But, it sounds incredible. I own the nice Martins (3-10k), an amazing Olson, high end Lowden, Larrivee... but the Little Jane is seriously my daily go to. Who knew a tiny 12x17.5 body could put out this sound! Oh, the backpack case sucks. It will crack if you don't get a Hardcase.

    • @blessedwithchallenges9917
      @blessedwithchallenges9917 7 місяців тому +1

      @@danherrick5785 yes. I have numerous parlors. This is better thsn all of them. Including Martin's Dread Junior, Taylor's Big Baby, Journey's Overhead, and 1920's Martin 2-17, and various 1800's and early 1900's Ditsons and Bay States, Gibson's L1. It is by far the best in tone and full size "feel" than all of those. Even the CE0-7, which i had high hopes for. You would think I'm a Furch salesman or something. This is my only Furch. I've always been a Martin guy - and still am... i haven't had or tried Lowden's Wee One. I wish i could...but the Lowden sound and chunky feel haven't met my style of quality, even on high end models. Yet, the Wee One has great reviews, so I'm still interested. But this Furch Little Jane has been a huge blessing. I just spent most of the day playing at an outdoor coffee shop in Guatape, Colombia. People thanked me and appreciated my music. Of course that's nice. I even got free parking because the owner liked it so much. All of it on this little Furch. And mine had a huge crack down the side that i had cleated - probably 10 inches. So it's not even in perfect shape. Oh, it took me a bit to get familiar with the tuners (out of tune every couple songs!). Then I realized i could tighten them with a little screwdriver and now it stays in tune all week - huge relief. And the strings at the bridge are sort of installed like a classical guitar - which, when taken apart is sometimes annoying to keep in (you'd have to just do it do understand). I avoid taking it down because of that annoyance. Ok, sorry for the long winded response, but if you're at all like mw and other guitar freaks i know, all of this could be valuable info. you could appreciate.
