I think this might be the perfect video to show anyone who thinks vegan food is "boring". All this stuff looks 100x better than anything animal product based I ever ate!
As a vegan, I agree. I wish these restaurants would expand to San Francisco and southern cities like Redwood City or Palo Alto. Instead, a few vegan restaurants in SF closed down. 😂
Appreciate the video, really well done and informative but some people can use the 20 minutes, here is the sauce guys: -Chaumont vegan -Nic's on beverly -Pura vita -Margo's -Mama's tamales -Spotless Burgers -Monty's Burgers -Ladurée -Vegan Exchange Market (only Sundays)
Aww thank you so much Darby!! 🥰 makes my day to hear this. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and got value out of it. Hoping you get to try all the yummy vegan food soon! And please let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to see 😀
Update for Mama's Tamales: I personally wouldn't recommend ordering the vegan cheese with loroco, the loroco was too strong and I wish the "cheese" flavor and texture came through more for bean and "cheese" option. I had these a second time and the bean and cheese were good :) . Definitely a solid effort and worth trying if you've never had vegan Salvadoran food
@@ratedvfood, I want to go again soon, I will try all the places you went to. I was there in 2019 and was impressed with all the Vegan options they had in California. I wanted to go to San Diego in March. My dream is to travel someday just like you and try all the Vegan food! Your video was so much fun to watch!
@@Rose-kp4ow aww thank you! 🤗 I really hope you get to travel a lot soon too! There were so many pasta options I wanted to try so hope you get to try them also !
so glad you made it to "pura vita". that place is amazing! next time please try "araya's place", the best vegan thai in the world (just down the street from nic's). and also "stuff i eat" a vegan soul food restaurant in inglewood. chef babette is a treat. oh! and "sho-jin" vegan sushi is definitely worth a peep in downtown LA about a mile from "au lac" also worth a visit but the ambience is lacking.
Aw man I can't wait to go back to LA to try the places I didn't get to try last time! :D There's an Araya's Place in Seattle ! I've tried it and loved it!
What a fun food journey in such an epic area! And no, oily food is NOT appetizing anymore, LOL. Cheers, Eunice! I'd also be curious to more SE Asian stuff like Burmese, Sri Lankan, etc, if you see those.
Thank you. I stopped eating meat about 4 1/2 months ago. Of course I want to go to your first choice, the Chaumont Vegan Bakery. That chocolate croissant looks scrumptious. Thank you for sharing.
The pizza restaurant that invented the Detroit style pizza is Buddy's. They have a restaurant in Ann Arbor, about 10 minutes from my home. But when I've tried their vegan pizza, I've been truly repelled: hard to call it food! So to think that a superior vegan Detroit style pizza is made so far from home is comforting, especially for his California native!
Wish this popped up last week the day before I went to LA 😂😳😩, I did a "vegan sin", I had a day stopover in LA on the way home from Thailand, my *first time in LA as a vegan... and I... slept in my hotel (that nap turned into 9 hours 😩) and ordered Veggie Grill for delivery 😂🫣🫣🫣 (got overwhelmed with the options and the LA infrastructure and didn't plan anything until I got there 🤦♀️, also didn't help I was dressed in Thai-weather clothes in December in LA 😂🤦♀️), I should've at least hit up one neighborhood such as Beverly Hills or Santa Monica 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️, but now this video has convinced me to go back on a planned trip this time 😏 (and split up the neighborhoods by days). Did you stay somewhere central to easily access all of the grub? 🤔 Everything seems so spread out there! Also have you checked out DTLA? Curious to know your opinions of the food in general in that area if you have... Also those croissants look banging 😩, and I'm surprised that's a LightLife(sp?) patty... 😳 *(Okay on a positive note and for transparency, on my layover on the way to Thailand, I did have time to leave the airport and go to Pura Vita, it's a 30 minute bus ride right on the airport's bus line 💃)
My biggest problems with LA are 1.I live too far away 2. When I come for a vacation I won’t have nearly enough time to eat at all these delicious vegan places
Thank you for sharing! I'm familiar with Pain au chocolate as the chocolate croissant form but I later found out that it was pan suisse for the think chocolate bread haha
God, you are amazing, and your videos are perfectly made, your energy and passion for food is very inspiring. I would love to do the same some day. I wish you to have more likes and subscribers because you deserve it 💚
Awesome video! This gave us so much inspo for our Vegan Sister Lifestyle and Adventure UA-cam Channel! We definitely want to try all of these spots and would love if you checked out our channel too! 💕💕💕
I'm dumb. Please tell me once again, all the egg, beef, shrimp, ham and cheese shown in the video was a plant based taste-matching substitute, not the real thing. If all of it is vegan, these guys have invented a dozen entirely new cuisines.
we have GOT to expand vegan food globally. it's bound to happen 💚
NYC Eleven Madison Park 💯 plant based. 🪴

Fantastic Vegan food tour!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for your support in watching. Do you have a place you would really want to try now?
I’m so overwhelmed by the number of areas in LA. All the food looks amazing. I’ll need to look at a good place to base myself for a holiday!
Yes!! and we barely made a dent for all the places haha there’s tons more to try!
This video is amazing! I love your upbeat personality and passion for good vegan food! Thanks for all the great recs!

Oh my goodness, so many good places to try! I don't know how I missed most of these places after two years here...
Yes there's soo many!! I barely made a dent hahah but hope you get to try some of these soon.
The name of the chocolate pastry you got from the French patisserie is called "Pain Suisse" (Swiss bread)
Can’t wait for this!! I plan on maybe traveling to LA this summer!
Yes you totally should!! There was even more food we didn’t get yo try lol
Wow! You’re making me hungry! I’m trying vegan in 2023. Great video, very informative. I’m really looking forward to vegan lifestyle.
So happy to hear that!! Happy the video helped

Yesss thank you! There’s wayyyyyy more vegan options in the video
My favorite restaurant in LA is a place called Sugar Taco. Literally crave that all the time!!
Ooo man I haven’t tried that place either !!
You're sunshine personified 🌞
Aww thank you! 😄
WOW super cool video!!! I am definitely trying these places out ASAP ! Maybe even this weekend !!
YESSS! Omg you will have to tell me which place you like best. If anything for sure the Vegan Street Fair and Chaumont!
I'm so jealous 😫 All that food looked so good! Thanks for sharing ❤

I’m not vegan… but I feel guilty when looking at the animals….are those vegan food expensive??? I’m poor
haha most food is pretty expensive now but I would say each dish averaged to what most food in LA costs $15-$20 a plate
Spotless burger appears to be closed noooooo
Nooooooo! 😭 sorry to hear that I think they have another location?!
I'm dumb. Please tell me once again, all the egg, beef, shrimp, ham and cheese shown in the video was a plant based taste-matching substitute, not the real thing.

Am vegetarian but the degree of exaggeration of pricing speaks for itself of vegan foods....for me its just exploitation
I'm loving your channel, but damn, when you pronounce words with an accent you say it SO fast and I have zero clue what you're saying.
Stay away from beyond n impossible patties 🤢🤢
I don’t mind them
How is this vegan
They just substitute the dairy crap with non dairy butters or egg subs....vegan ham
