What I don't understand: Normally it is said that Ogyen trinle was already enthroned in Khalek monastery as Tulku and spent many month there. Here he says he was just an ordinary child... Can somebody explain this? Thanks
I don't understand how a "Karmapa" can say that he considers a retreat to be selfish. And says he has not much meditation experience. (English: at 28: 23 min) All Karmapas started to meditate spontaneously in young age and said themselves they were the Karmapa. Ogyen Trinley says he and his family were completely surprised when he was recognized as Karmapa in the age of 7. How comes?
well i am just listening this teachingi if you want to know more i advise you to read the Prophecies of karmapa written by Sylvia Wong i think you can get it via Internet AMAZON i m french and read the french Translation and from this book i have no doubt- this book is an expertise so you will know ... I met 40 years ago the 16Karmapa in France and become Buddhist with the 16 Karmapa and for 25 years i di'not know what to think about the controversy of the 2 karmapas So now it is clear for me
