      That's a truly marvelous compliment, Peter! Flowers are tremendously therapeutic and they have the power to heal, console, and bring peace in challenging situations. Leanne loves to share floral design with you and Flower School Live offers that opportunity to do so every week. Thank you very much for joining us today and we look forward to seeing you again whenever you find the time. Wishing you a bright and merry week in all that you do!

      We are delighted to share them with you, Tammy! When you can use more foliage and be more flexible with your flower choices, you can still thrive during this time of fluctuations in availability of materials. We are so happy you stopped by to join us today and hope that we'll see you very soon for more Flower School Live with Leanne. Wishing you peace and flowers this weekend!

    What an interesting and informative show. Just loved it!!! Learnt so many things once again, & will be on hand for next weeks show to learn some more. Love & thank you all for what you do, & although I usually end up watching the replay, I would never miss one, because there's always something to learn & you smiling faces/voices just make my day.

      We love your smiling face and lovely comments too, Jannie! It's always a treat when we can have you on Flower School Live, but we understand that sometimes it has to be on replay and that's just fine too. Thank you so much for joining us for this show and we hope you had a good time with Leanne and the Tulips. We'll look for you next week and hopefully catch up with you then. Wishing you a marvelous week and hope you enjoying flowers whenever you can!

    Leanne, I would love to attend your school. That's if I was in the USA, I'm in Canada.
    About 35 years ago, I graduated from a home floral school. The Lifetime Florist School. They sent me lesson to do at home, which I did and sent back to be graded. It was great fun. But, it's not like when you can see the teacher demonstrate and participate with others.
    And I would say that you are a great teacher. Enjoy your videos.
    Thank you so much.

      We would love to have you join us, Claudette! Over the years we have had several students from Canada study with us, both on-line and in-person at our school in Portland, Oregon. If an opportunity comes for you to visit us in-person, we would be delighted to host you here and would welcome your presence in the classroom. In fact you can find more information about our 2022 courses here: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/classes.html Thank you very much for stopping by today to share Flower School Live with us and we invite you to join us again soon whenever you have the time. P.S. Not sure what time zone you are in, but you can be part of the Live broadcast on Wednesdays at 3:00 pm Pacific Time and ask questions of Leanne and the FDI teachers during the show. Best wishes to you!

Hopefully we'll see you again on Flower School, maybe today at 3:00 pm Pacific Time or on replay? It was lovely to have you visit and we look forward to the next time as well. Best wishes to you!

    Great work.👍
    It will be very interesting ... , if you show an arrangement ....😂😂😂 ... , with only using manipulated foliage.... I am really interested in such a concept....

      That's a superb idea and would be very interesting, Anu! We will add it to our list of suggestions for future shows and see if we can put something together around that concept. We're so glad you could join us to get ready for the holidays and watch Leanne create such beautiful designs. We hope to see you soon and thank you very much for taking time to watch our show!

    What is the brand of paint you used? I love this idea for blooms that need help.

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 роки тому +1

      That's an excellent question, Violet! It's craft paint from any arts and crafts supply store, and that's what Leanne used to tip her roses in color before adding glitter. We were so happy to see you on Flower School Live yesterday and we look forward to having you join us again and at Flower School when you are ready to do so. If you have any questions, feel free to let us know. You can give us a call at 503-223-8089 or e-mail us at rose@floraldesigninstitute.com. Wishing you the very best in all that you do and thank you for visiting us and sharing floral design too!

    I just wanted to ask do you store and keep your flowers once cleaned in plastic or glass containers? Thank you for your educational and supporting lessons and videos. So grateful fo you💚

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 роки тому +1

      That's an excellent question, Nives! For flowers that are stored in the cooler, we usually use clean plastic buckets to hold them. We generally use vases to to store them when we are in the studio for Flower School Live. We're so glad you could join us for this show and we always enjoy seeing you on the live broadcast when you can make it. Thank you for dropping in to visit today and we look forward to seeing you soon. Best wishes for an awesome week!

      @@FlowerSchool you’re so amazing, thank you. Plastic is easier to handle, but we also keep ours in glass vases… boy, do they break easily… (and a lot)… I so enjoy your videos and your beautiful approach. Thank you again for your answer and time 💚

    What foliages need to be in water and which ones can be stored in cooler without water source?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 роки тому

      That's an excellent question, Chris! Most foliages want a little moisture, but if you give them that in the form of a hydration chamber, they will last a long time. Leanne has shared a couple of videos about caring for foliage that you might find interesting and you can find them here: ua-cam.com/video/F95udJ0xYfM/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/lR9NKvC5mrA/v-deo.html Hope this helps! We hope you will join us again soon and thank you for watching our show. Have a pleasant weekend with flowers!

    Just curious ...what paint did you use when you dipped the tip?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 роки тому +1

      That's an excellent question, Sparrows Nest Flower Shop! Leanne use liquid craft paint that you can get at any craft store. She dipped the tips of the flower in the paint and then sprinkled glitter on it as well to really gild the rose. It's a great way to go but we do suggest that you experiment with it first to see how it works for you. Thank you so much for taking time to watch our show today. We hope it was fun for you and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Wishing you joy and flowers each and every day!
