Why I think that if a Tall Guy Car Reviews (if you know who I am talking about, as he seems to know nothing about cars) came to such a meet with his 'claimed 1000hp' hellcat , he would have gotten smoked. Car is no longer running though, and he says he doesn't race.
WHen they say car hasn't been dynoed, I understand that they mean they can't say exact hp, but how do you rebuild engine with racing internals, put a huge forced induction system of whatever type, so don't you need a dyno to adjust the mapping. Like ignition advance and knock, torque and hp curve, rich/poor mixture etc. I found it strange to spend 5 figure digits on tuning your car, and not go to a have a custom map on the dyno. Maybe there are kits, where with the hardware they sell you, they include the ECU software update, so it pre-configured for the components, but every car is different. You should tune it on a dyno.
I remember back in the days early 90’s we will hear about a car has 225hp and we be like holy shit but now it’s a whole another world we live in. Amount of hp putting out its amazing. Who would of thought wagons could be killer car. Taking out super cars too.
