    I just tried the Comix 2B. It is a nice pencil.

    Making a list of future pencils I want to try out, will add these to it, also looking at the Tombow Mono 100, Dragonfly, Faber Castell 9000 series and the Uni Penmanship pencils (at £5.73 for a pack of 3 they are close to the cost of the Blackwings per pencil).
    Took a couple of the 602's I bought into work and gave one to a friend there, he gets it now as to why these pencils are said to be so good - he could not believe how little effort is required writing with a quality pencil. Spent all day using mine for my main writing implement (where I can get away with pencil anyway, for some things pens a necessity unfortunately).
    Also received the short Koh-I-Noor 2mm clutch pencils by post today, they are much smaller than expected and a lot better quality for both build and writing than expected for the price.
    Help, I may be becoming addicted...

    you should review the Mitsubishi Pencil 9850 HB. I just ordered it right now :D I'm exited!! The reviews says it's good but I want to know where it stands among other pencils from an expert. I love your stuff! Thanks.

      The Mitsubishi 9850 HB is great for sketching because of its smooth quality. I also have the Tombow 8900 but the grade is HB to create fine lines and also has its smooth quality I used mainly in my first draft before applying darker values.

    what ruler are you using there?

    You usually draw your pencil's datasheets on squared paper. I heard that in the UK prefer to write and draw on lined paper, is it true?

    • @WoodGraphite
      @WoodGraphite  8 років тому

      Depends on what for, lined paper is used for mathematics and engineering while lined paper is for prose, notes and other wordy topics. Is it different in Russia?

    • @nechto5032
      @nechto5032 8 років тому +1

      +Wood & Graphite I think that in Russia is the same situation, but squared 5*5mm paper is most preferable for any purposes.

    I can't help myself becoming more interested in the ruler you are using over the pencil you are reviewing, soz fam. But do you mind telling me where I could potentially get one with similar size as the one you are using in the video?

    • @WoodGraphite
      @WoodGraphite  8 років тому

      Haha, not the first person to eye up that ruler, it's a miniature engineer's scale ruler. I got mine in the UK in WHSmith for about £2

      Wood & Graphite wow. You replied really fast. I actually was searching for this video again after watching a couple of your other reviews that I saw someone else ask the same question as me. But thanks alot anyways. Im still kind of stunned at how fast you replied.

      +ichsan Adam Sure thing! I actually have a pack of different grades. I'm no artist, but my girlfriend in, I'll get her to draw something and answer a few questions on it

    • @Korone-sama
      @Korone-sama 8 років тому +1

      Thanks that would be really great because i'm really confuse on choosing faber castell or the steadtler mars lumograph 100 for my drawing because my friends has different opinion about it :-D

      I also have a question why did you cover the pencil with a piece of paper before you sharpen it (sorry if i ask to many question)

    • @WoodGraphite
      @WoodGraphite  8 років тому +1

      ichsan Adam You can never ask too many questions! The paper (it's a post it note) protects the pencil from the jaws of the sharpener. The clip digs into the wood and leave little marks if you don't. Some people don't mind, but I prefer my pencils smooth and pristine!

    7 hex only? I would have thought it at least an 8.

    • @WoodGraphite
      @WoodGraphite  8 років тому +1

      It's a great pencil, but I have to be strict on my personal ratings. This is an excellent pencil, but the Blackwing 602 got 8 and this isn't quite as nice, so it has to be a 7. Besides, the ratings are just my thoughts, it's all subjective.
