I love watching Leo and Jim interacting. It's warms the heart.
They have a very rare & beautiful relationship that cannot exist in the wild populations of grizzly bears. Even bears raised in captivity don't always behave as beautifully as Leo does. He's a rare gem. It's easy to see he has strong feelings for Him, which makes him a very unique & very special bear.
It's such a tragedy Timothy Treadwell didn't meet Jim & Leo. An interaction with those two may have saved his life, as he may have respected Jim's advice not to continue doing what he was doing in the way he was doing it. Timothy may have learned to have more respect for the wild bears with which he was interfering. He may have learned a lot from Leo about his own outrageous behaviour toward the wild bears. Sadly, he didn't have the good fortune to meet Jim & Leo.

Imagine trusting a bear that size to stand behind you and trust that he's not going to grip you up by the back of your neck. What a beautiful relationship. They love each other so much, it's clear to see

@Kenneth Thompson Yes, respect and trust. Animals trust you much more if you're always kind to them, and therefore bond with you better and will much less likely attack you. Those Eleflix elephant sanctuary videos are a prime example of that, those elephants are gentle giants, are very friendly, and bond very well with the staff there, and why? Because the staff is always kind to them and have won their trust.
However, wild elephants will much more likely attack a person who gets near them because those elephants have likely not received much kindness from people, they aren't so familiar with them, they've probably dealt with poachers who killed their family or herd members and have tried shooting them too, and they therefore see people as threats and immediately go into attack mode. The sanctuary elephants don't do such a thing because they are very comfortable and familiar with people because people are always being kind to them

I wish I had known about your wildlife center while I was in St Petersburg Russia a few years ago. I would have visited. St Petersburg is a beautiful city, I went to The Hermitage museum and watched the swan Lake ballet but I don't remember the place where we saw the ballet.

@@GAVACHO5150 I believe Leo is a Syrian Brown Bear. He weighs 900 lbs and Jimbo weighed 1400 lbs. Beautiful animal.
@@GAVACHO5150 You’re welcome. They have a few other Syrians too. And one of their female bears is a Kodiak. Their website lists the bears and what kind they are…or it did unless they’ve changed it. I’m really worried about Frankie. There hasn’t been an update in a few days.
