I watched the match, and yes some of the plays were bizarre lol. The 4th moon going down caught my attention, promoting the Greninja, not attacking earlier. The Archaludon player got away with murder trying to set up the Dialga play, fell so far behind lol.
@@RahulReddy Don't worry, If I had just qualified for the literal World Championships by winning a small 64 player event, I'd be wanting all the constructive criticism I can get. (Instead, the biggest accomplishment I've gotten was a top 8 in a 17 player retro event. Doesn't compare. It was actually my first Pokémon tournament ever, though, and for a format I had invested many hours into learning and practicing, so it still felt super rewarding.) Edit: OH. I forgot. This wasn't one of those 64 player tournaments. (Okay, I MAAAAY have been off by give or take 5,000 people, but go easy on me.)
As an Archaludon player myself, he had everything he needed to Star Chronos in that turn and he just let his Dialga die for no reason. I am...so confused watching this
As an ancient box player I agree with pretty much everything you said. Don’t waste pal pad, aggressively pokestop to mitigate the power of iono, don’t waste dark patch, don’t play pech unneeded because you always end late game with extra balls in deck, and NEVER over bench because that can be 10 damage in discard. You can in fear of an iono like a capsule (on a moon for god sake) but never four moon unless someone is using multiple split damage tactic. Edit: I can at least recognize not using pech turn 1 because it’s a possible 3 prize star chronos target
The crazy thing about this is about 14 minutes into the video here, the Arch player is already down by 2 prizes and benches the Fez as a huge liability. Yet we know he wins. WHY lmao
First time watching one of your videos, and I can tell why you’re first in CP. very knowledgeable, I feel like I learned a lot just from hearing you speak about the game!
I told you at the first live of this championship you did , ancient box will dominate and you said nooo 😂 he was able to win so easy but okay ancient goes rly good and i❤love it, thanks for the videos keep it up
Will say I dont know how to feel about budew, I know itll most likely be in every deck but, I will miss the days of my lugia V and my lost box when format ends
I understand your commentary over misplays is necessary but your frustration detracts from the video itself. I’d rather just watch the video without your commentary tbh
I wouldn't say that at all, that's straight up disrespectful with Japan winning not one but TWO majors this season in the west and putting players in T4 of ICs consistently. Just like any region the average player will make mistakes and making a comment like this is not a great look. In a Best of 1 format anyone can win because of variance and these players have played 8 rounds of swiss that day plus T16 cut. So respectfully I disagree with your statement

The way you get increasingly mad over them making bad misplays is so funny 😭
I get just as mad at myself if I make mistakes 😭

6:20 LMAO I LOVE THAT
“We’re gonna Blender, thin the deck, make sure this Gear hits, oh we’re gonna Gear, okay cool. 🤨”
This video is what I needed cause now I'm gonna look over my shoulder when I'm play testing 😅
I guess the hesitancy to Pokestop was the fear of deck out? They seemed to be sort of playing with that in mind

Appreciate it! I try to get the viewers to think critically about the game.
You could tell me both of these players are 0-3 playing it out and i would have believed you WHAT is going on in this match 😭
Whats the dialga deck?
Nah this game is wild af
WHAT DID I JUST WATCH

Thank you!
aoba johsai shirt goes hard
Great video
The Dialga player is playing so sub optimally. I don't understand it.
😂😂😂😂

You can do that, just go to the Japanese stream or put me on mute. No one is asking you to watch this video
You’re fair in being wrong
Skill issue
Japan's quality of play is very low lol, an average player at an American regional is as good as someone in finals

@@RahulReddy Plus, with best of ones, they play super cautious because they don't have the flexibility we have with making mistakes.
i agree. the best of the best in japan are really good of course but the average player is worse than the average player in the west.
@ I guess I am more or less shocked by the final, feels like this game in particular was low quality for sure
