Mildura/Buronga - VIC/NSW - Murray River Floods 2022
Join us as we check out the floodwaters around town and see how much they have come up in the past few days.
Today we head out and take a look and revisit the Buronga Caravan Park and under the George Chaffey Bridge on the NSW side, then head over to the VIC side as well where the floodwater from the Mildura Marina is now flowing through to Nowingi Place.
We take a walk around Nowingi Place and Playground, Water Park for Play, as well the check out the Mildura Weir and Lock 11.
We'll be posting updates and keeping an eye on the river levels around town every few days from various locations, and we eagerly wait to see how high the waters end up getting.

Slowly but surely, with more to come. The storm over the past few days explosive and the rain came bucketing down. River rises from Mannum down stream now becoming more significant. Watching what's happening upstream gives us a better indication of what's to come down stream. Time for a waterslide! Keep shining 👏😎✝️💖🕊️

Thanks for another great update.
I spoke to my daughter today, she resides in Mildura, and she advised me the yabbies are rising from out of the flooded river because of the amount of tannin now evident in the waters, then that a lot of the river shrimp are found dead at the rising water's edge, just another product of the rising water levels in the old Murray river.
How about the Baldwin homestead where the then-new house was built some 30 or so years ago, has it been inundated by the rising river levels?
Yep, they sure are, we spotted a dead Murray Cod today. 😢
We are going to head down to that area in tomorrow's flood update, will be interesting to see how high the water is there 👍👍

Love the updates, how are the tennis courts near the lock?
Sunraysia Daily has pictures of it being flooded but think that is due to the rainstorm they had.
The Article stated the courts will be under for months meaning the Pro Tour event won't happen.
Remembered when the courts flooded sometime in the 70's and a guy (Council Worker from memory) saw some splashing on the court, wandered over and picked up a Cod weighing around 25kg. It was stated that it had a tennis ball stuck in its mouth.
Lawn tennis courts will flood by a better and half is the prediction.
But ok now. Tennis on this weekend .
