My husband gets very irritated when people compare Dharma to the religions of the world. He says, Dharma is something that occurs naturally... like the dharma of water is to flow. Which makes absolute sense, and no sense at all 😃😃 Love from Turkey ❤️❤️

    Sanātan Eternal
    Dharm. Righteousness
    Dharm Duty
    Dharm Upholding
Sanātan Dharm is about being Righteous and is about doing our Duty of ‘doing the right thing’
However, One has to ensure that while he needs to be righteous, he should not be stupid
An example of what not to be is Bhism/Dron/Karn
In MahāBhārat, all above 3 guys were good righteous people. But they ended up using Dharm to bind themselves.
On the other hand, Lord Krushn applied the concepts of Righteousness to protect Dharm

It is because of invasion and colonization. Britishers completely captured education and finished gurukuls where dharma was taught. Even our unfortunately parents doesn't knew much about it apart from rituals and festivals and they don't even care to about it. They are in the race of making docs, engineers.

Sanatana Dharma and Abrahamic religions share the same belief : When a person is alive, it’s because the soul is inside the body and when this person dies the soul leaves the body. So the question is : « Where does the soul go ? » Sanatana Dharma and Abrahamic religions don’t give the same answer. Today more and more people don’t ask any longer the question « where does the soul go ? » because they don’t believe any longer in the existence of souls. They think life is simply a consequence of laws of physics when some conditions are met . So they need neither Sanatana Dharma nor Abrahamic religions.

In India, most of the hindhu people follow Sanathana Dharma....even without knowing.... like every mother loves her own kids without knowing what is love. Even animals also do the same. What you expect may not be explained by common people but we follow it. If anyone expect answers about it, needs to discuss with the subject experts. Like somay dharmic teachers are there in India, like Sri Sri Ravishankar. Even after so many invasions, hindhus follow Dharma. But I appreciate your conclusion that everyone needs to understand and explore. Lot of knowledge is stolen and spoiled, by invaders and British colonial period. Hindhus still teaching to the world like yoga, ayurved, etc...

It is part of life, values, festival s, rituals, lifestyle etc.
However one thing is true as said by Esther Dhanraj in another citti video:
      1) there is no formal education on hindu philosphies. We have six broad darshanas , every family may have this or that but noone even those in 50 or 70 s age group have had any formal education on them.
      2) Hindus don't help each other which leads to contact conversion by christianity.

Well, there is an another side. Many who do know what Sanatan Dharma is, What their true culture is; don't come forward.

In the land of institutions left by Great Aacharyas like Madhwacharya, Ramanujacharya, Shankaracharya; ALL of which are alive and flourishing - we Hindus turn to the 'experts' like Preity Upala and 'The Festival of Bharat' to facilitate their 'knowledge'. What a sham! Go, see the youtube channels of great Mathas instead of this facade of 'real culture'

People while doing public appearances should have decent dress code. To meet dignitaries or Even to meet pope or a swamiji there is dress code. Flaunting american type of dressing doesnt go well with the topic.

This video is totally useless. On one side, she says that Indians do not know what Dharma is. And then she does not really explain what Sanatan Dharma is. I guess Sanatan Dharma literally means Eternal Path. But really what it is. If it is HINDU DHARMA--- IT IS INDIAN DHARMA, not an eternal dharma for others who are not Indians. All this verbal jungle, nothing else.
