- Hi everyone, so this is the start of our Norwegian Prima series.
We are off to Norway and Iceland and this is our 1st time cruising with NCL so we are pretty excited to see what they are like and to experience The Prima.
We will be bringing you lots of content of the ship as well as vlogs from Norway and Iceland.
In this video we embark the Ship and experience our 1st day on board and just try to get grips with the way NCL works and try some of the delicious food in the Indulge food hall & the Hudson MDR.

Love NCL. Once you get used to the way freestyle cruising works then its very enjoyable. Starting our 10th cruise with them in two days from Southampton on the Getaway. Can't wait.

The 2 NCL ships we signed up for, 90s and 2005, were dumpy and one we canceled because it was running on 2 of 4 engines. It was skipping ports and the stops it made were too brief to do any tours. It looks like they have improved their services.

Great vlog as usual. Cruised on Ventura during boat show , we arrived at westqueys car park and signs saying car park full so panicked !!!!!! . Risked it and found spot on Level 11 but very busy. Great spot to park for all terminals.

Sail away party is usually by the pool, but on the larger ships of NCL can be in the Spice H2O area.
Hi Stacey and Kev. I love how excited you sound when you see the ships. I'm the same way. It's a shame the weather didn't cooperate. Glad they could do the sail away on deck. Yes, always take anything for free 😉 Both lunch and dinner looked great. Happy to hear your dinner was so good. Dining on NCL is "free style". So you basically go to eat when you want, except for specialty dining. Can't wait to see the rest of this trip. Thank you for all the hard work you do in these videos. ❤❤

My wife and I like NCL. Pay a visit to Cagneys, we have 2-3 visits per cruise, Only down side is your final bill at the end off the cruise. Enjoy the experience.
This is where it's clear it's the case that it depends on what you personally like doing as we've had the lowest final bills at the end of our two NCL cruises compared to other cruise lines. This was mainly due to the Free at Sea package which cost us 149 Euros each - our final bar bill for our 10-day Greek Island cruise was $21 and that was only due to us taking a bottle of wine to our cabin one evening. We also got visits to two speciality restaurants fully paid, 150 mins each of Wi-Fi plus some shore excursion credit as part of that Free at Sea deal.

Sounds like an amazing cruise, Stacey and Kev. We'd love to go to Iceland! Looks like a lovely ship too, and it wonderful to have all the dining options open as you first come on. Especially on a rainy day! Yes, this American is well aware of the weather over there. 😁😁You could still wear some Disney Ears. They most likely wouldn't through you overboard! All the food looked wonderful, but would love the included steak. Yes, Kev. With the apple pie! 🤣🤣Dinner there every night! I like the idea about just turning up and not having to spend half our time in the cabin trying to figure out haw to make an app work. Again another great price! We don't drink alcohol either. Looking forward to more! Thanks for bringing us along.

We have done 1 NCL cruise and we also said yep, its different. We are usually Princess cruisers. It was good in general. NCL Breakaway - Saw the shows, they were pretty good. Then only mutual statement we have to say is that it is noisy in certain areas and that a bit intrusive. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next clip.

Great Video! I hope to someday do a similar cruise. Iceland is a wonderful place! I was stationed there for 2 years 2003 - 2005 when the U.S and NATO had a base there. Thanks for all the footage!

Haha what can we say, years of saving and having no kids who depend on us, we have managed to be in a fortunate position to spend time doing something we love which is travel. Enjoying it while we can as we may not be doing this forever 😁👍

Hi Kevin and Stacey, just watched your latest video, a lovely looking ship and fantastic interior. It's going to be interesting to see your views, as there seems to be a lot of mixed messages from people who have traveled on her. I suspect the food content is going to be excellent 😀. Interested to hear your views Kev & Stacy as I am currently on the second week on board Check in was a dream walked from Southampton central (10-15 min) and sat down for lunch in Hudsons within a half hour of leaving the station Only ever had to wait once at the MDR as you say just turn up tends to get busier as the night goes on Enjoyed majority of food in Hudsons service also You did well with the price of your holiday😊

Fyi. We are on MSc Euribia in a couple of weeks. After previously watching your videos we intended to park at the shopping centre but it got withdrawn being advertised from the website. The wife emailed them a few weeks back and said they were stopping doing it so we booked elsewhere. But it looked ok for you both!
Have just checked their website and can't see anything where they say no long term parking allowed. Was fine for us , put the ticket in at the end and nothing flagged up that it had been there 2 weeks lol. They happily took the money 🤣

Was hoping to do the Med cruise into a transatlantic on Prima later this year (probably soon now if I was going).

I love NCL. Went to Mexico on the Bliss and Alaska on the Jewel - both were great

The golf was free when we cruised because hole 2 was closed and this was 3 months ago 😂

Don't know if u already know but west Quay have stopped allowing long term parking apparently.
Oh right I mean we parked there ok. Just checked their website and there is nothing in the parking section about this. You have to use that carpark if stopping at the Premier Inn next door so what happens if you stop there for a week. Will just check their website to see if they state the new changes whenever we go again. If not we'll still park there. Where did you read about it?

We've just rang the Premier Inn and asked them if they know anything about it and they said anyone can stay at the West quay car park for a long stay regardless of whether they are stopping at the hotel or not .They said its the west quay podium carpark (which ever one that is lol) that is not allowing long stay. Was gonna say surely they put it on their website to update people if you can't park there or how do they expect peope to know 😁

Loving your Vlogs as always. Really want to go on Prima, but whenever I look on the NCL website, none of them are Southampton round trips - they end in Iceland! How and where did you find a round trip?
Thanks Chris and yes it's really annoying. We nearly didn't end up going on as there were no round trips, then we spotted a few weeks before that there was 1 fortnight where they had a Southampton round trip so we booked it quick. Not sure if it's the same again next year?

Cruised from Southampton many times but have never parked in the west quays car park.
Got two cruises booked early next year Euribia and sky princess.
Will defo be booking west quays.
Can you drop luggage your luggage off at all the cruise terminals before parking the car.
You've got some fantastic cruises coming up 👍. I think you can do it for all terminals yes. We did for the Horizon, we didn't for the Ocean terminal as we didn't at this point know that you could for any of them until people told us you could. It's definitely a lot easier 👍

Yes, just first time cruising with NCL and all crusie lines work differently, after a full day on the ship we got to grips with everything
You don't like enclosed spaces yet you get an inside cabin?
No no no. never ever ever would you get me in that coffin.
My whole reason for cruising is being to look outside, away from the other cruisers.
It's enclosed spaces and the fear of being trapped in them. I know with a cabin there is a door. Plus a cabin and a slide are 2 entirely different things. You have a few feet above you in a cabin where as a slide is confined. The condition is called cleithrophobia
