From the moment they arrive, they seem to be just doing another stop, but they soon find out the Merry is in no longer condition to sail, leading to Luffy vs Usopp, the saddest battle in the entire series, Robin turning herself into the world government to save the rest of the crew, everyone riding the Puffing Tom to Enies Lobby, Usopp going under Sogeking (Sniper King), shooting down the flag of the World government, each of the Straw Hats plus Franky having a major battle against the members of CP9, fucking Luffy vs Rob Lucci, them saying goodbye to the Going Merry once in for all in a heart breaking scene, and to end it all off, Franky and Iceburg build a new ship for the crew and recruit Franky and it ends everything off with Usopp and Luffy breaking into tears as they reunite not as friends, but as the Straw Hat family

Everything with Usopp and Robin was an emotional highpoint in the entire series. I still cry when I see the scene of Robin scream that she wants to live. Chills and tears everytime. Even though it’s not a sad kind of emotional Zoro’s sacrifice to Kuma was also one of the most emotional moments in the series.
Every time I hear this song is when everything is about to go down. The *Water 7 Arc* & *Ennis Lobby Arc* were amongst the best in the One Piece series in anime & manga.
Water 7 was great at the start, but one of my least fav plot points in any media is when the main characters are blamed for something they didnt do. Didnt last for so long but still. EL tho was pure hype at some parts. Each straw got a power up, and Luff got 2. Lucci was cool, six powers thing was nice. But for me top arc is Marineford purely because it felt more like a battle than ELobby raid did. Ford was brutal, people died, beloved characters also. In terms of emotion, Lobby takes the cake. I didnt find robins story that sad because mass destruction pasts dont get me, but still is was nice. Ace was ruined in mford. It didnt feel like a good sendoff, whereas robins rejoin did

One of my favorite arcs in terms of how loyal the Straw Hats are with their own. They knew they would be killed going up against Lucci and crew. They stayed anyway to save their friend Robin-chan. Not just Luffy stayed! They all fought!

To me what makes this the best One Piece opening is the animation. It's probably the best animation in an anime opening I've seen. Especially considering it's the first time people watching the anime get to see Gear Second.
This opening really gives the feeling that the straw hats are gonna successfully break into enies lobby and save Robin from the world government. This is also the theme that I imagine when Robin says she wants to live.

I randomly heard this on UA-cam music when I was listening to Believe not realizing the former was from One Piece. Now months later imagine how happy I was to find out that this was from One Piece when I got on to the Enies Lobby Arc!
The Water 7/Enies Lobby Arc is still, a decade and a half later, the peak of One Piece - in my opinion, the only time it's gotten nearly that good since then is Whole Cake Island. Not only that, but it's arguably one of the best arcs in shonen as a whole - right up there with the Pain Arc from Naruto, Soul Society Arc from Bleach, Chimera Ant Arc from HxH, Dark Tournament Arc from YYH, the Noah's Ark Arc from D.Gray-Man and (SPOILERS) the My Villain Academia Arc from MHA. What a masterpiece.
anyone wanting to watch one piece please it really is a masterpiece but beware when you're caught up the nostalgia you feel when listening to the past openings is truly heart warming but sad at the same time :'(
