I'm TeamIka on this - that cemetery would be an automatic deal breaker for me!!! I'm the complete opposite of Dem, I say sink all your money into your principle property and get something you really love. It'll still appreciate in value, you won't pay capital gains on it as you would with an income property when you do eventually resell, and you get to live in it yourself and enjoy it. I have live all my lifetime from childhood to graduate school across the street from a Catholic School and behind it was a18th century Cemetery are the war heroes buried there. It never bothered us one bit.we would walk out dogs through it all the time. The head stones wss so faded out u couldn't read the names... it didnt feel like a cemetery at all because the school was in front of it.. and my dad and family still lived im that same old 1907 house since the 1953 and cemetery still there.it dont bother us at all we still walk through it its just like a open field. ...everyone difference I hope she finds what she are looking for for both of you....so good luck. 👍👍

Number one is a no for me because I hate old houses, houses with "character" really meaning old or weird. Number 3 is a very nice house but the living room/kitchen is not it, too small for such a nice house and there are too many unnecessary walls. And being further from downtown, it's less incomes later. About the cemetary, I understand it can be a deal breaker for some people but it's really not that bad. It's not even that noticeable. I really love the house and its potential. I can't wait for another house hunting. Love you guys.

Y'all are back! 🎉💃🏽💃🏽House #1 feels claustrophobic. Omgosh house #2 you couldn't even pay me to live next to a cemetery, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I'm with Ika 100%, its a no go! I will say I loved the staging and the kitchen in that house. I loved house #3 especially the kitchen and the bathrooms but the layout's a bit weird and for the price and distance from downtown it has to tick all your needs for it to be worth it. Definately get a property that has a suite you can rent out to help out with the finances! So happy to see y'all on here again, missed yous! 😘😘

#1: I get what Ika means by open kitchen family room floor plan and that wasn’t it. The kitchen, while you could see into it, it wasn’t really open. It was cute though. #2: it did hit most of both of your “wants.” On the bright side, Ika at least you want have to worry about nosy neighbors. 😂😂😂But since Ika will never feel at peace living there, you probably shouldn’t push for this one. It’s just a future argument waiting to happens. LOL! #3 since neither of you is crazy about this one, for different reasons, then “nah...next!” Definitely not worth going outside your budget for it. My mom is a retired real estate agent so I found myself agreeing with everything Dem was saying since it's been drilled into my brain my whole life lol Except the open kitchen layout! Ika is right about that being a must
House 1- didn’t like how narrow and small the rooms where. And I agree, no kitchen in the basement is the deal breaker. House 2- I personally would never live with a cemetery a block away from me. Even tho their dead I believe spirits roam about and personally I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my outdoor space. The fact that the cemetery is there is probably the reason the house is under budget. House 3: absolution love! There’s a proper foyer and the kitchen is to die for. this is also the only house that had a formal living room and a family room. I don’t think living in the suburbs is that bad and may be worth compromising for a longer commute to downtown Toronto. If you’re looking to make money off property maybe secure a nice home for y’all to live in together and then later on buy an investment property you think would appreciate. You can rent it then flip it when you feel it’s a good time and the value has gone up. But yeah, keep looking guys! YOOOOO, that area house #2 is in is where my old church used to be. That large brown building behind Demetres' head at 6:52 is the church we were in, and I remember that empty spot across the street from that used to be a big elementary school. I do remember this area as a child, and yes there is a HUGE cemetery that stretches between 3 major streets. Oh, the nostalgia!!! :D

YOOOOO, that area house #2 is in is where my old church used to be. That large brown building behind Demetres' head at 6:52 is the church we were in, and I remember that empty spot across the street from that used to be a big elementary school. I do remember this area as a child, and yes there is a HUGE cemetery that stretches between 3 major streets. Oh, the nostalgia!!! :D

I'm Jamaican and I think you guys are so cute together. Forget the cemetery, no one cares here in the USA, my daughter buy's one with a cemetery close by, she doesn't let it bother her. And also whenever anything comes up for sale it's gone within a week.
