Round Dirt Tracks and Asphalt Ovals - Rural America's FUN place to be on most ANY weekend. Surplus school seating stands, friendly folk, hot dogs on the grill and at some time - an open Pit Tour. These last few builds are all about that. A swap out ot race cars on a foot square diorama will be a perfect way to rotate your builds and show off your cars. Cook up your own hot dogs, turn up your favorite music and go to the races - at home! Thanks, Chris
I agree with you 100%! I grew up going to the dirt tracks of east TN, mainly the old Atomic Speedway. Sadly it's no longer there. In the 70's, Atomic had the best hot dogs with chili, RC Cola too. Great car counts, fast racing. RIP Atomic Speedway.
Hey Chris, CONGRATULATIONS to you and your team on that bronze medal. My son was a Coxswain in high school and going to the boat races was a blast. We traveled all over Florida for the High School meets. ⚓⚓
Very cool! I have been getting into race car model kits recently and this Dodge Dart kit has piqued my interest, with one of my recent builds being the Asurada Rally. I like how these kits look very detailed without the bodies and its fun playing around with all the decals!
Hey Chris. Funny you build this kyt, I remember as a child Direct Connection offered a Sportsman car as a U-build. So you got a fullsize model car,, Everything included. Crazy.
Chris try honey and lemon in hot water for your throat, you can add aspirin for soreness as well if you wish. Old family cure all over here (Australia), most families have a version of it.
Congrats to your dragon boat racing team, and while this kit doesn't seem to have many parts, it looks very well detailed and seems to be a newer kit than some of the other racing cars you've built lately. The color scheme goes well with the Dodge L700 tractor and race car trailer you built recently, although I don't believe that truck ever came with this car.
Very nice build Chris that kit is fun I built the cushion version and yes the instructions are vague at best on the rear spoiler but it goes with the top in your build goes on the trunk if that makes sense
Great video Chris, you've done a good job on this one! I've got it on pre order. Also have the Valiant Scamp in the stash. Hopefully AMT/ Round 2 will release the Cushman Duster and the Petty Dart.
Very Nice Build👍 I have a Question did you do a build of the Revell 65 Chevy Stepside Pickup 2 'n 1 Skill level 4 ?? I saw where you did the AMT 60 chevy pickup But I am Doing the Revell one and would like to watch how you did the Revell one any help would be nice and appreciated Thank You in advance. Please give the link so I can watch it Thank You.
it does, the body looks like a dog snarling. I'm not far into this build yet but that looks like an excellent kit. So Chris, what do you think is the future of model cars? Mainly I'm wondering if there will continue to be basically two scales, 1:24 and 1:25. I personally like 1:24 scale simply because I'm older and the slightly larger scale makes it easier to see and thus detail. I just like the cars that come in 1:25th scale a lot. Like this one for example. Well it's probly my "ocd" messin wid me. hehe
How do you decide which panel line accent color to use? When is it black, and when is it gray? Is it the color it is applied against or how deep the panel line is? Really like your modeling and modeling skills and enthusiasm. Even though these are “quick” builds they actually reflect a great knowledge of your subject. Which had me explore other types of videos you present. Your videos provide a sense of calm. Please keep it up for everyone who views your videos.
How long do you let your paint set before continuing the build Chris? I love your videos.. Always fun to watch and I usually end up buying the model to build for myself.
Could have sworn that there is a magazine ad photo for that actual official car from Dodge for sportsmen that featured Dale Earnhardt when the program was new.
not earnhardt, #43, richard petty was driving for dodge at the time & drove one of these cars at least once. AMT's original line included one with petty decals, as well as a generic one. maybe more than one. don't think earnhardt ever went mopar!
Very nice build. As usual. I think the rear spoiler is placed correctly. The little bit that shows seems to match the build perfectly. But what do I know? 😊

Hey CHRIS, you do know back in these days, GREEN ",was a forbidden!! Love this kit, love your videos!
🏁 Those are always so fun to build!!!!! 🏁
Thanks for the video - also thanks for letting us see your problems, it helps us learn too.
Love the subject matter & I would buy this kit alone just for the decals! The leftovers would be perfect for other builds.
Awesome build Chris!

20 minutes between coats.
Overnight once I'm done painting the main colors.

Another great video! Any way to modify front right tire/suspension parts? Seems that tire is protruding more that typically seen with these cars.
How do you get your decals to release from the backing paper so easily?
Yes I always thought that these kit front end sits to high. Great Video Chris.
Where is the factory-stock version of this Dart, AMT?
Many of us don't build race cars or customs.
