This reminds me of a Shawn Evans effect that combined this principal with the "Pen Thru Anything" effect. The same bill was re-used in that one and it would only pass casual visual inspection. This one sounds like it will even pass tactile inspection. Thank you for the honest review.

When i first watched the instructional video I wasnt sure how I felt about it. Seemed a bit underwhelming but at the same time also kind of genius. Its a weird feeling I cant describe haha

A good sequence could be to do the effect first using a gimicked pen. Then do it again but now using Phoenix.

HI David, Thanks for the review. The performance looks good and I do like the Wow factor....Although, I like putting my Pens through suit ties, unfortunately not as many people wear ties as much as they used to wear them... so this could be good. Finding refills later always concerns me.

Edit: IF I decide to give the bill away, I have the spectator’s ungimmicked bill from the beginning to make a new phoenix bill.

Yup. Myself and seen several comments on facebook and the cafe of people who ordered this from T11 the day it was released, whose orders are still in Processing a week later.

Noticed two very quick - almost imperceptible, but not quite - breaks in his performance video as he's rubbing the "hole." I'm assuming that there was a short piece cut from the performance video you show that you get in its entirety with Phoenix?
BTW, pursuant to US Department of Treasury regs, mutilated US currency may be exchanged at face value if more than 50% of a note identifiable as US currency is present.

50 for 32 gimmicks seems steep. I wish there was more magic for polymer bills.

Not good, no borrowed bill. Ignition, you can borrow the bill, doesn't have to be crisp, you take out a key from your key chain, puncture a hole trough the bill, they see it, rip the key out of the bill, they see it, give the bill and key for inspection, no refills, key will last forever. Ignition is way better.
