The Snap Down movement he does in grapling situations is set up. The guy would allow to be taken down with ease on the first round to then Snap Down them when they try the takedown on later rounds.

You watch this and think, "hmm... is it a gimmick... is it real?" And then you watch his fight and realize: plenty of times he has used quick, light, unorthodox moves to worm his way out of trouble and into victory... plenty of times. And when you listen to his "You can make it back" speeches... it's clear to see that it's not some delusional "fighter's confidence" belief system, but a genuine demonstration of will and work.
And that is why so many people love this man. Because he is real, and he embodies the real effects positivity, will power, and work can muster. And... heck of fighter, too... someone that is easy to cheer for.

His mobility is very good: I wrestled in college, and one summer I trained strictly bboying (I used to compete) so I could do a showcase and judge a competition and I was 10x better at wrestling when I came back: I was explosive and mobile off of every part of my body including my shoulders, for instance. My speed, creativity, and efficiency in every position was also improved. There is a reason Conor’s movement guru Ido holds bboying in the highest regard for movement training as well. Ido’s most advanced techniques are beginner level bboy techniques than any ok bboy could do better (rings not withstanding). So laugh all you want, but I think Tony is on to the best supplemental movement training possible. If you doubt it, watch the video of Tony be the only guy to successfully pull off an Iminari roll against a high level opponent in the UFC.
