Another fantastic insight into your match fishing Jon . Keep them coming 👍
Thanks, will do!
Brilliant video as always
I pretty much learned how to fish for carp at white acres... 2 weeks and a caravan every summer during my childhood. Clearly done loads of work and expanded a lot. It's been 20 years since I last wet my lines on sycamore... the missus wants to go to Spain this year. Nope... car full of kit and some nice Cornish sunshine. Thanks John. Watching your match vids has sparked my interest in getting down to England and fishing some nice commercials. Not much up here in Scotland. I still get funny looks shipping my pole out on the local waters.
Best of luck Richie 👍🐟
A proud dad who is fishing, could it be any better!
great vid jon, nice to see the festival on film instead of just in mags, learn so much more watching how you attack different lakes etc rather than just reading about it! keep them coming please! also great how involve your family aswell!

Very enjoyable viewing John, well done on the fishing and the filming.
Great video. Looks like you and the family had a great time
just watch it all very exciting, I think my old Jurassic carp pole may be a little out of date looking at your light swift kit with pullers, love the videos.
Maver Jurassic Carp. Now that's a cult pole from yesteryear!

Cracking video jon 👍👍
Great video👍
Great video mate
Keep it up mate 👍
Brilliant john
It’s been a few years since I fished the festivals, it has changed so much! No porth res, bolingy looks totally different.
This is the only big festival with no Porth. The next two spring festivals it’s included. Yes Bolingey has changed massively over the winter!
Excellent video, do you think on day 2 catching that stone just took the edge off the hook hence loosing so may?
Another great video Jon. A Master at work, always thinking "what next ?" On a personal note what made you switch to Matrix ?
I think you only have to see Matrix gear and anglers to tell you that. There are only a few companies putting the effort in on the media front too, so you have to give them a huge thumbs up for that. Right at the forefront and a refreshingly happy and enthusiastic company all round! :-)
top man
A quick question mate , what the hell are carassio ?? Lol
It's a strange species! Not a crucian carp (Carassius carassius), nor a goldfish or F1 hybrid. More commonly found in countries like Italy than here in the UK. I only know a handful of venues that have them, including White Acres and Hayfield. They are very boney mouthed, notorious for coming off and don't fight much.
Go every year no matter how good or bad the fishing is worth the 6 hour drive
must of been so frustrating loosing those fish knowing one or two who of got you another section win
Always the same in these big festivals
Have you stopped at travella not far from where you are carp to 20lb which I've had personally and you can bash it on the pole but a small bomb or method on the inside banded wafter feed groundbait and micros get em feeding in the bushes on the inside deep undercut insides you will have a blast
No I've only ever done the White Acres venues but will make a note of that thanks
stop at the Avon in Ringwood man
Never fish a match festival what’s it cost£
Love watching you but you must have an understanding wife
Yep, she understands 👍
If you don’t like the weather in Cornwall, hang around for a couple of hours.
You can get three seasons in a day there the same as Ireland!
Been there n done it! Hail at Porth. Sunshine at Bolingey!
You’ve had a lot of success on meat.
Ask Pete Upperton!😎💪🎣
Meat’s his middle name! 💪
