- Analizing, unboxing, and commenting on the Samsung soundbar and Subwoofer Q800C from a personal point of view. Showing the pros and cons of the bar, examining the sound quality compared to the simple TV sound quality.
Good video bro! We need more videos like this that shows the average man hooking up his new toys.
22:42 bose also does this with their AI dialogue mode on their newest soundbar. But I think them and samsung are the only ones at this stage with enhanced dialogue that doesn't lower sound quality
Indeed. When I was debating what to buy between Samsung and Bose, I did admit that probably Bose sound would be cleaner, as they sound better. But the connectivity and the same brand make it a cleaner communication between devices, so stuck with Samsung Q800C choice. I am not 100% sure if I made the right decision, but I am pretty happy with the performance. Good for home cinema, nothing else needed
I bought the bose 900, after 25 days it got stuck in an infinite update loop, which caused the soundbar to totally stop working. Because I was within my 30 day return period I just sent it back for a full refund. Apparently this is an ongoing issue with bose for the last 4 years. The soundbar was great, but pretty shameful for an issue like that to occur. I'll be going with Samsung next for sure, far better value and sound quality equals bose.
Dragos,first is 990C and second is 930C,baftă!
Is there any way to customize and make the bass louder? Such as eq settings to directly make bass louder? Thanks.
Not physically, only with the remote on the soundbar. The level of subwoober itself is between -6 and +6. If you would watch a movie on TV with a volume level of 20-23 out of 100, you could feel the bass pretty well from +3 to +6 Subwoofer level, and obviously, the higher, the stronger
I’m having the same issues. The bass for songs sucks asssss. But some explosions in movies or thunder sound crazy good
Mine seems to have like no bass when I listen to music. How is yours sounding?
It works pretty well. Select the right songs that contain bass to be sure your subwoofer works. If it does, then the other songs you can't hear bass probably don't even have the bass...
It has a very powerful bass and loud sounds.
Is it a loud soundbar?
Sorry for the late reply mate. It is quite loud, perfect for home cinema. It has a subwoofer too. Trust me you'll be more than satisfied to use it for your movie nights or music listening)
@@dragosdalta4317 thanks
You need to edit your video. Way too long. Need to cut out all the useless parts
Thanks, will do. New to this
Ok keep, adds to the natural and authenticity of the content.
just put earc to enable dolby atmos
Yes, mate, did that. It does make a difference. Thanks for the tip)
You don't need eArc for Dolby Atmos you can get it through regularly Arc the only difference is compressed and uncompressed audio
Cheers, man),a complete amateur video. I will improve, I promise)))
Waiting for 800D do i need any extra cables?
No, HDMI with eARC is enough for good sound sync with TV. I was new to this when I was opening. The cables that are included are enough.
Bro your review is top notch, you the bestest, I’m gonna purchase the samsung soundbar on my next pay day. Will be looking forward to your next review.🤘🏾
I'm glad you found it useful. If you do, let me have your current soundbar)))
I must say, your video stands out as the best among the rest. The representation of the sound is much more natural and realistic than the others.
Thank you mate. I am not happy for my first video to be so unorganised, but I tried to specify what I did not see in other videos. Hopefully, you can see a difference, and it is a good review of what I could fit and explain here. Apologies for being so long and in some places having unnecessary info))
I have this 800 c and 900 c. You must get the rear samsung 9500 speakers. It's a game changer
For a full surround system, you're probably right. But honestly, I don't need it at the moment)
Maybe when I'll move to my new house and upgrade the system
Does this help so the bass? That’s what I’m lacking
I have uploaded one video as a reply regarding the bass power. It was at 75 % volume, and it is very strong.
If you have issues with the subwoofer, I recommend switching it off then on and resyncing with your soundbar or TV. This process improved the situation. I hope it helps you too.
That was an issue I had earlier, and the subwoofer was barely working... But not anymore
Do let me know if you have any progress with this.
I have the q700b with the rear Atmos speakers it does the job makes watching films and other stuff more enjoyable
Nice video! Placing the sub in a corner could provide a better bass too.
I did usualy, but now, since we moved houses, I placed it next to the sofa, and the bass has increased. It feels stronger), but still 28 w of bass is not gonna shake your windows), and is enough to shake your belly😂
How much the subwoofer power consumption? (Not RMS)..it should be written on the back of it
I will tell you in 2 days' time. I'm not home for New Years). Will clme back to you with that info
voltage usage for Subwoofer Q800C
Sizde benin gibi çok araştırdınız.Samsung q800c Logitech z906 ile kıyaslandığında nasıldır?Bass seven birisiyim güçlü,kaliteli ve temiz bass istiyorum.Eğer güçleri hemen hemen aynıysa kabloyla uğraşmak istemem.
Keep it up Mate. :)
👍
Did you tested true atmos and true hd from actual BluRay? How much is the height affect of atmos and finally what's your room size
Hi, just so I can understand you correctly, what is true atmos and true hd, and what is the difference between the simple one?
In this flat, the room size was 4.5 by 6 meters
@@dragosdalta4317 thanks I meant raw source from BluRay
@@dinjoDJ never watched separate Bluray. Only stream from Netflix or websites
@@dragosdalta4317 thanks I planning to order from Samsung repackaged sale
@@dragosdalta4317because this where the eArc comes in you wouldn't get the usage from streaming providers because it would cost them more in bandwidth to put out Dolby Atmos this why you can use regular Arc eArc is mainly for blue ray players that will have this sound option
You use the hdmi E-arc cable for the best sound which is supplied. Digital is optional and dosnt give you the best sound. Also the 800c is only 5:1:2. And middle of the road. 990c is what I have and is the top at 11:1:4 channels.
Yes, that's right. But you have just extra speakers and a bit of a stronger subwoofer. If it is a choice between your system and mine, I still stick to mine as it is enough for home cinema.
@@dragosdalta4317I have the Q700b before they all changed to C with having the rear speakers making it a 5.1.4 is plenty I do see the need for the Q800c because I would have to accommodate for the left and right sided firing speakers and move the living room around I will say that the TV mine that is needs to be on wall and sound bar bit higher up as there is but of distance between the up firing speakers to the ceiling they do work but could be lil higher
@charleswrigley I honestly don't think that will make a massive difference. Your sound waves will get to you regardless of the position of the bar. Then again, the speed of sound is 1234.8 km/h, so there is no difference to where you place the sound bar.
However, if you do want a more surrounding effect for your cinema experience at home, then of course the side speakers will help with that.
