    As a racer of 19 years and started racing 600s in 2015 - most engine packages you should start in 2nd gear, shift to 3rd on restarts. This will get you the torque you need to stay with the pack on the start. From the looks of the stator cover, looks like a 05-06 636 which is what I used to run with 2nd to 3rd on starts.

      Hey man thanks for the comment! It’s 08-16 yamaha r6, but yes I def see what you mean about shifting, next race season I’m def going to start being more aggressive on restarts and racing in general. I’ll try it out I’m sure it’ll help!

      I think you're doing a fine job with the power to weight ratio.
      Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
      Peddle and steering.
      Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. A lot of good racers get extra laps at an indoor concrete kart track.
      I'm sure you are doing that.
      On the race track, right now, 2 weeks under your belt, pick a guy you can keep up with and learn to stay right on his ass. Learn his line and choice of why he picked it. Don't pass him, just stay behind him. Soon you will be making your way through traffic in the same manor.
      Do the above so your beast tames you. The become one with the beast. Think Avitar. Yeeeaaah, his first time was like your first time. Now you're getting me

    I saw you raise your left arm way up to wave. Where are your arm restraints? Even if they're not required, you should use them. And if you are using them, you need to snug them down further.

      Yes, we run raceiver radios so the tower can tell us important info, and they tell us to wave or for thumbs up to tower to make sure they’re working, if we don’t respond we go to the back

    Hey your doing good.You need to shift fron 2nd to third on restarts will get ypu the right gear ratio and most speed. I raced same r6 engine as yours but on asphalt with a wing and thye haul the mail at sunny south raceway when i raced them there and i have raced these on huge half mile dirt ovals as well with a wing and they are fast and will get you ready for a full sized 360 sprint once you get a few seasons under your belt in these and some wins. Keep digging you will get there. I been racjng aince i was 10 statted in a asphalt mustang 4 cylinder ministock all rwd class not a fwd class and i have raced everything you can think of im 32 and had to quit last hear due to breaking my back from a idiot ahoving me in the outsode wall cause he cant stand to lose for some reason whole o was leading at a huge half mile asphalt track in a 670 hp open wheel modified and hit wall head kn at wide open throttle had no time to let off. And anytime i would race a new class or new car for fordt timr first feature race out inalways started scratch in the back to get use to car and so i dont wreck it and just get comfortable for the next race where i will go for a win then. I would put some more rear bite into that car and maybe a tad more roll out and try that as well i always liked more toll put then everyone else liked and i mean alot more . Like my asphalt mod everyone rins around 1 3/4 roll out i run 2.5inches sometomes 2.3/4 of a jnch of roll out and love it not using it as a bandaid just what i like

      Thank you! Sorry to hear about your back. This was the second time I was ever in racecar, on my second season now and I feel a lot more comfortable in the car. Still not super competitive but it’s had racing again people that have been racing since 5 years old lol

      @@Bradgoesfast your nuts for jumping in a micro sprint like those as first ever racecar. Huge learning curve on driving, setup and tires ECT. Lol

      @@youknoweverything7643it def is hahaha, I just didn’t want to start in a lower class and get bored and then have to buy another car, figured start in the highest class at the track and learn, but it’s been humbling for sure 😂

    Whats the average age of the driver's?

    • @Bradgoesfast
      @Bradgoesfast  Рік тому +1

      It’s all over the place… most seem 13 to 20ish if I had to guess in the rookie class. Good mix of ages in the regular 600s
