Jayne Noche it’s just my opinion. I think that Presley’s voice is a bit to high, but she’s REALLY good at playing Lydia nonetheless. And will just doesn’t have the same chaotic energy as Alex. Yes he can’t do the voice but I wouldn’t mind if he could have more of that energy. The Maitlands actors are both great but when in character aren’t quite as humble and awkward as the original actors rob and Kerry (yes I know rob no longer plays Adam). Delia’s understudy is a bit to energetic and crazy, but I haven’t seen much content of Leslie playing Delia so I’m not sure whether that’s how she is or not. I’ve never seen the other characters understudies except these ones so I can’t judge them. But I have nothing against these guys! They are AMAZING!! Very talented, and good at what they do. I applaud them for getting this far, and Presley is so young! It’s amazing that she can act so awesome, let alone on broadway!! That’s a big achievement! I just personally prefer the originals.

A Person then u have no ear for the voice to fit the part and the characteristics for the person to fit the person to fit the part while not signing. They just seem really awkward together, while the main and only really talented actors have it flow like water off a ducks back. As an actor myself I can pick these things out easily
pharohthecat I’m sorry but saying “the only really talented actors” referring to the “main” cast is SO rude. ALL of the cast in beetlejuice are incredible, main cast, ensemble and understudy. In fact this goes for any show ever. The understudies are just as valid. I understand you have your personal preference and I get you want to state that but 1. You don’t have to be so rude about the other cast to do that and 2. You should have the decency to respect others opinions too. You’re quite happy to state your views and slate the other actors but when someone displays their opinions then you criticise them. Just have some manners and leave them alone. And show RESPECT
