I am trying to implement the learn Polish by repetition type of classes and colours in the text so there is a benefit if you watch and also if you only listen to those videos. The lessons are quite short so can be practiced in a "mean time" but combined into a playlist can be a longer lesson for multiple repetitions.
Learn Polish by listening and repetitions.
This lessons are designed for english speaking people who want to wisit or to live in Poland. It will not make you write poetry :) but you will be able to comunicate. ENJOY!!!

This is the best video dedicated to learning Polish I've seen so far! The phrases are useful, the colours and the similarity in the sentences make it really quite clear, and thanks to the repetitions you can actually get some pronounciation, thank you!!

one suggestion I would make, and i realize it would be a LOT of work, would be to spell out the words phonetically in english

I really want to learn polish fast cause I have a lot of family in Poland and I'd like to have a actual conversation with them not have my aunt be the translator. Sadly I hear that it's one of the hardest languages to learn for an English speaker.
Do not worry, it is not all that hard :) go trough the lessons and make some notes. If you spent 1 hour a day for a month you should be able to get the basics.
Set up a goal. Go simple. Learn the small talk first and then learn one topic to discuss with one of your familly members :)
That will be a good start.

No shit. Both Russian and Polish, as well as Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Serbian, Croatian, Montenegrin, Bulgarian, Bosnian, all belong to the Slavic language group, which makes them sound similar.

Well i met someone 12 years ago (polish lady), she visited the UK in a company i was contracted to.. within 6 weeks... moved my business here, bought a plot of land.. and started building a house we now live in... i travel and work far too much.. but that's Life i guess. I do like the Polish people, and i have many very nice polish friends and neighbour's here in Wroclaw.
My spoken polish is like my polish cooking ! it needs practice. So i listen to your study phrases in the morning.

@@liscatcat8756 I moved here a month ago in with my partner's family, my partner will arrive here soon. So nobody Speaks English and vice versa hence me looking on you tube to learn quickly. Of course we communicate but the translation apps confuse an awful lot. I want to learn as much as possible before my partner arrives and translates for us. These videos are fab. As for the country, it is absolutely beautiful here, I feel so very lucky. I would never return to the UK. I have never been happier. I hope all works out for you

But I agree that genders of things are sometimes kind of pointless, like in German.

You would be suprised how many polish people could say the same thing :)
For the record, it is już not "jusz" and pisać not "pisaci" :)
Why in some phrases you used na and for other sentences do ?
I fou can bring specific examples will be happy to explain. In general "na" means on (on top) top and "do" means inside. So you co "inside" the house (do domu) but you do not go "inside" the vacation :) you go on vacation (na wakacje/na urlop)

This is a great video and I listen to it every day here in Poland. However, there are quite a few English nuances I would like to point out. We do not use the indefinite article “a/an” with things that we cannot count (not quantitative), such as wine, butter, cheese, bread, water, love, etc. We only use it with things that correlate to “how many?” We also do not use it before a holiday name, such as Mother’s Day, Christmas, Veteran’s Day, etc. April isn’t “a flower month”, but just as in Polish, it is “the month of flowers”. Although the saying says “April showers bring May flowers” I just made the connection b/w Kwiecień and kwiaty) Anyway, thank you very much for the video, it is very helpful and well done. Kudos.

In return I gave him some English pointers for future reference, for which he thanked me. Not all who listen to his vids are native English speakers and may also be studying English, as is the case with my Ukrainian girlfriend. Your 2 cents were of zero value to anyone.. acquisition of language is best done with use of context. listen to it while you sleep if you want but research shows this method is lacking. Contextual input is very good.

Well no, it just does not work actually. Let me explain why.
I have looked at the study you posted and they did a scientific experiment where their ability to recognize foreign words improved, but only slightly, like 10 %.
The important part is, the people in the test HAD TO LEARN the words themselves before going to sleep and listening to the recording.
The other thing is that they only heard the foreign words, the foreign word WITH the translation.
Other than that, as I said, according to the study it somehow did work a bit. But in reality, in your own bed, putting on this recording of completely random phrases while you sleep is definitely NOT going to magically transfer a foreign language into your brain over night.
This brings me to my next point: Learning words just by memorizing a completely isolated phrases is senseless. Why? Because that's just not how the brain works. The brain needs context and emotions to save information. You have a much higher chance to rememer a new foreign word, if you have come across it in a very interesting magazine, in a speech, or even better in a conversation.
Look up what the polyglots on UA-cam say about language learning and literally ALL of them say the same. Learning a new language is a lot of hard work, you can't really do it while asleep.
I have nowhere stated that only listening to this recording while you sleep is "going to magically transfer a foreign language into your brain" especially not "over night". :)
This videos are primary made to be watched and listened at the same time. Color coding is made to help your brain to associate the meaning of the words that you hear with what you see on the screen.
I believe listening to this videos (also when you go to sleep) might be helpful to settle those sentences in the subconsciousness therefore the brain will strengthen the existing links. It works for me.
I do not agree with the statement "Learning a new language is a lot of hard work". It does not have to be! I myself, learned English with no hard work involved whatsoever. I learned by watching movies and playing PC games (fallout 1 was the most significant to this process i think). It was not overnight but it happened. The level of English i reached might not be perfect but it allows me to communicate on day to day basis in a professional environment. That is good enough for me.
If such form of learning is not working well for you, that is ok :) There are many different people in the world and it seems some of them finds this form of learning to be helpful.
