Ravi Gupta, glad you did this video's. Let me tell you what's happening behind the scenes. Kannada film chamber is Anti kannada, they are a big Mafia. There's a big reason why theaters are being shut down. These places are being bought by investors in Hyderabad. Obviously with the support of Anti kannada mafia in KFI. Mahesh Babu is opening multiplex chain in Bangalore. Telugu movies are screened dispite back to back flops. Because of which kannada movies don't get screens. Owners of theaters have changed from kannada to telugu owners. Don't be surprised if you see only Telugu movies getting screened across Karnataka. Change is already happening. Our poor kannada audience is busy with fan wars.
Same with REX THEATRE in Brigade Road,KGF chapter 1 was the last movie to be screened
Now it is turned into a mall
Kempegowda Road where Nartaki theatre stands was full of theatres once upon a time atleast 35-40 theatres were there sadly today only 4-5 theatres exists.... All shut down ☹️
Every Blockbuster used to be celebrated as a festival in Santhosh and Nartaki
Seeing First Day First Show in these theatre used to give a very different vibe all along. I have First day First of Kannada movies in other theaters but The Atmosphere which I felt when I saw Raajkumara FDFS in Santhosh was literally something else
If KGF Chapter 2 was Released in these theatres then I promise you All the Shows in these 2 theatres would have been Housefull for 7 days Straight I can Promise you that much with the craze the movie had because these 2 theatres were also Pocket friendly U can watch a film peacefully without carrying about your cash in the wallet I can assure u that cuz Seeing Movies in PVR Inox is so expensive nowadays that Popcorn in PVR and Inox is Cost more than the Movie ticket which really not a good thing
I hope Santhosh and Naratki theatres open very soon and I want to see more movies in these 2 theatres as soon as possible
Agreed, Ravi bhai. These theatres were the MOST ICONIC theatres of Bengaluru. Once, there were 22 theatres in Gandhinagar road but now, just 5 remain. Sad but that is the reality 😔

Dolby Sound System in Single Screen Theaters the best. Thats the reason I have always preferred to watch in single screens, the multiplexes are just like cabins

Best experience are Multiplex it can be visuals or sound. Single theatres experience will be with audience. Bad part in Multiplex is popcorn 🍿 is costlier than movie ticket price.

Nartaki...balcony..was the best to watch the movie .large screen .had watched .Hindi movie "utsav" and Kannada movie ."Aakasmika".
Santosh..also was a good theatre...where Hindi "Sholay" had a 100 weeks run..and Vishnuvardhan's Apta Mitra...52 weeks .golden jubilee

In 70's and 80's when it was new more Hindi films were screened in Nartaki and Santosh. I had watched Raam Teri Ganga Maili in Santosh and next day Utsav in Nartaki in 1985

Single Screen Theatres Were And Are Gems And Favorite Landmarks Of Bengaluru And Other Cities, Towns And Villages As Well...It's An Emotion For Middle Class And Poor Cinema Watchers!!! I Think The Owners And Governments Should Emphasize On Reviving Them Instead Of Demolishing Them To Make Way To Malls And Shopping Complexes For Sake Of Huge Profits!!!
It is three theatre's Nartaki, Sapna & Santosh. Nartaki is the one with staircase leading upwards which Ravi Gupta was showing. Sapna theatre doesn't have a staircase leading upwards, the entrance is directly at the road level. Both Nartaki & Sapna are in the same building. The next building to the right has Santosh theatre.
